I've thought about it, but in this case, its 99% fat free!!!

I usually have a 120g serving, so less than 2g of fat... which is better than the steak I have and I think the Chicken I buy.

It has no fillers, no skin and only breast meat. It something new they guy from the meat department suggested it, said he thought it might be the best thing with the least fat.

Hmm... let me see...

Tuna is:

StarKist Flavor Fresh Pouch® Tuna

I cooked!

I actually cooked...

Turkey Stir Fry:

Ground Turkey (largest allotment mine is 120g)
Green Bell Peppers (allotment)
Tomato (35g)
Mushroom (allotment)
Lettuce Leafs (allotment)

Spray Pam Organic Olive Oil spray in a pan, and sauté the veggies until slightly brown. Add the crumpled turkey and sauté until golden.

Bring to lo heat and add a cap (it is less than a tbls) of Balsamic Vinegar to the mixture, mix well.

I use 3 lettuce leaves to create the wraps.

It was YUMMY.

CohenInAz- I think you are losing at a good rate & shouldn't be at all worried. You may have set yourself a too high monthly weight-loss goal. 10lbs is great! Everyone loses at a different rate. After my initial rapid first 4 week loss, I lost between 4-5kgs(8.8-11kg) each month. This is by no means a slow weight-loss. Remember, this is a lifestyle change. If anything I would go back & go even slower, especially with re-feed, so that I would learn even more about healthy eating, what's right for my body. I do know, but it has been trial & error since finishing re-feed and I ignored some of the basic guidelines given to us. It wasn't firmly entrenched in my brain! You are doing really well with the program, are really focussed and will be successful I'm sure. I have registered in yr other forum, by the way, but didn't have a PD # & haven't heard back yet. Cheers, Cate

Yay! I was worried I had offended you...:hurray:

Life is.. well at the first REAL plateau... I've been up and down the same 1 lbs for the past week. But my body fat appears to have dropped down a percentage... so I guess it is all ok.

I'm also about to start my TOM so I am hoping to drop so major lbs after it gets going... or at least would like to.

I have 3 weeks before I leave for my trip, actually 3 weeks from this time I will be on a plane! I just wish I had lost more, but I've been really consistant so I will take it.

I guess the most exciting thing, is I fit into jeans that I wore when I was 15lbs lighter!!! SO that IS amazing. They are a Levi 'Junior' 13 so I was excited. I washed them this morning and they would button but there was too much muffin top happening, so I took them off. Still very exciting.

I will just have to see where I end up in the next few weeks. I am not going to make it to 162.... but I hope I get close, I at least want 168, so that will be 30lbs total on the Cohen Program since my offical start date.

41lbs gone forever

Wow... 41lbs.. gone forever!!

I hit my higest weight of 218 last November.... and stayed there until May 21 2008. When I bought the Wii Fit. I didn't drop very much that first few months... but I managed to get to 210 buy August 19 when I left for New York.

I came back from New York, with new self confidence and had dropped to 206 on that trip so I came back 08.26.08 at that new weight. Then... sometime in September I decided to go for sure, onto Cohens. I dropped to 202 when I receieved the program on 09.29.2008.

Between 09.29.2008 and my "Official" Date of 10.03.2008 I ate all Cohen Food, per the plan and dropped to 198.6.... No basically 10 weeks later (from 09.29.2008) I am at 177.0. 25lbs dropped on Cohens and 41lbs since the heaviest I have ever been...

I like how I've dropped 25, in less time than it took me to drop the first 16.

I still have a long way to go. But I like myself at this weight. I was 178 for nearly 5 years. This is a little bit of a dangerous weight for me... because I do like the way I look, in my head.. I look skinny. Its only when I see pictures that the light goes off and says... you're still overweight.... you still need to lose weight.

I just need to realize that I will look and feel even better when I get even lower!

