My Online Weight Journal - comments welcome

LOL U ladies are funny. I am currently a stay at home mom, but I did run/workout before going to work in the am. I get up at about 6 on my long mornings (doing 45+ mins of working out) or about 6.30 or 7 on my short mornings (doing 30 mins). Now that school is out, I am able to sleep in a little bit. But still. I rather get it done and out of the way. If I put it off for too long, I don't do it.

Today's meals:

B: 2 hard boiled eggs, slice of toast with pb
S: too close to lunch, so I didn't have one
L: salad with chicken
S:2 cookies (oops....grrr), cheese stick, apple
D: probably hamburgers, corn on cob, and potatoes

LOTS of water

Good choice of food. Don't worry about the cookies. You'll have the sweets, just don't make it a habit. Now and then is ok.

oh, and I had broccoli for dinner, too. I can't think of anything else.

Do I see a some protein at breakfast, woohooo, you're getting it together.

I'm a big fan of broccoli, too. I call cauliflower broccoli's albino cousin:) . And have you ever had broccoflower (a real thing!:) A cross between the two!) Anyways...

So do I. LOVE IT!!! Could I put cheese on it for a snack, or is that a no no???

i read a few months ago in a fitness magazine that it's better to have your veggies with not-so-great-for-you toppings than no veggies at all.

My cheesy advice :p on ways to add healthier cheese:
-I'm not really much of a cheese-lover, so I don't know if you have refined cheese tastes that might find it disgusting, but I find that smart beat cheese slices in American are pretty good. I think they're 25 calories apiece, 0-1g fat (I don't remember), and 15% DV calcium. They're usually kept around the butter in the dairy case.
-Bird's eye makes a frozen veggie dish that's broccoli, etc., and rice in a cheese sauce that rivals Kraft's, but with nowhere near the fat and calories. However, they go a little light on the veggies, but still quite yummy.
-Or maybe cheez-wiz? Do they make a light variety/are there a lot of calories in it? I have no clue.

They do make a light cheez-wiz. I would think it would be alright for a quick snack. I knew bird's eye made the frozen vegetables. Not sure if you can have it depending if you are watching your fat/carb/calories. I would think it wouldn't be that high in fat/carb/calories, but I'm not sure. Just check it out.

Ugh....here we go:

B: 2 eggs & slice of toast with pb
L: salad with chicken, 2 cookies (ugh...damn them! lol)
S: couple of handfulls of crackers
D: Spaghetti w/meat sauce (and a corn muffin - ouch)

I know I over did it today. It's a good thing we didn't go to the ice cream - no sorry, the frozen custard place - tonight....I would really be bumming! lol

And I ran out of eggs today. Dammit. Now, what should I have for breakfast tomorrow? 2 slices of toast with pb? My usual cereal with banana? And I also ran out of my stick cheese (thanks to the kids!). God, I can't wait until Friday! WOOHOO!!! lol

The toast is fine, so is your usual. If you like tuna, you can have that. Mix your breakfast up. Doesn't have to be the same ol same ol. Have fun with it.

Don't worry about tonight. Tomorrow is another day.

It may not have to be the same ol same ol, but at least I know with that, I'm doing well! LOL

Ugh. Today....

B: 2 slices of toast with pb
S: none - ate B at 9.30
L: (bring out the whips - I was so naughty!) small ham and cheese sand with green peppers, BBQ fritos

BUT on the bright side when I got up this morning, I noticed my stomach was flatter....YAY!!! Of course, that was when I sucked it in....which is what I do ALL THE TIME lol. I hope that someday I won't have to suck it in to see my abs and to really be thin. :)

:) thanks! Of course, me having an ice cream tonight won't help, but damn, was it good! LOL

LOL..and you didn't share:confused: Bad Wendy. Go sit in the corner for 5 minutes.:D

That's all?? I thought it was a minute per age?! LOL :D

Don't know where I was at last week at this time, but I think I gained a pound. I'm back at 131. Not that I can really be surprised...I did eat some naughty things the last couple of days....But I think overall, I did pretty wek. Added a lot of protein (ok more than I had!) to my meals and really worked out hard.

I'm pretty excited, I bought some good things at the store today. IO got some whole grain spaghetti, peanuts, more string cheese, protein bars (only 2; not sure if I will like them). I did not, however, get any eggs, so back to the store I will have to go. Oh, yeah, and my water. I'm getting there, people!

Good job on the store. If you can stand cottage cheese, that's good for a snack or part of the meal. It's even better w/fruit on it.

It takes baby steps, but you are getting better every day.
