ROTFL!!!

I wrote that for your benefit. Its specifies that sometimes we have to go round by round and win on "points" and take our jabs and swings at our goals, and eventually it gets knocked the hell out........thats the moral of the story...........You have to remember the body really doesnt like to change----and will fight you........you have to be prepared and fight back harder than it fights back..........and WIN..........this keeps jackie from being too whackie!

ROCK it!

Best wishes,

Chillen

yeah i understand ya, but how do know not to go too far?? sometimes my body doesn't want to run - so i run about half the time i would when i can run in my average workout.

This is my view in synopsis form:

In this situation one has to engage the mind or connect the mind to the signs of the body: remember the body can lie and tell you the truth.

Is the body just being lazy? (a form of a lie in telling you it doesnt want to--it doesnt like to change) or is it responding in this manner because of improper rest or improper diet function?

The fault here is disengaging the mind and allowing a potential lie to occur without using the mind to base it on facts.

For example, if the diet is right, and you have proper rest (from training), AND you have calories correct with WORK factored in, though still in a deficit (adequately), THEN YOU KNOW the facts, and the body is resisting for many reasons.......you have to mentally be strong enough to step in and take over,,,,,,,,and knock this sucker out.

Take this thought: Isnt a deficit diet sort of forcing the body to FEED ON ITSELF FOR FOOD? Yes, it is.

Do you think you would SCREAM if you had to take a chunk out of your own arm?..(not to mention it would suck).......OF COURSE the body is gonna yell at you if your in a deficit diet. EDIT: (think the body being in a MAJOR SUCKAGE ENVIRONMENT)

So sometimes (not all the time but for sake of argument), the body ISNT gonna feel like running or training:

Its in a deficit diet (hell its eating itself, doesnt have the normal energy required, etc), therefore, the strongest point on the body HAS TO BE THE WILL OF THE MIND to take over.......and tell the body I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT........and yes you feel like it.

And you know what?...........when you knock this sucker down........the body gets back and thanks you.........NOW THATS SCREWED UP?.........LOL......:) (its called body adapting, on the serious side)

see what I am saying?

Read the weight loss Intracite I wrote on this sort of subject, Jackie.

My dear friend......

You have to allow the MIND to be brutal enough to tell the difference.

yo, chillen!

i must apolagize. i lost it yesterday and i just couldnt take it. but i feel much more composed and refreshed today =) thank God for rest

everything is going well. i am glad to be with all my friends at school; without them it would be terrible.
grades-ehhh im doing OK.
in pre calc im doing bad though...i do try my best
im not sure on most of my grades, but i am hoping i am doing well; because i am trying.
thanks for asking!

i think the best feeling everyday is waking up early every morning, with my back feeling stronger every day; and i continue to enjy a good breakfast, as(i wake up in advance for this) i read my Bible in my room.
it is my "alone time"; though it is ironic that i am not spiritually alone, and i very much enjoy it.
it truly is uplifting to feel gradual, daily rejuvination in my trap after all this time. i daydream of front squat, chinups and dips!

awesome posts by the way. i liked the attachments you included. i liked the coin flip one. very true. thanks for the helping hand man...its awesome to know someone has my back!

oh, and do you have a myspace? ...it feels wierd asking an adult this question lol yet i know a lot of them who do have one

I added a few other things to the post (its highlighted)

You push yourself based on FACTS and knowing the difference between an outward or inward feeling coming from the body as truth or lie. In a deficit diet, many of the feed back you get is from the body being forced to do things it doesnt like to do, and you MUST acknowledge this to be successful.
And, yes, the MIND is the deciding factor OF ALL---even if its a bodily truth (for example an injury).

The key thing is "Progression" if you ran 1 mile the day before, go a tad farther the next time or up your intensity and go the same distance. You dont have to push real hard to get progression in most cases (this ISNT always true, but true it is basic sense). Set GOALS of progression, jackie EACH DAY. Not too big.......just a tad and reachable ones you can do.

I always PREACH on listening to the body........This gets grossly misunderstood and engaging the mind as the MASTER on deciding what to do based on FACTS........ROCK ON!

Jackie:

The body will spank and thank you at the same time:

You get SPANKED when the body is saying, "dang I dont want to do this, I dont feel like doing this" etc, and then it THANKS you when you done.....

That is messed up.....(but its true) :)

Cool..........I was on you like a blanket.....sorry..........I mean well.

Overzealous chillen again.

I will look at your PM's now.

You do well my friend...............I do believe in YOU!

this is a truism and applies to so much more than just appetite and nutrition.

you are an ol sage!

ok thanks both of u, ive never realised this before.

i need to get my body to do things it doesnt want to, in order for it to change for the better and stronger - get it out of its comfort zone, and into the zone of greatness

Thanks you guys xx

I will post some healthy desert recipes (lol, Im a dude, ya know, cant spell the word right) in the log. Jackie

I know I sound like and OLD broken record, but its true: The body feeds on its self (canabolism) for food when deficit dieting (thus tissue loss), so EXPECT negative feedback and then EXPECT yourself to DEAL with it right KNOWING where its coming from.........IS IMPORTANT!

My friend, jackie........Have a good night......I know the time is different there.........ROCK ON, GIRL!

I dont have myspace.....LOL, I think.......:)

I so glad you found your Niche' and awakening, young man........KEEP STRONG, and will be stronger and wiser for going through this stage in life.

:)

thanks chillen. hey what kind of music do you listen to?
recommend some for a workout? :]

Oh my......LOL.........

Think about this Jon: a 16 year old is asking a father of two who is 46 what kind of music he listens to. LOL..........on the surface this is sort of funny....

right?

WRONG...........Because IM COOL......like that. :)

I listen to some RAP, heavy metal rock, classic rock, Easy listening rock, Gospel rock, some early to mid 80's country (very selective--but I dont like country overall).........I basically JAM IT OUT.......make kids laugh all the time because some of it is theirs and some a mix of (todays, 90's, 80's, and 70's)

Just a sec I get more specfic in bands.......I am answering a post that I think is important............Just a few minutes.........Okay?

trance, hypnotic, dance, house beats, and anything that comes out of club Euro 99.

the fewer lyrics the better.

Pulse radio!

Go with "the Grid", "Infected Mushroom" is good too,,, i can keep you awake for 3 days with music.

and we won't use any CCR at all.

An after thought: (Jackie)

I rememeber when I hurt my thigh (a truth situation), and I had to back of Squats, for a couple of weeks.

When I went back and restarted FULL squats, I got sore the next day.

And, I remember thinking:

My thighs asking: "Where the hell ya been?" I responded: RIGHT HERE BITCH!"

And body saying: "Man, I am fricken sore"

I said: Yea...........and? Want some more?.........

Mind games, LOL
