Chelle and Cate!

Monday is the day! Joining you two on the 100% train :)

Thanks for the invite and I was going to start on the weekend, but didn't make it!!

I think I ate bad enough this week to make myself hate everything I was eating... YAY!!!

Today:

Yogurt with Cinnimon and Benefibre
Apple
Tuna with Celery
Apple
Turkey Stir Fry
"Apple Pie" (Apple microwaved with cinnimon for 45 sec.. then crush 2 servings of crackers in a ziplock bag. Add apples, seal and toss together.) I also like to mas it a bit. Its YUMMY and totally Cohen Legal!

Excellent!!
Day 2 today. Plenty of room on this train! Bec has hopped back on as of yesterday as well. It will feel more like a team thing now! Every day we'll feel a little bit better. Every day a little bit slimmer, xo Cate.

A Cohen's newbee

Hi, its so good to see such inspirational results! I booked myself for a free info session for Dr Cohen's today. Im determined to loose weight but not sure if I'll be able to stick to the diet program. I have never been on diet before, especially a low carb one! Any inspirational thoughts appreciated.

Hi Rexy,

Welcome - my best tip is to be really strict. Accept that the first week will be really hard and you will feel hungry. After that it become much easier and you feel so good that you just don't want to deviate nor do you have those crazy cravings that make you cave in.

I reckon read other people's journals -Cate's is fabulous - she didn't deviate for 28 weeks and that's my goal too.

Oh, don't compare your weight loss to someone else's as we are all different and it can make you feel a bit down if yours is slower. The voice of experience talking here -I lost 6.1kgs at my 3 week weigh in and was unhappy as some of my friends had lost a lot more - have to put that behind me and be happy with it!!

I'd wish you luck but you won't need it.

Keep reading and posting here for support,

Del x

Oh... You meant LAST Monday...

So.. it was attack of the TOM... did great for 2 days... bad for 1 day and um.... unspeakable for 1 day? :willy_nilly:

Good thing is... got TOM and now... I am A OK!

Been 100% since yessterday and have the right frame of mind so I will not deviate again.

Same thing happened last month the 7 days before TOM were "Pantry Monster" :reddevil: I just had never experienced before...

Luckily, I know its coming next time... but it will strike right as I should be heading into the 2 weeks before I order refeed... so I absolutely know I can't deviate.

Ok.. well I'm back on the train and I will head out to go read everyone else journals! :coolgleamA:

ha ha ha yes it was the mon 26th… oh well.. Az, you poor poor thing..
I must admit apart from the inconvenience of TOM I haven’t had too much of a problem, yet… I hope you are now feeling better and stronger.. Keep up all your hard work az, you are doing a great job…

A big HeLLo to rexy, Look forward to reading your posts.. be good be strong… be kind to yourself…

Any way lots more to post so I shall pop out now…
Ta ta for now

Ok..

So...

I recomitted and did a total "reset" in my brain.

New measurements new pictures (no more comparing my new pictures to the 09.29.2008 picture) which I will compare my current progress too.

I also restarted my ticket over on the official PD site... counting down to when I can order re-feed.

I need to not look at what I have done, but rather what I still had to do.

It helped a TON and has made all of the difference in the World.

I am 3 days at 95% (still haven't had a full 2L of water) but I am getting that done today...

I am down 5.5lbs in 3 days!!!

Now... I usually only lose 10lbs total a month... so this is AMAZING!

I 'blew' my first month eating store made 'ground beef/mince meat'. Even though it was "extra lean" it was still 7-12% fat. Doh... So even in my first month it was only 10lbs.

I would LOVE to have a big month!!!

So I am glad to report... I am on the Cohen train, full speed ahead!:driving:

There are all kinds of goodies in here today and I am NOT even interested!!

YAY!!!!

CohenInAz- Excellent news that you have recommited & congratulations on the big loss. I think our bodies recognise Cohen's & sigh a big sigh of relief. You sound like you are feeling good. Aaahhh, for Seratonin, hooray for Cohen's! Cheers, Cate.
Hi Rexy & welcome to our little part of the global world. Don't be afraid of the "diet" or it being low-carb. It is amazing how quickly you feel better once you are used to it. If I can do it, anyone can! Cheers, Cate

I dropped 7.9lbs this week, which is the most I have lost EVER on the plan. Cate, I think that answers the "I wonder if I was off long enough?" queston!

I think the real test will be this week. I've been a bit hungry this past week and it could be because I am not having the crackers. They've been a gateway to cheating for me, so I took them out. WHen hungry strikes the second vitamin does the trick, but this week I forgot to carry my vitamins with me so I chewed gum. Alot of gum (3 pieces which is a lot for more but still fine with plan), that really does it for me.

I am glad everyone is doing ok and thanks for the "lets get back on the plan".

I hope to be done in the next 4-6 weeks. So we will see what happens.

Hi Caz, It feels much better doesn't it, with us all being back on plan. Same plan, same journey with friends. It makes it all much easier. You are doing very well sweetie. Go gals! Cheers, Cate.

Cate It does it does it does!

I've also not lost anything today... but I knew that had to be coming with droping 7.9lbs in a week!

I will stay the course and will go deviation free... I can't let the little things slip me up like they have in the past.

I did go for a walk yesterday for the first time since I did the 1/2 Marathon and then didn't lose anything today... so I think that might have had something to do with it too... but I've got to get the walking in, otherwise I am just losing muscle mass and that is not an option.

Caz, I think your body hangs onto the fluid for at least a day after exercise. The day after bush-walking I always put on about a kg & then lost it again next day. Going well, going well.....xo Cate

Ha.. I will plan on having no loss tomorrow too then :) I walked for 5 miles today. I was only going to go for 2-3 but then I walked too far and had to turn around.

Its been raining off and on and even hailed for a bit, which is unusual.

Confused

:grouphug:
Hi there everybody
I am a mother of 4 children aged between 8years and 7 months and have tried every diet in the book i have just enquired about Cohens and wonder how expensive it is as we are like most people have a young family and a mortgage to pay for... I need to loos 30kg and i love to have alcohol on the weekends, quiet a bit actually but i am so so unhappy with the way i look i would give that up if i had to! I also have NO will power although i did give up smoking!
Any help or advice would be great
I have even contemplated lap band surgery but that would take 12 as we are in private health
Look forward to hearing back

Cohens is strict, No drinkies.. its hardish but well worth the effort...The program helps us not to crave foods and naughties but we still have those emotional or special occassion tugs that we have to deal with.... Cohens is my lifesaver, but that is my opinion.. You must be 100% dedicated to dropping those kilos and sacraficing todays pleasures for tomorrow's happiness...

Anyway, dont be shy post as many questions as you like in any of the links above or make your own thread...

Good luck...
