Weight-Loss Team 2 Chat Thread

Weight-Loss
at work, tired, starving, PLEASE post your tips on how curb the urge to eat (when you know its not a true hunger need to eat)

I am sure I am not the only one that could use this!!!

ps is there a week 4 challenge???

I don't curb it... That is to say that if I want something, I'll get something. What I do though is I make sure I have readily available things that will not affect the outcome of my daily intake. I have been known to keep a bag of apples on my desk. If I want something... there you go. The same works for most produce. It will usually keep on a desk for a bit.

The other thing I do is go for a walk to a different place, maybe find a projectthat I can work on or get supplies from elsewhere. Thats a trick I got from quitting the cigarettes. A change of scenery even for a minute or two sometimes helps.

I got a PM about points not being accurate, so we'll figure out who won Week 3 later today. Sorry for the delay..

No problem. We need to make it accurate.

Week 4 is now up in the spreadsheet and ready for you to enter in your stats for the week. I wanted to point out that I added column "G" in the spreadsheet that has our cumulative weight loss results for week1-3. Some people are really losing some weight and I was excited to see this! The challenge is clearly working. You all are doing fantastic!!

Good news, I did not see any formula errors in the points so the point tally for week 3 should be final. Claudia can make the final decisions on winners and eliminations. Stay tuned...

Some of you did not enter in your ending weights for Week 3 so I put your weight from the previous week. This calculates a zero loss. Please enter the correct weight when time permits and remove the green highlight so we know you got your weight in.

Did we have a bonus challenge for this week? Sorry...I have not been able to locate it yet in the threads (been swamped at work). I'll add that into the spreadsheet when I figure out what it is.

Have a great 4th week!!

OMG...TEAM 2 ...I was just looking at all the numbers...and I AM SOOOO IMPRESSED as to how many of you are Working soooo hard, and having great results! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!! :grouphug:!!!

thanks Alta!

Hey team did you know two of our members have lost over 10POUNDS so far, holy toledo way to go!!!!! Good job to everyone else too as of course we are all at different points adn working hard!

Ok so this morning I started to cave as I was tired and HUNGRY, I ate all my 'normal' food and then I was still hungry. Let's just say by 11am I had 1100 calories and I am at a max of 1600. Guess what I stayed in under calories!!! I decided to go 'hard core' adn teach myself a lesson so I ate light all day including a STALK of celery LOL but I made it, ready to go to bed now and didnt over indulge. Trying very hard to learn to balance out mishaps.

i'm sorry i'm a bit MIA for the end of the week. beside my regular job i am substituting dean's secretary this week because she's sick. but i am doing good both calorie wise and exercise wise. will try and submit my numbers but if i don't i will definitely during the weekend :)
great job on the loss everyone :D lets keep it up.

Hey Team, it looks like your team came in behind and I believe Quarters had the lowest cumulative score and is eliminated. Does that sound right? The sheet is now unavailable (sending me to google sign in screen) so I couldn't verify.

DOING AWESOME TEAM SWEET CHEEKS!

Unfortunately, it would appear to be the case...

This is of course, too bad to lose one of our team here. Kate will be missed as a member :(

However, Team Sweet cheeks needs to refocus, regroup and kick it hard this week!!! Lets step it up folks!! I know you all can do this!!!

I agree... awfully quiet in here team....

We all got a weekend coming up, I don't know if you are all like me, but the weekends are my weak point... I could sure use a pep talk going into it!

Lets light the fire!!!

ok well I am having a major setback (not my own doing) too many gorry details for here but I will continue to work hard.

Seriously we can still kick some butt we have had some major big losses on the members who seem to be chatting so CHAT IT UP!!!

My week has been ok for food and exercise but has been lacking intensity due to TOM and a couple of other issues but we all neek to kick things into gear if we are going to kick some ass. :D

Karl, you hit the nail on the head. We should rename it to the "weakend". This weakend is especially tough with the Super Bowl. Even for non sports fans, like myself, you gotta watch the game and it has to be at a party. Unhealthy snacks are always prominent at those things. On the one hand I'm so looking forward to it. On the other hand it might just be better to avoid the whole thing all together.

Just thought I'd also point out, Team one has 832 responses, and Team two has 455. Teamwork does help; especially with the lesser performing members. Look at the spread sheet and see who is falling behind and try to help motivate that person. It's not the stronger team members that will make the difference, but the motivating the weaker members to become stronger. :smash:

alright guys.....i know i've been quiet too but everyone's right....we need more support in here!!!!!

I have been somewhat bad bout the exercise--only done about 1.5 hours so far (will throw it int he table soon, I have it written down somewhere!). BUT I am awake and on my way down to my gym RIGHT after this post! Hopefully I can find some time to squeeze more exercise in later today as well! I am actually having surg on my left hip the last day of the this challenge. Beacuse of that I've been running around taking care of stuff and just busy overall with that, not to mention the anxiety I've been feeling! But b/c of that, it's all the more impt for me to keep working out and get as healthy as possible b/f they put me under! So I'll def. keep working at it; my goal is to do at least five hours this week.

How is everyone doing with their food goals? Any plans to avoid the super bowl treats? I am a bit worried about it!

Hey peeps~ Sorry, I've been quiet too...

mom2 - I'm sorry you're having troubles... if you want to share, or if not, I bet everyone will be very supportive.

tru - me toooooo!! Maybe team sweet cheeks is really super-connected and gets it at the same time, haha.

keepitoff - hip surgery? Ahhhh! Good luck to you, I hope everything goes well. And make sure you do your physio if you have to do any. It really helps!

I myself have recovered from my weekend of debauchery (169 to 173 back to 168), but I'm having troubles at the gym. I'm getting BORED. I only know how to do the elliptical, bike and treadmill, and a handful of machines. I do pilates and yoga once in awhile, but that's it. Maybe a trainer would be useful in showing freeweights, exercise balls and abs and stuff like that? I will need to save up some moneys. Or just look it up online I guess.

ALSO - does anyone notice their more jiggly? I guess at my fattest I was at maximum density, now I'm not dense at all. It's very unfortunate.

YES!! AND it kind of grosses me out. I've always just done the elliptical and stationary bike. Sometimes I'd walk quickly on the treadmill. I started doing HIIT so I'd run/spring on the treadmill. UH GROSS!! I could feel my back fat moving all over the place. Can't wait to not jiggle anymore. Sometimes I'll look down at my legs when I'm running - equally disturbing. :smash:
