Yeah, I'm one that needs to see that number every day. Used to affect me emotionally so that wasn't good but these days it's just a tool. I'm not going to give up on my diet and exercise no matter what the scale says but I do tweak my eating a little...just try and eat less and all healthy.

I'm starting out one pound up cause I ate too much yesterday. Today though (so far anyway), I'm doing fine.

Hi,
I think this is a great idea - if it works for you. I used to worry about putting on a pound here and there and fluctuating from day to day, but now I don't. I read an interesting study in the Journal of the American Medical Association (I'll have to find it and send link) which studied older Americans. Basically, people who are overweight but fitter lived longer than those who were thin and less fit. The point is - get fitter. Even if you don't see the pounds coming off daily, you still know it's making a big difference and that should be the motivator, not just weight loss (in my opinion).
 
ALthough I know it does not mean anything to weight ourselves every day, I still do it, otherwise I feel lost. It keeps me motivated. I have achieved my diet weight goal, and I don't wanto to lose anymore, just make sure I am not gaining anything.

can I join? I've been really sick and not able to do anything but sleep and cook soup. damned delicious homemade soups that pack a wallop of calories!

I'm getting back to daily weigh ins until the 6lbs I gained over the last few weeks are gone!
