Chillen, here's where I am:

I love my kids more than life itself. I especially love being with my daughter during the day and not having to rush out the door first thing. I have waited a long time to be able to do this. But with all of the (wonderful) opportunities that have presented themselves to me, I feel so torn. Granted these opportunities are coming from the equine industry, and THAT has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I so want to do the horse thing, but then I feel so bad and guilty about leaving my daughter with other people while I Should be with her myself. I know she needs to get out and be with kids her own age, but I just love being with her. She's such a joy and with the boys being in school it's nice to have that one-on-one time.

I am scheduled to go to one of the places tomorrow from 10-2 and although I'm looking forward to it, I'm still sad knowing my daughter won't be with me, or I her.

The trials of being a Mom...

I know this feeling well, being a father, and observing the feelings of a mother (my wife)

The quality time you do spend is a time investment in blocks that turn to cement, and these blocks will not break once its sets, and you should go and fulfil your dreams, to lead your daughter to hers. With the blocks of time you give her, the concrete will settle real good, and you have no worries.

I am scheduled to go to one of the places tomorrow from 10-2 and although I'm looking forward to it, I'm still sad knowing my daughter won't be with me, or I her.

By the way what is her age? I just believe that a mother or father who adequately and appropriately fulfil themselves become better parents. It is normal to have blocks of time with children---and purposely made blocks of time for their children. You are doing fine and your daugher will be strong and well spirited: Just talk with her about what you are doing and be open and honest (I dont know how old she is, but you could do this when she is older), and you two will build a bond that cannot be broken and an understanding of one another.

My daughter is 4 (almost). Because of what happened with my mom, I just so badly want my relationship with my dtr to flourish. Not to mention, I LOVE spending time with her!!!

I understand you, my wife feels the same way you do, and she manages the time in a day to fufill this need and balances her personal passion and reverts the passion back to her kids......You see you can take your passion for self installation (Horses), and lend a helping hand in having your daughter be excited for her (appropriate for her age) own passion and this builds blocks as time passes.

With your heart of want to flourish with your daughter, you will. But you have to have time for mommy too.

And everyone step back from: Thats the way I like it---KC and the Sunshine band.........Stay there..uh..uh.......back off now.......:)
