Let's do this!

Also--just had a thought ... maybe now that we have the ground-rules made, they should be edited into the first post for any late-comers? Just a thought :)

eeek afraid to weigh myself. been putting it off.....i was at my goal weight (115) for so long and have put on some weight in the last few months!

Thanks :]! I'm excited about this contest. It's really pumped me up about starting this change in my life.

I spend too much time on my computer...

Since I apparently just lurk around this page all day, I figured I would share some statistics about our New Years Biggest Loser Challenge, which is right around the corner!!

So far there are 26 people who have said they are in!! And of those 26, I already have all the starting information (weight and name) from 18 people!!

And there's still tomorrow for anyone to join! This is so exciting! :seeya:

Of the information I have, I can say we are quite the diverse group, with our weights varying wildly. The average weight for the group information I have so far is 241.5 pounds (which I happen to be just a bit heavier than... Well, perhaps several bits! :leaving:).

I'm excited to start this journey with you all, and I just want to encourage everyone to keep coming back to the thread, even if you fall! We're all here to pick each other up... And to kick each other's competitive asses!!

Priti - I hated moving my ticker away from goal too... Hopefully we will be back there really soon. When we get back there - it is always worth remembering that all the challenges on ANOTHER DIET FORUM give weight control points - so they give standard points for reducing - but also points for maintenance and controlled gain (e.g. for pregnant women)... That used to help me... The only problem was that I ran the December challenge and knew how to get round things and did the tough stuff up front. I left the easy stuff for the last two weeks and gained all my weight then. Other people have controlled their weight just fine. It is all a bit embarrassing really...:angelsad2:

Bob - I am pleased that the water did it's weight reduction magic for you...

p.s. this week i am at my mom's next week on i'll be weighing from a different scale----might be a difference due to that, i only mention it to be fair, but the difference can go either way

Slight edit to my starting weight, it's 396 not 400. I don't want to start with an unfair advantage :)

I don't think I'll be winning that first challenge. I don't think I can drink 25 glasses of water a day :puke:

Maybe we can make it up with regular weight loss :)
