HI GUYS!!! Congrats on your 1st full week of this competition!!!...Tommorrow is the 1st day of the 2nd week....Its our 1st weigh in day AND its the start of mini challenges!!!

This week (starting tomorrow) our mini challenge will be to drink half your weight in ounces of water. So if you weigh 200lbs, you'll drink 100 oz. of water! One point for every day you stuck with this challenge!!!

I love the first challenge. I'm going to be swimming in water this week... which really wouldn't be too out of the ordinary if you filled a pool with it, but no no no, it will be coming out my ears I will drink so much of it. :D

I thought I wasn't going to have any opportunities to exercise today while at my grandmother's, but I actually ended up being able to sneak off for a hike! I was out there for an hour (well, 81 minutes, but I subtracted some breaks that I took), so my final total for exercise for the week is 11 hours. Here's hoping I am as successful in my weigh-in tomorrow, but my body is anti-weight-loss no matter what I do. :(

Disappointed with my lack of weightloss but my diet has NOT been perfect and dispite my exercising more than usual this week, I know I have to get my eating in order if I want to lose weight. Bring on week 2..........good luck everyone!!!

oh wow, well done, super results for week one for you!

My lack of weightloss this first week has been a major motivation for me, so went for a 60 min run today and had 3 healthy meals, no snacks and got the extra point for water in the mini challenge!!Excited to start week two....here we go team!!!

I'm so happy for you. I think that is the best thing about this 6 week challenge. It's actually really motivating, knowing that a team relies on you to do well. :)

I really feel your pain about the lack of weight loss. There are still 5 weeks to go so better luck next week! And 5 hours of exercise is nothing to be ashamed of, either. :)

I just don't get my body. ELEVEN HOURS, body. ELEVEN. That does not equate with 0.2 lb weight loss. I'm sorry guys. I really have been trying. :( (And it's not like I'm pigging out or something... Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I even ate a couple hundred calories less than I usually do.)

This will be your week I just feel it:driving: Congrats on the running I hope to be able to start running soon myself. My knees already feel better from the weight I've lost. As for water I have a water bottle thats a half gallon and I drink 2 of those a day already. So I'm actually over my mini challenge water amount...easy points for me.


I hope the rest of the team checks in it has been pretty quiet today!!!

As women how our bodies work sometimes is just cruel:banghead: I'm sure your probably gaining some good muscles with all your working out.:boxing: I had issues losing at first as well having PCOS probably doesn't help me either. I actually had to switch to lower carbs before I would even start losing anything. Heres to next week!!!!!:beerchug:
 
Hey!

Sorry I didn't check in much this weekend, I was staying over the boyfriends place. Didn't do any exercise on Sat... well I don't think you can count that as an exercise but we went for an hours walk with the dog on Sunday!
I forgot to weigh myself this morning so I'll edit this tomorrow morning. But judging by my tummy sticking out a bit I'm crossing my fingers that I maintained my loss this week. My cheat dinner of Indian food on Sat night probably didn't help... but it keeps me sane!

I just converted the ounces I have to drink to litres... 2.6 litres of water a day. I can do that. Just have to always keep a bottle with me.

I'm going to be peeing all day though lol.

Oh, guess what! I got a new set of electric scales and they measure your body fat percentage, muscle percentage, bone weight, and water percentage as well as normal weight. Waaa so cool!
 
Hey guys!!! WTG with checking in! Glad to see this weeks progress!!! I know for me, this upcomming week will rock! I havn't said much about it....and I guess now that i"m over it, I can talk about it....but last week, wow, it was a rough one for me. I had some serious deppression issues. Somehow though, over the weekend, I can feel that I "snapped out of it" and I'm feeling better now than I have in a long time!

I'm gonna have to drink about 125 oz a day....KNYT..how did you convert that number??

I'm really excited about this week!! Lets rock it!

I used good old fashioned google :D And now the last week is behind you and you're feeling better(?) you can explode into bubbles of exercising and weight loss happiness!

I agree, let's kill it this week :reddevil:
 
Yes, last week is behind me and I am ready to live like I havn't lived before! lol I didnt' mention it last week...i just don't like all the sympathy or whatever that people give you. I'm just glad Im back to being positive again.

I have an exercise bike now and I"m gonna use it off and on all day while watching TV..I'm going to take my dog for walks...and of course, drink all that water! lol!

I made some fruit parfaits tonight and let me tell you, it was better than any snickers bar I've ever had!

I'm sorry it was a bad week. :( But I'm glad you're moving past it now and feeling good. Keep it up. :) We're going to have an even better week this time around than last week with points. :D
 
KNYT....no pics of the dessert and its so easy to make you don't need a recipe per say...you can always change it to fit your taste. I put strawberries on the bottom of a cut, then a layer of yoplait thick n creamy Very Vanilla....THEN a layer of crushed pineapple and slices of banana....then another layer of yogurt then topped it off with crushed walnuts....it was to die for!

Thanks JN!! I've got my liter water bottle right beside me!! Ready to do this!
 
Well I'm not exercising today I have so much paperwork to get done. On the upside I do have the rest of the week off from work so I'm planning on exercising like a mad woman. As for water I have my bottle full as we speak. Oh and just got my e-cigarette in the mail today so perfect timing for my vacation. Hopfully I will soon be smoking my last real cigarette and just puffing on water vapor.....:sifone:Funny the pack came with a card that you can show a cop if you get pulled over that explains what it is....guess people have been stopped because it looks like their smoking something else lol.

Janananner - 11 hours last week is a super achievement,well done, I know sometimes the body is hard to figure out, but I think we have to look at the longterm goal and not just week to week figures.

Korrie - hope this week is going better for you, an exercise bike at home is a great idea, I'm hoping maybe to save up and eventually get a threadmill for the house, although I could be a while saving!!

Got in my 1 hour of cardio yesterday and going for a run tonight, talk soon everyone, keep up the great work!
 
Korrie, I went shopping yesterday and I found myself picking up some fruit and I have some light canned whipped cream :D Muahahaaaa!

Anyone else find it hard to get motivated to exercise in winter when it's cold dark and miserable?

Hmmm running... I want to start running too! Well at the moment I can probably only run/jog for a minute or two max... But I'm thinking if I do it daily and try to increase it by 10-15 seconds each time (or more when my endurance gets better)... that would be increasing by 1-2 minutes a week etc... Okay I'm rambling at this point, but you get the idea :)

Anyway, I know that if we keep supporting each other we will get through this with flying colours!

Hows the mini challenge going?? Drinking that water??? While i have been drinking SO much more water than normal, I'm finding it almost impossible to get in that full 3.5 liters! yuck! lol You guys having luck with it?

Does anyone have any suggestions for next weeks mini challenge?
 
Korrie! I'm JUST able to drink the 2.6L and that's only because I take a bottle everywhere with me and remind myself all the time to take a sip. I find it easier to constantly sip that try to gulp a huge amount down at a time.

Hmm.. challenge ideas. Maybe an exercise challenge? Like... you have to do 10 mins of squats daily? With weights? Like bb or db or even cans of fruit. Anything to provide some weight.
