oh heck... i had to try...

So i got 36 in about 25 seconds. i have to work on pace. AND, i got chest, bicepts, and tricepts worked out at the gym with a trainor tonight.

YOU know me,,, Flyinfree

82!!!!! I'm guessing I can get 60 on a "great day" Video to come on Sat.

The 82 (chest graze/touch floor and all the way up--but not locked out) were completed in-between Weight training sessions. Meaning this: train, rest, FreeForm-cardio, rest, etc.....I only train each body part every 5 days. In other words, the tri, chest, back, shoulders, were in resting period, and not taxed the day before(they rested). So be sure its done on a rest day, and not taxed previously.

This new freeform training did in fact impact my bench (as espected, it was something different, my body wasnt used to (and this is good!), I didnt progress a rep, I stayed the same, but I expect an adaption, and progress the next session with the chest though.

This is the sort of stuff one has to learn, if there is something new added, it could effect another. Give it a small adaption period, the body WILL adjust (with proper rest--diet).

So what I am saying, is that if we do this, the environment needs to be the same. It needs to be done on non training days of rest.

yes, it is about keeping our bodies trying, thats why I suggested the-- in fun contest..........Maybe we could get the admin to give the winner (of what ever we agree to) a few rep points, or something......for an incentive.....Just a thought.

July 5th, 2007: Thoughts for the day

Todays, MAIN THOUGHT:

"Today's preparation determines tomorrow's achievement."
~ Unknown

More to follow, ROCK ON!
=======================================================
Today is EVERYDAY for us in our pursuit.

We must be strong and PREPARE our minds, our hearts, our soul, our being, and every facet of ourselves, to be successful--and ALL OF YOU have in YOU:

“Spectacular achievement is always preceded by spectacular preparation.”
Robert H. Schuller (THINK, on this one)

“The starting point of all achievement is desire”
Napoleon Hill

“The achievement of your goal is assured the moment you commit yourself to it.”
Mack R. Douglas

Plan purposefully. Prepare prayerfully. Proceed positively. Pursue persistently.”
William Arthur Ward

“Preparation is the be-all of good trial work. Everything else-felicity of expression, improvisational brilliance-is a satellite around the sun. Thorough preparation is that sun.”
Louis Nizer

“If one asks for success and prepares for failure, he will get the situation he has prepared for.”
rashaski Florence Scovel Shinn

When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better.

“Little strokes fell great oaks.”

“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.”
=====================================================

“Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside of them was superior to circumstances”
Bruce Barton

(this is a GOOD ONE, to think over. One the days you dont want to train, on the days you want to cheat on diet and know you should not, PULL the inner voice from inside you (the superior voice), and do what you should to step forward to your goal)

=========================================================

And A POWERFUL STATEMENT:

“All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts”
James Allen
(this is so very, very true People!)
=========================================================

Be all that you can be. All that you want to achieve is in you right this very minute! The goal you seek is ALL IN THE PREPARATION of the goal. Mind and body MUST be in sinc or they BOTH LOSE.

Hope everyone had a GREAT DAY! Hope you met all of your goals and then some. I hope that if you had a trying day, the inner voice prevailed and you triumphed over what ever the issue was. ROCK ON!,,,,,,,,,,,,WISH YOU THE BEST!

2morrow, I have something interesting coming.....................

July 6th, 2007: Thoughts for the day-recap reason for thread

I want to restate the purpose of this thread.

I firmly believe that the heart and soul of achieving a goal lies within the mind being powerful enough to engage outward action to ensure the goal is attained. You can garner all the education on diet and weight training to arm your assault, but if your mind is not set correctly to bring an outward act in accordance, it will not do you any good. It is education festering worthless to you.

A comparison to drive this home: The devil satan, knows there is a God, he has seen God, has talked with God, he believes in God, the DIFFERENCE is he does NOT repent from his acts and carries them out anyway.

The same analogy can be applied to diet and training: One can know what to do, how to do it, understand its truth and weed out the mistruths and lies, and STILL not want to do it (and this occurs mentally for the healthy person), and the DIFFERENCE between these persons and the ones that are successful, is in the mental framework of the mind desiring with all there heart and soul the goal they want to achieve.

