We got an automatic Holden Cruze, felt good from a passengers perspective, D done the test drive, he asked me to drive it as well but it takes a little bit of adjusting from driving my manual diesel to a smaller automatic so would not have been a good test.

Got a chuckle with little miss choosing a present for her brother, first choice was a Barbie when we explained it was not a good choice she picked out a transformer robot so we again explained she needed to choose something her brother would like and not a toy she wants, so come Xmas day her brother is getting a pair of Star Wars socks from his sister.

As much as I dislike this time of year we still make it fun for little miss as it should be for little kids.
 
I think a Holden Cruze would suit me fairly well.
Little Miss is so sweet & it's great that you make Christmas special for her. It's all about the kids.
 
feeling a bit run down after all the running around this morning. Sons car had a flat which he changed while I phoned his boss so they knew he would be a little late, then we had to go out to drop little miss at childcare except on the way there we saw son running along the side of the road towards our place before soon after seeing his car on the side of the road. I hooked a U-turn and we picked him up and found out his spare tyre had a blowout on the way to work. called roadside assist and hubby waited with the car while I drove son to work and finally dropped off little miss, then it was into town to the tyre place, and brave the xmas crowds before we picked up the car which needed 2 new tyres (they could not fix the puncture) before delivering sons car to him at work so he can get home later this arvo.

Now I just want to chill before getting some computer stuff done later.

The majority of the morning has been spent assembling little misses Barbie Dreamhouse. With puzzles and family games for later including a copy of Carcassonne with all 11 expansions in one box . Nothing electronic at all this year for anybody.

I have some new paint for painting miniatures and weights for the gym, including a new weight vest.
 
In general yesterday was good but hubby is feeling a bit down late last night and this morning. He got a late night fire callout, for the rural tanker to support the red trucks (full time fire brigade in town). It is never good when someone has their house burn to the ground but even worse over the holiday period. He got home at 3 am this morning.
 
No wonder your husband was down. A family of 8 were out to lunch on Christmas day here in Tas & their house was burned to the ground. It would be devastating. I really admire volunteer firefighters. There is so much long grass here in Tas this year after all of the rain. It's scary.
 
We had friends over for a games day and BBQ yesterday, food and fun. Little miss enjoyed having a friend close to her age to play barbies with because as she points out mum and dad are not very good at playing barbies lol.

Spending much of today helping her to build things with plaster model bricks because her childcare center was broken into last night and are closed today. What kind of low life breaks into a little kids play center ?

While we have the time to spend with little miss at home she loves going to play with her friends. Some parents will be struggling today with the closure.
 
Lowlife indeed. Or just very, very desperate I guess. Although what a desperate person would find in a play center I have no idea.
 
That really sucks, Tru. I don’t think I would ever understand vandalism, no matter the circumstances ,because breaking into a childcare centre surely can’t be for any financial gain.
 
dropped little miss of to childcare this morning, It seem like very organised thieves hit the center, they cut the power, used a crowbar on the office door, searched the place methodically with stuff removed from shelved and cupboard placed on the ground not thrown everywhere, all three kids rooms were searched plus the cot room. They took all of the kids iPads which are used in the kindy education room, they left a couple of larger laptops and the sign in computer (bolted to front counter), they took speakers and sound systems and they took the vacuum cleaners from 2 rooms including the wall chargers.
 
This evening I was in the gym with little miss rearranging weights etc. when little miss got bored of lifting things and moving weight plates she went out to the heavy bag, punching and kicking it, the cute thing was every time she made the the bag swing it came with a loud "Take That" "and that" it was so loud hubby came down from the house to see what was wrong lol only to see the heavy bag vigorously swinging as little miss attacked it. Apparently she was a super hero and the bag was a super villain.
