Week 19 at a glance

Still writing down all the calories it has definitely made a bid difference (5.75 Lbs.) Even though it is a pain I will continue to write everything down, just to keep me honest. Why do we lie to our selfs, it makes no since.

The wind has been so bad for so long here, it just makes working out no fun.

Today was a first I jogged my whole work out (4.13 MILES). I did set out to do it & I did. I have been smiling all night.

I have finally made an appointment to have the bottom of my foot looked at. I think its a callous. I have tried the different things at the store nothing works. It has been hurting since the first week that I started exercising. So I go to the doctor next Monday. Its hard to go to the doctor when you don't have insurance.

I am near my target weight but it's impossible to lose the last 3 pounds. Now in the summer i like eating ice-creams and drinking frozen coffees. As it is so hot i feel exhausted and i eat ice-creams to get more energy. I think that ice-creams and frozen desserts give me a lot of calories without giving me more energy and strength. What do you drink to stay cool in summer and do you eat a lot of ice-creams or are you avoid them?

I just wanted to tell you I have been following your progress the last few weeks. You are a real inspiration. We have the same starting weight 311 and I would love to be where you are... I am down to 293, and have been at it for 3 weeks.

Any tricks of the trade to share or words of wisdom? I would love to see a sample of your daily eating regime...

If you could post here with your sample diet day, or in the 200+ thread I would love to hear more from you...

If your trying to lose weight I would avoid ice cream as much as you can. Just a suggestion, I think KEMPS makes a "Skinny Cow" ice cream sandwich that tastes pretty good but does not have near the punch in calories or fat than regular ice cream has. You can always do frozen yogurt as well.

The icecream may give you a temporary sugar buzz of energy but in the long run afterwards you will be more tired
 
Well, now that my A-levels are over I suppose I have no choice but to get on the wagon and start being healthy again. I'm going to start weighing in every day, just for the motivation really.

ABY, have you considered making your own ice lollies? You can use things like diet lemonade, or fruit juice and just freeze them in a mould. That way the calories are significantly less and you control what you are eating.

Hi bigguy64,

This is what I usually eat.

Breakfast - Chicken, Or Turkey Burger, Or Yogurt & Cereal - with the turkey burger I will have salsa on it, with the chicken I have B.B.Q. sauce.

Lunch - Chicken, Or Turkey Burger, Or Sandwich - with the turkey burger I will have salsa on it, with the chicken I have B.B.Q. sauce.

Dinner - Some kind of protein, vegetables, brown rice

I have no sugar, no soda.

I exercise at least every other day, I never miss two day in a row of my exercise.

This is my third week of writing down my calories, it has made a huge difference.
