My Online Weight Journal - comments welcome

I'll join ya and both of us can think about the oatmeal cream pie. MMMMM...what i give to have one right now...:D

I did it. I resisted. :D

I just finished a KILLER workout. Phew! I'm sweating like a freakin pig, but omg...I pushed myself almost the the pain threashold with ST and then cardio...I know u can't trust the cals burned number on the elliptical but usually, I aim for 1200 cals for an hours work. Today I got to 1320! I've NEVER gotten that high before!!! WOOHOO!!!! I feel so good about that! :D

GET READY: I RESISTED CAKE, SODA, OATMEAL PIES, CANDY....all of that today.... :D

BUT I'm soooooo hungry right now...I could stand to eat something since I am under my target caloric intake by about 150. I may have a can of green beans. I'm STARVING!!!

But I'm so excited I resisted those!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

Yay! Keep up the great work :)

Grrrr......

(VENT: I just typed out a rather lengthy post and it is now lost to cyberspace... )

Thanks Tom and Merc!

I still can't believe I ewas able to resist those things! And to top it off, I came in about 100+ cals UNDER my target caloric intake for the day!

I had a rather large breakfast today:

3 hard boiled eggs with bacon bits sprinkled on top, 2 slices of toast, apple. The thought behind all that was to eat a lot this morning so it will keep me full for a longer period of time. I have never eaten that much....I've eaten half my cals already!!! Never again will I do that...unless it really works well.

Today's workout is cardio. I will also be going to the barn for a couple of hours today. I won't be doing much work, though. Mostly just barn sitting as the owner is away. I will have to hay before I leave, though. Not a big deal....

My breakfast tends to be about twice the calories of my other meals - around 600-700 compared to around 300-400 per meal. Just keep avoiding the sweets and treats and you should be good to go. Experimentation is always good as you'll find out what works and what doesn't for you.

Yes, but u can eat more than I can. :D It's 10:15 here and I'm not all that hungry. THANK GAWD! However, I'm not gonna hold my breath. LOL I'm trying not to constantly think of how hungry I may be at any given time. Oh, and chew gum and drink water. LOL

Umm think about something that doesn't go into your body... It might distract you enough so as to take your mind from it. :)

But experiment this week with varying calorie intakes, and see what works for you. This can be a step by step process where you gradually eat cleaner and cleaner til your palate becomes trained to it.

I sense a double meaning in there somewhere. LOL

You are right. I should experiment with different intakes. For today I am at 1133 already. But, if u go to the link in my siggy, u can see what I have eaten. It's not great, but at least my carbs are down! Fat, on the other hand....

I noticed that when you posted your breakfast - having a lot of fat isn't the most efficient way to spend your calories. You could probably have the same amount of calories but have more actual food, so you'd be less hungry (if that makes any sense). Instead of having the eggs with bacon bits, try making a fruit smoothie with lowfat yogurt - it's filling, tasty and healthy.

Isn't it?

Would you say it sets you up for fat eating throughout the day, or gets the craving out of the way?

That depends on how you look at it I think... There's probably a good scientific reason for one or the other, but to be honest I don't know what it is.

I do not have the ability (read: appliance) to make a smoothie. :(

I am going to go over today, though. We're having spaghetti and rolls tonight for dinner. I'm ok with that, bc it's only Monday. I have the rest of the week to work it off.

Just one plate and one roll will be fine!!
