My Online Weight Journal - comments welcome

YAY!!! *does the booty dance* I'm getting better! I'm getting better! :D

I say that when only 3 hrs ago I was stuffing a meatball sub, some corn chips and a soda down my throat. :eek: I know, I know....ugh. And I was sdoing soooo well!!!

BUTT - I did get my eggs and water, so back on the diet like a mad woman tomorrow. And I found some veggie things at the store, too. I think I bought rice, broccoli and cheese. The cals are ok - around the same as what I need per meal. HOWEVER - the carbs are waaaaaay over the top. I didn't realize that when I bought them. Oh well. I thought I was doing well! LOL No wonder I feel like a fat woman tonight! LOL
 
It'll be ok. We've all done the same thing. Live and learn.

I am starting the day off with 3 eggs and a banana. I am not having a snack b/w B & L since it's alreay practically 11am here. For lunch, I will have my usual salad. Snack....could be some cheese and peanuts or one of those broccoli and rice things. Going out tonight so not sure what will happen there. At least I can start out right, huh? lol
 
That weight could be water or muscle. It'll be ok. Just keep on going. The payoff will be soon. So far I'm doing ok at the calories, but I've never done points. If the calories don't work, I'll try that. How exactly does it work? Isn't the same thing as calories? My mom and aunt did weight watchers, but when they quit, they gained it back, my mom more than my aunt.

Doing the WW points is actually easier than u may think. You focus on Dietary Fiber, Cals and Fat Grams. Using those 3 numbers is how u find ur points. Now, I can't remember what points go for ea weight, but I do know that if you are under 150lbs it's about 18-20 pts per day. It really worked for me. I was able to lose a good 30 pounds on it. I stopped bc I got to my goal weight and said, ok I'm done. LOL Bad move. LOL

Once you calculate the ideal points u need per day, u then find ordinary, every day foods that u like and eat away. I lost weight even eating chocolate and diet soda! lol Of course, we know now I have given those up, but still....the great thing about that wasI could eat the same things as my family without having to put them on a diet that they don't need to be on. And honestly, the WW and Lean Cuisine foods I ate were REALLY GOOD. I would have one for lunch ea day and they were soooo good.
 
Weight is just that - could be anything, muscle, fat, water, slow digestion, slow release, whatever. Hard though it is (I do it too) try not to focus on what the scale's telling you, and focus on all the cool stuff you're able to do now. Just a thought :)
 
I agree with that. Focus on what you can accomplish or what you have accomplished. Set a goal and see if you can achieve it. Don't worry about what the mean old scale says. You'll be happy one day and upset the other because of what it says. Don't put yourself thru that. It won't accomplish one thing.
 
I know you are right....it's just getting myself to the point where I can ignore it. :mad:
 
I know where you are coming from. I check it in the morning every day, but I don't obsess about it. It's just a number. It gives me an idea where I am. Besides the best way to judge how your progess is is by your clothes.

Dessert: Double chocolate fudge blizzard :eek:

I so wish I had had the strength to purge....I totally would have done it last night. Felt soooooo huge. And gross....and fat. :(
 
6/25 eats

B/S: handful ritz (red. cal) crackers, water
L: salad
S: strawberries, grapes, light whipped cream, peanuts
D: don't have a clue yet.

There was a time when I would weight myself 3x per day:

As soon as I got up after using the bathroom
The minute I got home from work
Immediately before bed.

Talk about obsessive! lol

Just a little bit, but we all go thru it. Just don't let it rule your life.

There are times I feel like that, especially when I alot of calories. We really don't want to start binge and purge. Jayme would get on us about that..lol. Do we really want the wrath of her on us?

So I'm not the only one?? My hubby thinks there is something wrong with me. I have never B&P, but I have felt the urge to do so many times.
 
you are def not alone....for me my biggest problem was binging...i would do it 3 times a week and it just made me fall into such a big depression....there were times i tried to purge but i guess i was scared and held back so it didnt work for me. but never think your alone with that feeling...its normal...and my boyfriend doesnt understand it either....

The main thing that helped me was eating more healthy stuff in the day so i wasnt starving atnight...and also i forced myself to go an entire week without once ounce of anything sweet and it really reduced my cravings even though it was so hard to get through that week

Keep your chin up :) your doing a great job and i really enjoy reading your diary.

So tonight, I didnt' feel like eating dinner. The kids ate a little before 7 and I really wasn't into it. I don't eat after 6.30 if I can help it, so I had two graham cracker squares with some milk. I feel ultra huge right now, but oh well.

Oh, and Mary - you are so right about the cravings. I honestly thought I would DIE without chocolate and soda. But I really don't crave them anymore. Oh, sure, I crave soda every once in a while - like a really hott day - but not so much chocolate. In fact, the blizzard I had last night was too rich for me.