This thread hits a different area of diet and training that doesnt get much press or recognition as the logistics of diet and the differing types of training does. Its a shame, because in the end of things (when things are considered equal, and playing the average percentages), its the mental battles that normally doom the person from obtaining there goals--when they were achieveable in the first place.

Some dont need this sort of motivation in the mental sense (they already possess it in there own perceptive manner), others seek it every day, and others just once in a while to keep moving forward. In any event, we all need some sort of mental stimulation no matter how its achieved.

Thus the reason for this thread. (a bit wordy, but......WE ROCK ON!)

Like I have said many times: If you fall down 7 times, you get the hell up the 8th time, and try again. There is NO backing up.........what the hell is that? You be weak----your results will be weak. You be continued strong, and you will be strong............bottom line.

I will admit, I am one of those that do not have sympathy for one that cant handle their diet. Most of us have complications in this area, sympathy isnt what one needs. Most of us understand what causes diet complications; understanding isnt what one needs. What one needs, is the tools to overcome the mental and physcial demands of the diet, and have the consciously aided intellect to use them to overcome them---Chillen
(screw execuses, they bore the hell out of me---ROCK THE HELL ON, dont give excuse for failure, give yourself an excuse to WIN!)

We all know cravings are going to come, why do you act so dang suprised when they do? You MUST have a defense and strength plan in place to be successful for these times.

ALL OF YOU ARE GREAT! NOW GO MAKE YOUR OWN FATE! You determine it! Its in your hands! And, I know you can do it!

Have a nice night all, I wish you the best!

What do you mean by " cant handle their diet " exactly ? Someone who has difficulty / lacks discipline to stick to diet guidelines ?

Why are you not sympathetic for those that have a tougher time at reaching their goals than some others who are able to reach them much more easily ?

Everyone is different and progresses toward their goals at a different rate IMO - and some with more or fewer obstacles and setbacks along the way than others.

Most of us understand what causes diet complications; understanding isnt what one needs. What one needs, is the tools to overcome the mental and physcial demands of the diet, and have the consciously aided intellect to use them to overcome them---Chillen

I assume you aren't suggesting people don't try and educate themselves as to " why " - i.e and try and ' understand ' - their unhealthy lifestyle may have potentially adverse consequences. But, to better understand the " whys ' behind making permanent changes to that lifestyle as much as they can....but the best predictor of sustainable change is a combo of knowledge and action.

I am not going to reply to "selective quotes" Wrangell, without you understanding the whole. If you would have read this log from the beginning, you would not have writtent your comment, in my opinion.

In this log you will find the answer to you own questions and comments in your post and you will find a post for the overall purpose of this log, and once read, makes your comments obsolete (albeit, with respect, pointless), and you will gain an understanding of my comments you selected once you adjoin the others I have posted within this log.

I believe most who read this log understand where I am coming from, especially the ones that have followed from the beginning. Of course I advocate education on training and dieting, but I KNOW it takes MORE than just this important element.

Having knowledge DOES NOT for most people, in itself, result in an outward action: its the totality of the mental framework in relation to the goal their wanting to achieve that brings---continual, sustainable, and progressive outward action.

For example, I could have all the knowledge in the world on diet and training, BUT, if I am not motivated (one element of the mental framework) Im not going to accomplish crap or at best my results are going to be crap, because I lack a certain motivation and a consistancy in this motivation that the goal requires. Most pepple KNOW (and obtain ways to learn it--knowledge), but something INSIDE them prevents consistant work toward the goal (and knowledge of diet and training thus becomes obsolete, and isnt---a role player in progression): THUS I am trying to hit on this important element.

One MUST be educated and have knowledge on diet and training, but this is only a small portion in the larger battle. Learning ones self, there strengths and weaknesses, and knowing how to inspire, motivate, and overcome self weaknesses, and empowering strengths, is essentional keys toward their goal, and thus another purpose of this thread. This area gets small press as compared to the elements of training and dieting, and THIS VERY THING (the totality of the mental composite) is what wrecks progression toward goals and objectives.

And, why do you tend to slelect one portion of a paragraph, without admitting the whole? Example:

I will admit, I am one of those that do not have sympathy for one that cant handle their diet. Most of us have complications in this area, sympathy isnt what one needs---this is what you quoted from me, but you left out the following, which answers your question in advance if you think about it.

