Claud, are we just getting on bonus point for 5 hrs of exercise or are we getting an additional 5 for each hour? It is just one extra hour we count right ?

Ive had the same thing on one damn tooth and it goe reinfected 3 times (within 2 months) and had to be reopened three times and each thime the infections got worse and worse, I totally feel ya babe:hug2:

OMG :eek2:....sorry to hear that! ....I'm sad that someone knows how I feel....it doesn't hurt which is a PLUS though, and my cheek is back to normal today! Thanks hun!! You are a sweetie! :grouphug:!
 
Alta, hope your tooth gets better soon -- so sorry to hear you're going through that.

Everyone else sounds like they're doing great and that is good to hear. I've had a busy day but got in one hour on the elliptical already. I did 30 mins first thing in the morning and the other 30 mins after I got home from a birthday party. I've already walked about 2 miles but I'm not counting that into my exercise minutes because I normally do that anyway and I'm still chubby :). I'm not sure I'll get in the bonus hour though..a shame but ya can't get booted out if you get all your normal challenge points.

I've been keeping the calories low to make up for the other night at the french restaurant. I am going to estimate I ate around 1600-1700 calories at that meal but who knows since I wasn't stuffed, just full, because the portions were ever so tiny. Sheesh those places are ridiculous with the portion sizes! So I must keep the calories at 1400 per day for through Monday to meet my goal.

Relly, the bonus gets you a total of 5 points if you get at least one additional hour of exercise. This week Team Sweet Cheeks is choosing the bonus, which will get another 5 points. Wonder what they'll come up with..

Claudia--that sucks so bad that you've been dieting so well and exercising and haven't lost any weight!!! WTF????

Everyone, do well my friends! :grouphug: I'm on a roll! with this dieting thing--I'm grouchy and feel pissed off a a lot, but heh heh whatever, I want to get to my goal!!!!

Ka, Im glad actually tha tit is only an additional 5 points and not 5 points every hour you go over cuz Tru is on the other team, LOL!However it looks liek we would have faired well also...

So today, I walk/ran on the treadmill for 30 mins, I did a 1k run before bootcamp and then 60 mins of boot camp and 30 mins of yoga:)Im proud of myself and my exercise for this week...I did 540mins...

Boot camp kicked my ass!It has been way to looong!

 
So exciting news guys. Wednesdays were going to be a day it was gonna be difficult for me to work out with school, soooooo I'm decided to kick my butt that day and instead of going to my gym during my little break, I'm going to be taking two classes from the uni gym, one even before classes (urgh I can't BELIEVE I'm getting up early) sooooo I am going to be taking pilates in the morning (never done pilates before) and a zumba class which is a latin workout dance (never done zumba before either!) at noon. It's going to kick my BUTT.

I'm going to talk to the people at the gym and sign up for them tomorrow. I'm scared to death they're going to be filled with girls with great bodies.
 
Britta, only thing I've ever thought when I see a large person at the gym is YOU GO GIRL! This was of course also the case when I was nice and slim and toned too hehe. So dont worry or feel self-conscious, get out there and have some fun!

Not necessarily :). Let's add up the points later when everyone's had time to check in. What happened to ya :)?? It seems like hanging around this awesome thread a lot is key to this challenge for one thing, but life does get in the way too sometimes..
 
Okay for the challenge this week... Are we all drinking enough water? I know I don't always pay as much attention to it as I should, particularly where i don't track it against my daily calories. I exercise quite a bit though and I lose a lot from perspiration. This suggestion was originally made by Priti.
So...

Lets all try to drink enough water, every day.

Take this quiz to find your target amount:


Please pay special attention to the last page. In this it assumes that you are eating healthy (we are right?), and water in our food accounts for 20 %.

In my case this comes out to 158 oz minus 20% = 1 gallon (assuming 30 minutes of exercise per day). The last page will give both the total and the corrected water per day.

lets not get too carried away though. Find an amount for your average exercise level and stick to it every day, all week.

Well I weighed in this morning... pretty dissappointed to have only a 0.40 loss. I knew these last few pounds were going to be difficult but I feel like I have at least a good 15lbs or more that needs to GO...

I could be refining things again, but I might stick with the same deficit and up the exercise... however I did start my half marathon training yesterday so maybe patience is key????
 
Well I weighed in this morning... pretty dissappointed to have only a 0.40 loss. I knew these last few pounds were going to be difficult but I feel like I have at least a good 15lbs or more that needs to GO...

I could be refining things again, but I might stick with the same deficit and up the exercise... however I did start my half marathon training yesterday so maybe patience is key????

At least it is still a loss, better than nothing and certaintly better than a gain!Every little bit counts and gets you towards goal:)