CohenInAz- I'm having trouble saying what I mean at the moment but will try. I know how you feel about seeing yourself in a certain way. I think we are so used to being overweight that it's hard to really see ourselves clearly. I know that I really should drop quite a few kilos but I also know I would look skinny and everyone told me I looked too thin when I first got to C's GW. It's hard to know what to do really. I trust Cohen's & I think it would be much easier to stabilise if you get to goal weight & then follow the maintenance guidelines to the letter. You can adjust up a few pounds after a while, after you have stabilised, if you wish. Now I just have to hold with that idea & do it. After Christmas when my mum has gone home. Then I'll have to fib about my weight, even to my LH, as he doesn't want me to lose any more! It's hard to follow Cohen's 100%, without anyone knowing!
I wish I was flying to New York in 3 weeks. I just loved NY!! You are going to feel and look so much better for your trip. Almost half-way to GW. Well done!! Cheers, Cate

I hear you and get what your trying to say. Its just so funny, most girls think their fat and are skinny. I think I'm skinny and still overweight!

As far as goal weight... on a totally unrelated thing, I'm going to have to change my goal weight, but I have a bit of a special circumstance.

I'm not going to change my goal weight lightly, but right now it is physically impossible for me to get to goal weight.

Essential Body fat for a Female is 10-14%. Right now I have 125-130 lbs of lean muscle mass with a body fat percentage of 35-38%.

If i don't lose lean muscle mass, the lowest I can go in weight is 150 and that is with a body fat of 20%, which is the body fat of a competitive athlete...

I am aiming for a 22% body fat. I'm going to hold off as long as possible to change my goal weight and go almost exclusively by my body fat%. I still have a long way to go, but unless I lose lean muscle mass, its going to go up.

I used to crew (row) so that is why I have so much lean muscle. It used to only be at 105, but I got it up to 120 before I gained all the weight. Ideally, I lose muscle mass and get to 115 on Lean Muscle mass and then at 22% and that puts me at 140, still 10lbs more than my current goal weight, but it is "Ideal" for me according to my doctor and trainer.

The consulants said you usually don't lose lean muscle mass on the diet, so they are willing to work with me so I am just really going to focus on the Body Fat.

Ugh..

I finally lost a pound this week! It really is true what they say about how you won't lose a lbs and then drop body fat!

I'm down another % in Body Fat! So that is exciting!

Today is going to be a tough day at work, because we are letting everyone know they are getting a pay cut... because of the economy, in an hour. They are getting vacation days to replace the lost income, so I hope that helps in a way.

I've known it was a possibility for a few weeks, so maybe that added stress hasn't helped with my own weight loss. I wasn't part of the decision, but I know our department will get a blunt of the blame, but thats ok. Its our job and today is the day its announced, although it doesn't go into effect for a little over a month, which I think is really nice too.

Hi CohenInAz. It's never good having to pass on bad news. What a pity they have to be told today. Christmas has enough of it's own stresses.
How wonderful to be losing body fat & being able to measure it like you do. I wouldn't have a clue. The mirror is the only thing I go on these days. I would love to have a fitness test & a personal exercise programme. Hope your day goes ok & they don't "shoot the messenger" so the saying goes. Cheers, cate.

Bah ha ha ha

Az,
I think our condition is called "Reverse Anorexia"... Reality only hits when we try on clothes..Bah ha ha ha...
I tell you what i got shock when itried on bathers before i started the old program 4 kids certainly have given me a spare tyre.... it was like a vision in a horror movie ....AAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Gave in and bought a plus size 18 pair of shorts... they look much better then my last pair.....cant wait for them to look as bad though...

Any way have a great weekend...

This is true, but it doesn't go into effect on January 12, so we didn't want to tell them after the holidays and have it be even worse having spent money on presents ect. At least this way, they have 3 "normal' paychecks to prepare.

CohenInAz- You're welcome!;)

We try!!!

I only have 13 days left on this 12 weeks and then start again on my next 12.

I am hoping to finish in the next 12 weeks, so that would be 10 weeks into the new program.

I think as long as I hit goal weight in that 12 weeks, I get the refeed without having to do another 12 weeks.. that would be VERY expensive!

I dropped 1.5 lbs yesterday... its been a long time since I've had that big of a drop so woo hoo.

We will see if it stays off with tomorrows weigh in... but I weigh in on two scales every morning. My Wii Fit and then a normal scale that gives BF%. And they both said I was down to 174.5... WOO HOO

Maybe I will make it to 169 or lower before my trip!!!!

Way to go!!! Well done, cheers, Cate