Most of us understand what causes diet complications; understanding isnt what one needs. What one needs, is the tools to overcome the mental and physcial demands of the diet, and have the consciously aided intellect to use them to overcome them---Chillen This is saying DEAL WITH IT EFFECTIVELY! Dont feel sorry for yourself, if you know there going to come, deal with it in a postive--progressive manner: Crying isnt going to solve it, feeling sorry for yourself isnt going to solve it, feeling guilty (can help you if administered correctly) and not allowed to fester yourself more deeper.

Another purpose of this thread is to make people think--inward--and address themselves in a positive manner, that progresses them toward there goal. Everyone is different, some need sympathy, and then a kick in the behind at the same time (PUN intended for a point only)to get them going.

Sympathy serves of purpose if its APPLIED CORRECTLY to the stimulant causing it and used effectly in the future as a rememberance of how it felt. When were talking diet and training and lacking in diet.

What Can we learn from looking up into a tree? Lets see.

Dont let your knowledge and understanding of diet and training sit under a shady tree.
Let your eyes look upward into the tree.
What do you see?
Limbs with branches and leaves taking in the sunlight.
You remove the leaves, the sunlight will warm you, and the sun will shine on your brightly.

This is the same way to view yourself inwardly:

Grow strong mental limbs from the root of knowledge.
Let the limbs branch out and bring in strengths
Let the leaves on the branch grow to soak in the light of overcoming weaknesses.
When the time of the season comes, these leaves will fall off and return to the ground near the root,
exposing the TRUE LIGHT------Chillen.

I found this just recently for my own research and I would like to share it:

Chris Widener
Motivational Speaker & Author

Make Greatness Your Goal! - Chris Widener

If greatness is your goal, whether in your business life, your personal relationships or your own personal growth, here are some guidelines to get you on your way. Greatness is possible! You can achieve the goals you set for yourself and you can make a difference in your own life and those who live and work around you! Set greatness as your goal! Here’s how:

Identify greatness for yourself. While there are some basic generalities that most people would consider great, there are broader definitions of greatness, ones that each individual sets for him or herself. For example, most people would consider Mother Theresa great while only some would consider Donald Trump great. Helping humanity is a broad generality while building a real estate fortune isn’t. So what you need to first do is ask, “What does greatness look like for this company, organization, family or for myself?” From there you can develop values and a mission statement etc. But if you don’t first identify it, you’ll never reach it.

Maximize targeted end results. As Covey says, “begin with the end in mind.” What end results do you want. Be specific. Come up with all of them. Maximize them. Leave no stone uncovered. Set out for yourself all of the goals or end results you must hit in order to reach greatness. Write them down, memorize them and distribute them broadly (if doing this for a group). Maximize your targeted end results!

Make distinction your endeavor. What is the endeavor of the great? Usually it is to distinguish themselves from the average. They seek to rise above the rest by the quality of their product or service. Everything goes toward the goal of making themselves distinct from the run of the mill. That is their mission. And in doing so, they make themselves great!

Map your effort thoroughly. The three most important words in real estate are “location, location, location.” In reaching a goal, the three most important words are “plan, plan, plan.” Okay, “execute” and “persevere” work too, but go with me here! Too many people wish they would achieve something but never write down a plan for getting there. When I want to go on a long trip I don’t just wish to get there. I plan on how to get there. I get a map, I figure out distances, times etc. Map out your goal thoroughly. This will help you achieve greatness.

Regularly take time for regeneration. Achieving greatness is hard! You will care more, work harder, and take more lumps and setbacks than the rest. So you will need to take time to regenerate so you can fight again another day. Your body needs rest. Your mind needs rest. Your emotions need rest. Your spirit needs rest. I firmly believe that a person who rests well can do more in less time than the one works without setting aside time for regeneration. You may be able to reach goals without rest, but somewhere along the line, you will fall harder and longer if you aren’t regularly regenerating yourself. So take your vacation time this year!

Have a strict evaluation process. Every plan and goal needs an evaluation tool. And it should be a strict evaluation process. This is how you objectively decide whether or not you are proceeding toward your goal. If you have the right evaluation tool and you look six months into it and you aren’t hitting the goals, perhaps you need to change the goal or the way you are going after it. The evaluation process is not to be underestimated in its importance!

