Dee: Damn, dude, you are a MACHINE! :eek2: Do you weight everyday or once a week? I was wondering if you've already lost a few pounds!!

Cerella: I know the feeling but don't worry--don't wear yourself out! But remember something I usually forget--even 20 minutes of exercise is better than ZERO minutes. Sometimes I feel like "Oh I can't get in 40 min to an hour, I'm just not gonna even try" but that all or nothing attitude is no good. Not saying you have that, just telling you my own pitfall. But by all means, listen to your body like you think!!

Update: 1810 calories yesterday!!! :hurray: That is literally AMAZING for this hungry bunny, and pretty much like Mal has mentioned, I don't DO diet food--you know, reduced cal, low fat (except cottage cheese but that's the kind I get even if I'm not dieting), sugarfree--I eat regular foods and try to keep the portions down, so it makes for a difficult time unless I eat naturally high bulk, low cal foods like veggies. Anyway, I finally put a battery in my scale and LO AND BEHOLD, EVEN ON DAY 2 OF MY PERIOD I GOT 144.0 LBS!!! If I keep my cals in my range, I'm certain I'll kick 4 pounds by the end of the challenge....
 
hey girls and trops :)

just a quick check in! still totally focused and on track with the execise and eating plan :) all the stuff that i have planned for this weekend involves no alcohol (usually my biggest weakness) so i should be okay!

everyone looks like they are doing well so will kick ass again this week!!!!

I know Val, I will get in what I can when I can but sometimes the timing isnt always there:)Im determind to get at least 5 hrs in this week.
 
Hey Team :). Just to update, I had 1750 calories yesterday and I started my first hour of exercise this challenge week today. I went to the gym and did the stair stepper for 30 mins and weights for 30 mins. I've been great with the calories so far today but I do have that client dinner tonight at some french restaurant where I'm sure the wine will be tasty and the meal will be soaked in butter. I'll be sure to get berries (with creme though) for desert and a salad for my appetizer. I'll try to eat only half my entre and maybe take the rest home for H if its good. I will HAVE to have at least one yummy french roll w/ butter. That's the best part of the meal! But I will really have to make up for this the next few days. I'm screwed again! LOL I am really doubting I can pull off coming in under this week's total calories (11,900) but I will give it my best try..

Ha if I really were a machine I would be at my goal weight by now!!!

I have a bad habit of weighing myself everyday when I get up... just to keep me in check I guess. Yesterday I was down to 137.5 today back up to 138. something... so I would say I have maybe lost a pound or 2 at most. I think my body is NOT as willing to give up the weight. I think my road to 128 is going to be a tough one. But If I can get to 135 I will be Happy!!!!!

That's awesome Val!!! I also don't do diet foods, just smaller portions... some days I am hungry and some days I'm not.

I think you are ahead of the game Claud. Having a plan before you go out to eat is great and knowing where your limit is. Remember that you are buring cals too and even if you eat a little more you will still be in the deficit!!! And that's what we WANT!!!

You can do it lady!!! I have faith! :)

Oooooh ....those damn rolls with butter.....why do they put them in the middle of the table...?!!? :confused:....the waiter should just come and ask where on your body you want the rolls to be added to, and DO IT.......hips, thighs, ass, chin...!?!? Where would you like me to strap a roll or two or three or four onto Ms ;), one are you sure just one :D:.....you know what MORE rolls than the ones you have there right :eek:!!!??!!!......

rolls on the table = fat rolls on the body :reddevil:

Phah! Not with that attitude you won't! ;) I tease :) You can manage! Ah, the French. Who the fuck knows how they aren't fatasses with that food of theirs? Chris says it's all the red wine they drink and I'm like, "Nah! Bullshit.....really?" the I see stuff like this but I have my doubts...still, it IS true, per capita, in liters, the French drink WAY more red wine than the U.S.--top 3

Today I ran 47 minutes on the beach (my work is a 4 min run from a large, sandy state-owned beach). I've only eaten 1205 calories so far. I'm a bit lightheaded and hungry. I'm going to get a Kombucha and an apple to tide me over until dinner--OR I can just eat dinner now and have a fuller tummy for Yoga :ack2: That's not really appealing to me! I'll be fine :D

Just got home from the gymmm!

35 minutes bikes
25 minutes weights
25 (upped it by four minutes, i was feeling ambitious, and hope I don't regret it later but it felt good today) minutes on the arctrainer! Yay
 
YO!

Had a 793 cal deficit yesterday... I made chicken tortilla soup for dinner and its hard to not have a second helping because its sooo damn good. But its pretty healthy... just garlic, onion, chicken stock, shreaded chicken breast, crushed tomatoes, red chile, and black beans... I did top it with a few white corn chips and some cheese... but only on my first cup!!

I worked out for 30 mins this morning.... upper body strength and abs... It was acutally a pretty good workout I felt good!

I'm currently working on a plan for next week (school starts dun dun dun) and I am also starting a half marathon training program so LOTS of milage.... keep your fingers crossed I can pull it off!!

Yah!! I'm so excited you started training for a half marathon. That is fantastic!!! Did you have a race in mind already? A time frame? Make sure to start thinking about fuel/salt intake while you are increasing your mileage. Got to keep the engine going for those long distances.
 
I was supposed to swim this morning but am feeling under the weather. My eyes are burning and my throat is sore. I'm achey and feel like a-hole. I'm trying to leave work by 3pm today to go get fitted for a new bike as well as buy some racing shoes and clip in pedals. Tonight I hope to get in some time on the elliptical...got my weight watcher's weigh in tomorrow and hope to either break even or have a slight loss.

I have lunch plans today at a Mexican restaurant....uh oh....
 
Hey guys

Just checking in. I have been really good about getting my exercise in and this challenge and cleaned up my diet. It's IMMACULATE. Thank you SO much. I just know I can't do badly because then I'll let other people down. Accountability!

ANYWAY, bad news...I think. I threw out my back a year ago. It was the was the worst pain I have EVER experienced. I was like..immobilized from pain for a good 2 days. WELL, yesterday when I got home from the gym I had that feeling again. The same feeling I had in my back right before I threw it out. I started freaking out because omg I cannot go through that pain again. I've been taking Aleve every two hours and I slept with a heating pad on my back. I think I'm going to have to take it easy for the next few days at the gym. I really hope I can put in my hours for the week! I'm sorry guys :-/ I totally wasn't expecting this.
 
Hey gohomies! Its okay... take care of yourself first... let your back rest, maybe even go have it checked.... its not something someone your age should have to deal with!!! Trust me I know... I have a back issue as well and when it acts up my whole world seemingly ends... but just let it rest and get better!

Fingers Crossed! WOW, Dee, good for you! :party: :hurray: I suppose I shall have to do the San Jose Rock N Roll Halfer again this October--last year's was FUN and the weather was perfect! Maybe I can beat my time!

Are you training outside or just on the treadmill or both?
