You cannot be Conquered!

To be human is to be vulnerable - this I must accept. My invincibility lies in my ability to not let the emotional and physical setbacks in life conquer me. I may be vulnerable to the experiences, but I'm invincible in my resolve. I'm unconquerable.

Get up again!

Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble.

Desire for an idea is like bait. When you're fishing, you have to have patience. You bait your hook, and then you wait. The desire is the bait that pulls those fish in--those ideas.

==========================================================
Ideas are like fish.

If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got to go deeper.

Down deep, the fish are more powerful and more pure. They're huge and abstract. And they're very beautiful.

Your ideas about right and wrong are just that—ideas. They are the thoughts which form the shape and create the substance of Who You Are. There would be only one reason to change any of these; only one purpose in making an alteration: if you are not happy with Who You Are.

10 things we can do to contribute to internal, interpersonal, and organizational peace

(1) Spend some time each day quietly reflecting on how we would like to relate to ourselves and others.

(2) Remember that all human beings have the same needs.

(3) Check our intention to see if we are as interested in others getting their needs met as our own.

(4) When asking someone to do something, check first to see if we are making a request or a demand.

(5) Instead of saying what we DON'T want someone to do, say what we DO want the person to do.

(6) Instead of saying what we want someone to BE, say what action we'd like the person to take that we hope will help the person be that way.

(7) Before agreeing or disagreeing with anyone's opinions, try to tune in to what the person is feeling and needing.

(8) Instead of saying "No," say what need of ours prevents us from saying "Yes."

(9) If we are feeling upset, think about what need of ours is not being met, and what we could do to meet it, instead of thinking about what's wrong with others or ourselves.

(10) Instead of praising someone who did something we like, express our gratitude by telling the person what need of ours that action met.

The Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) would like there to be a critical mass of people using Nonviolent Communication language so all people will get their needs met and resolve their conflicts peacefully.

His father came along just then.

Noting the boy's failure, he asked, "Are you using all your strength?"

"Yes, I am," the little boy said impatiently.

"No, you are not," the father answered.

"I am right here just waiting, and you haven't asked me to help you."

Your most welcome my friend. Have I done any good with your request you made earlier? Let me know, and I can refine it, change it, or what ever.

GOTS to keep Jackie most happy to keep her on track.........this is one of my beliefs and one of the reasons I believe this forum exists.

When you have time (as the post is lengthy), read the post I made in the motivation thread. I dont know, may or may not be something in there to strike a sparc of understanding.........just a thought for my friend.

I will be posting some updated and current pics of myself soon to the ChillOut Log, since I gained a few (about 4 lbs), and still mean and fricken lean. Little dudes ROCK! :) My goal has always been to be small, musclular, but ab defined. I am more in a maintaining mode at the present. My goals have been reached. So, I have to aspire new ones. Of which I am in search of..............

My legs are strong (300+ squat max), but sure in the hell dont look it, LOL. I think this is one area I am gonna focus on the next few weeks: Tweak the training approach, intensity level, and rest periods, and see what I can come up with.

EVERYONE ROCK THE HECK ON!
