Decisions

==========================================================

Jim Rohn
It doesn't matter which side of the fence you get off on sometimes. What matters most is getting off. You cannot make progress without making decisions.

==========================================================

Kahlil Gibran
We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.

==========================================================
Sigmund Freud

When making a decision of minor importance, I have always found it advantageous to consider all the pros and cons. In vital matters, however, such as the choice of a mate or a profession, the decision should come from the unconscious, from somewhere within ourselves. In the important decisions of personal life, we should be governed, I think, by the deep inner needs of our nature.

==========================================================

Aneurin Bevan

We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over.

==========================================================

William James

When you have to make a choice and you don't make it, that itself is a choice.

==========================================================

Pythagoras

Choose always the way that seems the best, however rough it may be. Custom will soon render it easy and agreeable

==========================================================

Napoleon Bonaparte

Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to decide.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mike Krzyzewski

The truth is that many people set rules to keep from making decisions.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Theodore Roosevelt

In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing to do. The worst thing you can do is nothing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Submitted by Vickie J. Crabtree

If you decide not to decide, you have already decided.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

L. G. Elliott

Vacillating people seldom succeed. Successful men and women are very careful in reaching their decisions, and very persistent and determined in action thereafter.

==========================================================

Franklin D. Roosevelt

One thing is sure. We have to do something. We have to do the best we know how at the moment...;If it doesn't turn out right, we can modify it as we go along.

==========================================================

Elbert Hubbard

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.

==========================================================

More than anything else, I believe it's our decisions, not the conditions of our lives, that determine our destiny.

==========================================================

Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.
Eyemadreamer Keri Russell

==========================================================

“Make decisions from the heart and use your head to make it work out.”
Sir Girad

==========================================================

““A rule of thumb for a warrior is that he makes his decisions so carefully that nothing that may happen as a result of them can surprise him, much less drain his power.””
Carlos Castaneda

“The truth is that many people set rules to keep from making decisions.”
Mike Krzyzewski

==========================================================
Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.

awesome.

As of three years ago I adopted a somewhat existential philosophy on life, believing that your life is dictated by the decisions you make. In every choice you are deciding who you are. One of the great philosophers of existentialism is albert camus. Chillen if you've heard of him great if not, check out these quotes . There are other existential philosophers out there, but they are much more morbid and i tend to disagree with what they say.

Your welcome, AMP. was just thinking about you. I care whether you progress, I really do.......ROCK ON, my dear friend. :)

Thank you for the link.

AMP!!!!!!!!!!

Wise beyond your years! One wise young man to think in the power of one's decisions..........yes they can drive us right, and direct us into much despair.

ROCK ON! Young man!

September 14th, Thoughts for the Day! (short one)

Wake UP!

Brotha and Sista's

When you are failing and think you have tried everything, you are wrong. It is nearly impossible to have tried everything.

When you feel down and feel like giving up when trying something that has failed; there are so many options to drive one that is virtually impossible to say one has tried everything: you havent tried everything yet!---the one that works.

So rise above this personal challenge and find the RIGHT ONE DANG IT!

YOU guide this ship to harbor or sink before getting there.

You are SIMPLY THE BEST!

Im posting this to make a point:
At least I am not to chicken to stand up for America like most americans now days so if that means ugly American then I wear the name with pride.

That is okay Karky, I just found out that there is a norwegian kid going to school here. When I see him I'm gonna plant a big wet one on him. I'll mention your name when he asks why.

Why dont you start with me. "Im your huckleberry".

As I said before, Karky is my friend, and I am not about to debate your narrow mindedness; this has already been settled satisfactorily through yourself.

However, what I will say, is that you will not ruin the "goodwill" atmosphere of this forum, and the integrity of this thread with your inept narrow mindedness; you need "washed" with a common sense and then "dried" with mental static cling, and then "folded" with intelligence.

Mreik has already modded two of your posts, and this action by the respected moderator apparently hasnt sunk into your brain adequately.

:) Mreik, please lower the boom on these posts, and mod Mike's intelligence. :)

(note: I apologize in advance, Mreik, but I cant let a good member (Karky) be treated this way, for what its worth)
============================================================================================

What I have in bold, is what I want you to pay attention to. Though I meant this "differently" when I posted this to someone who was attacking my friend, Karky, we can flip this in a good way.

May you never look at "Washing", "Drying", and "Folding", the same again:

Wash yourselves in "common sense" in all attempts in your journey, and then dry yourselves with "Mental Static Cling" to unstick the brain cells to allow a over flow of WILL to overcome obstacles, and then "fold" yourselves in "Intelligence" to stay in the journey!

ROCK ON! NEVER, EVER, GIVE UP!......Dont under estimate your beating heart inside you!

hey dr chill...whats up? awesome posts; i took my daily dose of CHILL PILLS

everything here has been amazing...iv finally established myself spiritually in the Lord and in my newly found youth group.

and im finally over the greatest "wall/barrier" in my life
...now all i have to do is climb down and not fall!

"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good."

"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals"

Henry Ford

i really like this one:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves 'who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Fantastic to hear Jon. Im glad you found strength from within the youth group! Keep reflecting on the experience and learn as much as you can and keep putting the pieces together, young man!

What is the lesson with the injury, mind to share this with me? I would like to read this.

No, my eyes are brown (and my wife would say there brown for reasons I cant specifiy in this log.....Im full of.....ya know, lol). The pic just make my eyes look green.......GOT MY EYE ON YOU!

i was in church listening to the last sunday sermon.
when he mentioned God is a jelous God and he needs to be first in our life...it hit me.

before this injury, the only thing i really cared about was fitness/lifting and pleasing myself...i was backsliding from Jesus...i didnt go to church anymore...i didnt pray anymore...i was definetly NOT fearing the Lord and i was sinning way too much...i had several terrible..habits and i was getting involved in the wrong people and wrong stuff.

through this injury; among the many things i have learned is that Jesus comes first..and i fear the Lord, for i believe it was His own will that i be injured...because he loves me enough to want me to get my life straight.
And that is truly what this injury has done.
it truly is a gift he laid upon me...and now that he is having mercy on me and it is almost over, i am so much happier and spiritually strong.

even as i type this, i am realizing more and more that the injury truly has set my life straight. . .
i started reading the Bible to get closer to God and to learn how to govern and control my life
...i gave up several immoral addictions
...i have become a renewed son of God with a new respect for his word
..i have been blessed with personal traits that i have never felt before(faith...compassion...awe...true gratefullness...understanding...and fluency in his Gospel)

though all the pain i have gone through, i MUST thank the Lord for setting my life straight; it was the very thing i NEEDED to get everything on track. it was a very very very small punishment for what i truly deserved...
Behold the mercy of the Lord!

"Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and disipline."
proverbs 1:7

Very personally touching to me too PB. By the way, within your own post, you wrote the answer (in an underlining tone and in some spots "specifics") to the answer I was trying to get you to write a while back. You wrote the answer without even knowing, and you have this ability I was trying to get through to you, and it came naturally within your heart........+rep

I have learned much from you young man. You have the ability to set yourself aside and reflect and correct, and with devine assistance, this has made you stronger and wiser, and for this you have many rewards coming your way. Im proud of you..........Stay strong my friend.

You are only 16. If we had more young men like you in this world, the world would be a better place.......ROCK ON, my friend.
