I'm Korrie, just turned 33. I have been married for 8 yrs and have 2 girls, 12 and 6. Um, I'm a stay at home mom. Love to do crafts, painting and recently really enjoy recreational reading. I love love the twilight saga! lol My all time high weight was reached 2 mths ago and I was at 250 and now i'm down to 229. Not bad for 7 wks of dieting. I'm looking forward to being down to 150 this time next year!!!

Great idea - I am in London, a 44 year old fat guy (you may have guessed from my user name!). I am married and have been with the same wonderful lady for 16 years now, and I need to lose weight and get fit so I can spend another 55 years with her - that's may sound a bit selfish having a cap on my age but in the UK you get a birthday card from the Queen at 100 and also a card if you get to your 60th wedding anniversary! :party:

I started changing my life when I hit the scales at 20st 10lbs (290lbs) - thats a cheesburger away from being morbidly obese and not somewhere I wanted to be. I have tried every diet from Atkins to Weight Watchers, and none worked for me, so I started a strict calorie controlled diet coupled with proper exercise 5 or 6 days a week.

I began my journey 8 and a bit weeks ago, and I have lost 35lb so far - its great, but as we all know the beginning is always easier than the end - I have lots of mini goals on the way as that seems to work for many people on this wonderful site, and my next is to be under 235lbs by late November, when I am leading out a team in the World Elephant Polo Championships in Nepal! They say an elephant never forgets, and I am pretty sure they havn't forgotten carrying my fat backside around during the last couple of years tournaments :blush5:

I will get to a weight somewhere between 180 and 200lbs by Easter 2011 - not sure what the final number will be but I guess one day next year I will look in the mirror and realise that I am where I need to be :cheers2:

In the meantime, roll on October :)

Lets seee my name is Laura, im 26, hairstylist. Living in florida, I have a 3 year old son nearly 4 in december my peak weight was probably begining of this year at 240 , im sitting inbetween 217 and 220 atm its fluctuating crazy like, but im working with a 1700 calorie eating habits i float along between 1500-1700 I work out 6 days a week ive been steadily doing this for almost a month now and i feel much better about myself since ive been working out, i notice i walk faster move more in the morning. My long term goal is 125 hopefully by july of next year its a tough road but im willing to take this challenge and really stick with it. My short term goal is 200 atleast by december 1st,. itd be great if i got more than that off. My lowest weight as a mature adult was 155 and i wasnt 100% happy with that then either though i wish i never took that weight for granted :] I cant wait for this month to start and achieve some weight loss :D
 
I'm about to restart back my weight lose journey. My sis, cousin and me will be starting this journey together on 1st Oct. I guess this will be a good start for me to post it in here too.

Hey there everyone

My name is Carrie and I'm 25 years old. I'm a sahm to two children. My daughter is two and my son turned on yesterday. I'm 5 feet tall and currently 167 pounds. I started my journey on sept 11 of this year at 178lbs. I'm sick of not being comfortable. I started gaining weight before my first pregnancy. After my first I was 185 pounds and managed to get down to 170 when I found out I was pregnant again. After he was born I was 180 pounds.

I'm determined not to spend another summer uncomfortable in my own body. I want to be back down to 115 pounds which is a healthy weight for someone my height.

Good luck to everyone I can't wait to start this challenge.

A little about me: I'm 21 years old, living in Melbourne, Australia. I am a housewife and a student, studying a Bachelor of Business with a major in Human Resources - only a year off graduating! I started gaining weight about 3 years ago when I moved to Melbourne and moved in with my husband because I stopped being as active and started eating a lot more (my husband loves to cook for me!). I've been having a lot of health problems this year so I have started losing weight is to better my health (not to mention look hot).

Hi my name is Anizah, you can just call me Ani. I'm 34 and still single. Mostly I'm working in front of pc. My weight start to pile up since I've my car which was like 9 years ago. Well I used to walk or run to catch my bus. At this moment, there is no bus from my house to the office (so please don't suggest to me to use bus again) My work sometime drag me to stay in the office longer than the actual working hours; usual at night and sometime over the weekend. My weight never reach 95kg (thankfully). Usually it's between 80kg - 90kg. I used to be around 60kg. I want to be 60kg again and hopefully lower. My ideal weight should be around 50 - 55kg but I try to survive this month first. The only problem I have is to stick with the workout regime because half-way through I'm getting too busy with work until I won't have time to exercise.
