Nae82 - Trying to stay on track

hm.. can u send me some of those too? lol.. jk (unless its not too much trouble)

yeah, i dont like it too much. i like mustard, but not too much tuna. i eat it because its convenient lol

i use cheap crappy regular yellow mustard, only because my bf is so picky. Hm, maybe i'll just have my buy my own mustard! :)

I havent put everything into fitday, but does that look ok?

Thanks Sara.

I plugged in the macros for yesterday in my previous post..

wow.. i have neglected this.. ok.. doing well food wise.. i wouldn't say great, but well. staying at about 1700-1800 cals, will be bumping that up next week. I try to aim for 30/30/30 and give myself 10 to play with.

i can barely lift my arms from the shoulder circuit i did yesterday.. (shrug, upright row, clean, press - 3x10 @40lbs)

may have actually got a lifing partner from my class... she is the only other one in there who has ever touched a weight. we get along great and try to help out the others when we see them with bad form (while the prof is in her own world doing her workout) We have an actual classroom day thursday so i'll be interested to see what BS she teaches us.

tomorrow i have lower body.. and then of course the stupid 250 crunches.

just to add.. i finally made a decision.. it's bulk time.. i've really just been maintaining for a while.

after talking with D (in my class) we are both kinda in the same boat, so we talked some things out, bounced ideas off of eachother and decided lets bulk up for now. i dont know how much i want to bulk.. i hit 130lbs last week.

took monday off because I had class then had to study...

yesterday was legs day.. let me tell you, i can barely walk today.

box squats - 4x8 @ 120 - (tough)

lunges passing a 10lb plate through the legs (Thanks again Goergen!)
I found a medicine ball with a handle on it that is 25lbs.. I may try that next time

SLDL - 3x8 @ 45 (light)

step ups and jump squats - 3x10

then of course I had to do 230 crunches with the class.

on another note.. I'll have my associates degree in May and was looking at tuition at a couple of universities around here. The closest is UTD.. but it's $1,399 for one 3 credit hour class! I can't believe the company that I work for does not have tuition reimbursement.. even McDonalds does!!

No sweat. I think that med ball with the handle would be perfect. The 10lbs might be too light to get the best training effect.

Super Awesome. :cool::beerchug::jump1::D

yeah, i did it a few times with the MB, i just have balance issues.. so i stuck with 10 to concentrate on form.. we'll see how it goes next time. :)

yesterday: shoulders/chest/tri's

push ups - 4x8
Shoulder circuit (shrug, upright row, clean, press) - 3x8 @40lbs
bench - 3x8 @75 (this was really tough, probably because of what i did first)
cable cross - 3x8 @45
tri press - 3x10 @50

the only thing is when you snacked on the orange, try to get a little protein from somewhere as well. i generally discourage intake of carb or fat only during a snack

like what?

i have an apple at 10:ish each day. what should we add?

how about dark chocolate?? hahaha ok just kiddin

hi FF :)

yesterday: back and bi's

pull ups - 4x3 (can only do 3 at a time)
lat pull down - 3x10 @ 60
seated row - 3x10 @ 50
db curl - 3x10 @15

then went and ran some sprints in the gym and now have a knot in my left quad :(

ok, so yesterday i went to the gym intending to do a bit of cardio to work my leg out, but it wasn't helping. it hurt so bad i could barely bend my knee behind me and touch my toe. i think i did about 15 mins on the bike and came home. put the ice pack on it for about 20 mins, then a heating pad for 20 mins.. and voila.. the pain is gone :)

which is good because i have legs today. :)

Who has them the other days?

Saturday:

deadlifts - 3x8 @110/ 1x6 @115... that was pretty tough.. but I'm trying to get my DL weight over my squat.

bulg split squats - 3x8 w/ 20lb DBs... knee bothered me a bit

calf raises - 3x12 @140

then did some core work and called it a day.

Yesterday: chest/tri's

push ups - 3x8
DB bench - 10@ 25/ 8@30/ 6@35
dips - 3x6 (body weight)
close grip bench - 3x10 @ 40
tri press - 3x10 @ 50

I decided to go do some sprinting again.. bad mistake. left quad really hurts now.. i don't know what I did. Maybe I didn't stretch well enough. I could barely even drive my car (it's a standard) home from the gym. used some muscle cream and cold/hot press last night.. stull hurts, though not as bad.

Stretching before running? Have you ever thought about cutting out the stretching and warming up instead? There's a fair bit of evidence that pre-exercise stretching increases the risk of injury

i thought about that.. i didnt stretch the last time when it initially hurt, so i thought i should stretch this time.. :(