Take somebody else with you. True greatness is not individual. The one who becomes great spreads the reward of greatness around. Incorporate many people into the plan and let them eat of the fruit of success. I live in an area that has literally thousands of millionaires created by a company that had a vision of greatness. And while yes, they experience the reward, the rewards then go out many levels through the whole community, from businesses that support our community to non-profit groups, churches, and schools. True greatness blesses those many levels away.

Learn to party! Party? Yes! What good is greatness if you can’t enjoy it? And not just the final destination but also the entire journey. Be sure to stop along the way and relish in your movement. Celebrate small and large victories. This keeps the sprit high and the big mo rolling! Spend the money, buy the food and blow up the balloons – it’s time to celebrate!

=========================================================

When you look into nature and see its vast objects, remember each tree, bush, flower, or any other plant started from a SEED, grew slowly, and then blossomed. You can too. I know you can, reach for it, its waiting on you.

Hope every one had a GREAT DAY. I wish you all the best as always.........NOW..........ROCK ON!

========================================================

Some extras, today, since I was gone this weekend for the post part.

ROCK ON! Everyone, everyday, day in and day out, week after week, month after month, we move forward...........ever moving forward, no retreat! No defeat!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the issues that makes our journey difficult is that we have.....Choices.

If you look back in history (and even learn things from bad history), one of the things we learn, is that when a person is faced with no choice, the body adapts and submits over time (and we can apply this for a lesson for diet and training).

Bottom line is they were FORCED to do what they had to do, and had no choice: The Complication of...Choice, was removed, and once this is removed or held in containment, the battle differs, by a great deal.

YOU know when your making a bad choice in reference to your goals even armed with knowledge of the goal, so knowledge IS NOT everything. Its the correct mental domination, making the correct sustained choices, and learning what motivates and inspires you to be consistant in those choices, and having a plan in place to deal with mental weaknesses couple with the knowledge of the goal you seek. We deal with the POWER OF CHOICE everyday.

WE can chose to apply our knowledge of our goals and eat accordingly and things would be fantasitic. But, we KNOW its not THIS EASY, now do we?! Knowledge of the goal you seek should be pursued, but IT WILL NOT BE ENOUGH.

You must learn WHO YOU ARE inconjunction with the goal you seek to be successful. Its my opinion, you sympathize yourself, you sympathize your goal---but if you have a structured plan taylored to KNOWING yourself, feeling sorry for yourself will not exist, because you have already put things in place to eliminate this complication from existing in the first place---Chillen

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its the MIND GAMES PEOPLE..............and how you handle THIS,,,,,,,,,can make the difference between success and failure

Wish all of you the best! Hope all was gained that you wanted to gain, today.

July 10th, 2007: Thought for the day-to be early evening today.

July 10th, 2007, coming in the early evening today.
=============================================
Good morning! I hope this day finds you in GOOD SPIRITS!

I hope this day finds you feeling well and a great attitude toward your diet and training goals you seek!

Remember a Statement I made in a thread a while back:

The Magic Pill:

There is a magic (fat burner) pill:

One walks in their...Magic Pillbox....everyday.

Its you and the body.

And, everytime you continue your diet and exercise, you take one pill out of the box toward your goal.

Yes, there is a magic pill. Its you. And, you walk within it everyday.

Chillen
==================================================
An opposite Thought:

A Poison Pillbox

One walks in this Pillbox......everyday.

Everytime you make an excuse to not exercise (when scheduled) or inappropriately cheat on the diet, you take one pill from this box against your goal

Yes, there is a poison PillBox, and you walk in this everyday you make an inappropriate choice when dealing with the natural human impulses of the body.

Answer: Be the Magic Pill.

You can be friend or foe to yourself and sometimes both. Think about it. The truest form of wisdom is learning to deal with yourself.
=======================================================================================

Look inward in yourself and expose the impulses that trigger your fruits and thus give yourself the olive branch to being successful--Chillen

Wish all of you the best in starting your day.

Never doubt yourself, push forward, adjust if necessary, but dont ever give up. There is no hope when one gives up, but theres always hope when one tries!

ROCK THE HELL ON PEOPLE!!!!!

Find what inspires you, search for it, seek it willingly and without prejudice, and it will not be elusive.

Everyone is not the same, find THE ONE or combinations that work for you
