how?? recipe please
lol... Well, it was "ok". You can definately tell it's fat free.
But, I didn't make it the right way. Things did NOT go smoothly.
Here's the recipe:
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg whites or 2 eggs
1 c. water
1/2 c. light or dark Karo syrup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9" baking pan with cooking spray. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Add egg whites or eggs, water and Karo syrup. Mix until smooth. Pour into pan, bake 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes (or more).
I used this frosting:
Fat-free cream cheese frosting
1 cup nonfat cream cheese -- softened
1 cup ricotta cheese, part skim milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Blend all together. Although I recommend maybe finding a different one, I didn't really like the texture. I'm anal about texture.
