realworksuks vs [Focus] - "LIKE DONKEY KONG, SON!"

Almost feel bad now, having to say I told you so. :p Glad you're making progress on getting sorted out, though, and you certainly have my best wishes.

Maybe it's a virus with an easy fix. :)

So, I got into the doctor today.

It's either a viral infection (let's hope!), a stroke, multiple scilorosis, or a brain tumor.

****

Wow, I never thought I'd be hoping for someone to be diagnosed with a viral infection but good luck buddy, I hope it turns out OK

I was doing dumbell bench press with 70 pound dumbells yesterday, 8 reps per set.. was pretty happy. But I have a way to go before I get back up to doing 95's 4 times.

I did ten pullups in a row, which was the most depressing because I use to do sets with a 45 pd plate attached 8 reps... these bodyweight reps were very very hard for me now, so that sucked.

Anyway, I will be taking it much easier in the gym.. I am gonna just start doing each bodypart once per week in the form of a 3 day split.

1. push
2. pull
3. legs

Haha, no, man, no thunder robbing. I know it looks like I'm slacking off hard, but I've just been real busy the last couple weeks. Lotta things came up all at once. Training and everything is good, though strange and real low tech.

Really glad to see you keeping at the training (though smart enough to be careful) and getting it all figured out. Thoughts are still with ya, and I'll update and actually start logging again this on Monday.

push day today, felt pretty damn strong! Went really well.

DB bench press

55 X 15
65 X 10
75 X 8
70 X 10

cable crossovers
60 X 10 X 3

DB standing shoulder press
35 X 10
40 X 10
45 X 6

then I did some close grip bench press and some rear and side delts... was a great workout! I am thankful that I can still get in the gym and lift some heavy ass weight! You don't realize how much you love being strong until you lose some of it. That just makes me want to get there again...

Someday soon I will do a set of pullups with 2 45 pd plates attached... been a goal of mine for a while.

great workout today, I already regained a lot of my lost strength and surprisingly some size too...

Weighted chins
BW X 12
35 X 6 (yep, that's right, we're getting it back)
35 X 6
BW X 12

Rack Pull Deadlifts (about 6 inches off the ground decreased range of motion, easier on the knees)
135 X 15
185 X 10
205 X 10
225 X 7

Was quite happy I could do this!

Ummm, then I did some T bar rows, with 75 pounds and some shrugs and then a couple sets of curls. Felt great... plus my brother came with me, well he always does, and it's really fun. He has made great progress! He started with nothing, 6 feet 140 pounds, and now he is 164 pounds, and almost all lean tissue gained.

It's really fun working out together, and I am thankful that I am still getting in the gym...!

Thoughts

Last week's told me two things for sure:
1) no carbs -> no glycogen -> me 20 lbs lighter -> me much faster
2) me much faster -> hr much higher -> me more likely to die during workout -> me likey

Peak HR has very consistently been 190 bpm. The only time it's ever gone higher was the one 203, and I'm now fairly sure that was a blip.

Also, I am currently in muscle-sparing fast mode (600 calories/day - 98% of it protein) and somewhat mystified as to why I haven't taken a massive performance hit like in the before. Don't any of you pansies say anything about it, either. I'm not an ordinary fellow, and 2 years of trial and error has shown me that this is the only way to make my body do what I want it to, so. :SaiyanSmilie_anim: Cursed metahuman genetics include outrageous metabolic efficiency. :/

You are surviving on 600 calories a day!?!?

Thriving, actually. :D

But obv, what I'm doing is "very dumb". It's just that, very dumb is the only thing that'll work for me. Don't try this at home until you've exhausted all your other options, folks (literally).

Waiting on metabolism to shut down, but I've been making a smooth progression of a lb a day and expect to do so for the next 45-60 days or so, if past experience holds. And I'm still gaining strength, so... I must be doing something right, right? :p

Dare I ask... stats???

Dare I ask... stats???

He keeps an extensive personal log on himself, and is well educated in dietary mechanics. I may not agree with what he is doing (more specifically the amount of calories) but, he understands where the 600c relates to his approximated needs when considering his personal stats and activities. I also believe he knows the potential negative consequences which he did touch upon in his initial post (however slight).

Focus.......love ya brotha.......You know this is extremely low--even with your history. Can you make a different educated approach based on your personal history--that you haven't tried?

Best regards,

Chillen

Thinking about you......

I feel a struggle within you......I don't know why......I just feel your struggling with something.

If you are. Is there something I can do?

I hope all is well at home.

Best regards,

If you meant physically, I am currently 196 lbs, ?% bf (I'd put me at 16%, and so far my guesses have been as accurate as third-party skinfold testing :D). Also, I feel great.

As you can see, 98% was an exaggeration. It's cause I don't really see the fish oil or the fibre supplement (though I do count them as containing calories - I count everything, even the BCAAs) as food in my mind when tallying. That unaccounted for % is from cocoa and mint oil I sometimes add to my drinks. =D

Chart is obv wrong wrt to macro %s, and they have YET to fix it. Said they would ages ago. :/ But, I'm sure you can do the mental math. Total usable carbs are under 25g per day, every day of the week, and my PWO consists of 35g of protein from whey.
