Some Accountability....

Todays workout:

1 hour of cardio. :)

wanted to squeeze that in before leaving to my consultation for the next part of my tattoo.

I'm taking the day off. My neck is hurting me because I had to drive up to my tattoo artist and couldn't wear that cervical collar. Didn't have it on for most of the day, so thought I would be better served if I took a break.....

well I *was* going to take the day off....even went back to bed for a while, but when I woke, I felt *way* better, so I took a shower, and hubby was already in the gym. So I got into my gear and did an hour of cardio incline. :)

Feel much better now.....:)

Todays workout:

1 hr. cardio incline trainer 10% at 4.3 mph

yet another day of cardio on the treadmill. I think starting Monday I'll be back to weights, but very light weights high reps (to compensate for the low weights) until I can build back up to where I was before.......

Well seems I really F'ed myself up....

Doctor said I have a severe cervical muscle strain. He made a point of saying "severe" when I said, "well how soon will I be able to workout?"

So they kindly gave me a jab in the butt with a muscle relaxer (that sh!t burns by the way...) and told me I would not be able to workout or do *anything* strenuous with my upper body...um....ok.....:action: I have to wear a CERVICAL COLLAR....can you belive this????? They put me in a cervical collar....:bncry: told me I need to take muscle relaxers and ibuprofen (and pain pills, but I probably won't take those unless it's dire)

I'm also suppose to do neck and shoulder massage regularly and hot and cold pads.....

I thought it sucked this morning....it really sucks now........:(

added: seems this is what I strained: The Levator Scapula

Ahh, I caught up on your journal. My pain is right along the picture shown. Thanks for the infor.

Well, I have not really done any weights yet, but will probably start tomorrow with some really light weights for a week, then move up a little each time...

Today I did 45 minutes cardio incline.

squats
3x12 (no weights)

leg extentions
1x12 100lbx
1x12 140lbs
1x12 180lbs

Leg curls
1x12 100lbs
1x12 120lbs
1x9 120lbs

Leg press
1x12 160lbs
2x12 200lbs
1x12 220lbx

again, I'm still hurting a bit, but I did some cardio (45 mintues) inclining, and I'm going to do some weights today. Giving myself a bit of a break between the two, and the weights will be *very* light, more for the form than for weights. :sport:

I'll post what I do, when I'm done....lol :)

Looks good. you are back at it faster than i thought you would be. Stay safe, glad you are doing better.

Thanks Johnny! :) I am only doing minimal weights right now. I can't do any weights that strain my neck muscles so it interferes with a lot of exercises. I'm basically going thru the motion except on exercises unrelated to that area.

But I'll be working my way back slowly....... :D

nice lookin workout. Thats a ****load of volume.

I take it the new home gym is working nicely for you?

Very nice actually. Still got another piece of equipment to replace, but then we should be good for a while....we have been contemplating turning our rather large 2 car garage into a gym...lol We *never* use it for the cars and we bought two 10x8 ft sheds to hold all of our tools, boat, and gardening equipment so who knows....we may expand one day......:D

But we are throughly enjoying it. Now if only I can get my act together and get my strength back, I can work on increasing my weights....lol

If you need some room you can always store the boat over here.

LOL :) Hubby has been consistently going fishing with his buddies, so I can't complain that he is keeping it clean and in the carport....

Our cars are old, and honestly I could care less if they are covered or not. I always park out front anyway....lol

We just have crap in the garage...well, except all our tools.....I use to use it for refinishing furniture, but haven't had time lately....and we don't need any more furniture!
