The Tattooed Lady

Lots of kickboxing and boxing moves. I was doing good until it was double time...:eek: I did my best to keep up but at times didn't quite make it. The more I do it the more I'll be able to keep up.

I did some boot camp today and couldn't quite keep up with all of the upper body workout stuff -- but I remembered how much I could do before and know I will build up what I can do and keep up with...
 
I know I'll get it. White girl doesn't have any rhythm but like I said the more I do it, the more I'll get the hang of it.
 
Yoga

I got my yoga dvd in the mail today. I'll try it out Monday. I've never done yoga before so this should be very interesting.
 
New Goal

I have a new goal...I would like to lose at least 1 lb a week. I think I can do it w/my videos and the food. Plan of attack is to do bootcamp, yoga, bootcamp, yoga, etc. You get the point. Kegan is still here so I can't do bootcamp this morning but I will get it done today then I'll be back on track tomorrow morning w/yoga.

Had a good weekend so it's back on track today. Had a good visit w/m&d. The cookies didn't turn out but that's ok...there was enough at the party that it didn't matter if they were there or not. Guess I really didn't need them after all.
 
Sorry to hear about the cookies - will you try them again?

That's a great (and reasonable) goal to shoot for. Try thinking of your food as fuel for your workouts - the better you eat, the better you'll perform.
 
Yes I'll try them again and actually follow the directions this time...:D I thought it would be the same if I mixed all the ingredients in at the same time but nope that didn't work.

As for the goal I thought it would be good to start with and work my way up from there. We'll see how it pays off Saturday.
 
Good workout for the second time using the dvd. Still need to work on my form but think I'm slowly(snail slow)getting there. I did however start to feel it in my arm and legs like I'm spose to w/some of the moves. Taebo is a very controlled workout so form is very crucial.
 
Yoga is not what I think it would be. It's harder than it looks. Some of the poses had trouble with but practice, practice, practice. I've always slumped over all my life so sitting up straight is something I need to work on. That'll help me w/the poses, especially the seated forward bend. Luckily we can use a tie or a bathrob tie to help w/that pose.
 
Was hungry more than usual but held off. Maybe a bad idea..don't know. I'm taking the day off of fitday to see if I can do it while eating good. I only didn't to fitday when m&d was in town and we know how well that goes(always gain weight..2 lbs or more). I need to see if I can slowly wean myself off of it. Again maybe bad idea..don't know.

Fat - 20%, Carbs - 50%, Protein - 28%

Meal 1 - oatmeal, coffee, milk
Meal 2 - egg white, milk
Meal 3 - tuna casserole, cottage cheese
Meal 4 - chicken, broccoli/mac cheese
Meal 5 - tuna casserole, cottage cheese
 
Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies. It shows how to do the basic 12 poses. It also has an intermediate workout if you should choose to but I think it will take me awhile before I try it.
 
That's cool - I always HATED the downward dog, but now I think I'm strong enough (and light enough) to hold the pose with less difficulty.
 
Bought some resistance bands for my taebo. They are not the "billy bands" but I'm sure they're work just the same, hopefully. I really didn't want to spend $17-$25 on them. I almost bought a yoga mat but I didn't. I might need to as time goes on but for now I'll just use the floor.

Cleaned up more of the yard tonight when Greene got home after supper. Bagged about 6 bags of trash and a pile of metal ready to haul or for somebody to come and scavenge thru it and take what they want.

Meal 3 - chicken, broccoli/mac cheese, diet pop (leftover from meal 2)
Meal 4 - mexican porkchops w/veggies, beef flavored rice, water
Meal 5 - pb sandwich, water

I'm still eating the recommended amount of food but ate less of the rice (.5 cup instead of 1 cup). I left the cottage cheese for Greene but he didn't eat any so still have some for tomorrow.
 
Taebo this morning...:D

Had to take the bands back so now I'm back to being bandless again. I didn't know that they only sold them one in a package...d'oh. I would end up spending about the same amount of money if I wanted the "billy bands" so I'm gonna end up buying them.

I borrowed Wendy's idea of the berries and cream. I bought blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and fat free whipcream. I didn't have time to have them for a snack this morning but I'll try to get them in either the afternoon when I get back or tomorrow.

Today is another library get together at 1:00. This time it's at one of the local church. Today they are going to do treasure boxes and pirates and face painting. Last week they had a treasure hunt and pirate and map making.

Moved my new desk into the room and took the old one out. You never know how much stuff you have collected until you have to move it...:(

Ash had a good time making the craft and listening to stories. Not sure what next week is going to be but it'll be something to do w/pirates.

Meal 4 - turkey meatloaf, corn, green beans, milk
Meal 5 - broccoli/mac cheese, milk (carbs, veg, fat)
 
Cleaned the computer room and need to clean the living room so hopefully I can get the yoga done today, but if I don't, I'll sweat it little bit but not whole much. Breakfast was later than normal so we'll see how my food goes today plus I was beginning to get a headache (don't know if it was because breakfast was later than normal...:confused: ).
 
Swept the living room, put up 3 or 4 loads of laundry (bad habit of waiting til the clothes pile up before I put them up), changed sheets on the bed, brought dirty clothes down from upstairs, need to do 2 loads of laundry. I need to sweep the laundry room, bathroom and kitchen.

Meal 2 - south beach deli ham and turkey wraps w/berries and cream, water

I didn't want the jello so I subbed the berries. Might be a bad idea but it sounded good at the time.
 
Never did get my yoga done but tomorrow is taebo. I on the other hand got everything done that I needed to get done earlier...:D
