Today:

B: bag of 100 cals teddy grahams
S: few handfuls of chex mix
L: Turkey sand and cheese stick, another 100 cal bag of TG's and a few blueberries

Routine:

I am thinking of changing my routine to alternating b/w running and Tae Bo, so that one week, I will do TB on M, W, Fridays and the next week I will run on M, W, Fridays. The other days I will do the other workout and I will do weights as well. What do you think?

Sounds good. Changing up your routine is good. Keep the body guessing.

My son had his Kindergarten orientation today. I can't believe that I will have 2 in school this year! YIKES!!! :eek:

Today:

B: 2 slices of toast w/ pb, glass of milk
S: handful of kitkat bites (coul'dnt resist!)
L: turkey sandwhich lettuce (anyone know the cals on that? 99% fat free turkey slices, lettuce and whole wheat bread...that's it.), a few (prob 6) vanilla cookies (130 cals per six)

ran last night. Tae Bo tonight.
 
I have three in school. When the twins started it was wierd. Next year my last will be in Kindergarten. I am sure I will cry like a baby. You workout sounds good. I will be doing a little Billy Blanks here in the near future as my hubby will be travelling an I will be back to work. I like all of his Tae Bo videos that I own. I haven't tried the boot camp though.
 
Yeah, I haven't tried the boot camp either, but the cardio dvd I have is good. I think I will try the other dvd that came with it - total body fitness.

For my snack today, I had a half a bag of popcorn. So that is about 50 cals I think. I have to figure out my cals for the day. Anyone know of the turkey sandwich cals???? :confused:

Ok, I added up my cals for the day. I am going to say that my sandwich was 207 cals. (140 for bread, 7 for lettuce pieces, 60 for turkey slices) Therefore, the total amount of cals I have had today have been (drum roll please...) 977. Not bad, really. So I have about 520 cals left to eat for the day and I'm not sure what to make. Guess I will have to scope the place out. LOL

omg...I may have a LIFE!!! LMAO....

Ok, I just ate dinner - a chicken and rice...thing - and now I feel like a friggin WHALE! omg. I feel so huge. I feel fat and so guilty. Of course, going over my cals by about 100 doesn't help....and u know what - I'm so not full....my stomach is still growling. which again, doesnt' help. omg....why does food have to = GUILT for me???? :(
 
I don't know why you do that, but I used to feel like if I didn't feel stuffed, I wasn't eating enough. Now I know I don't have to be stuffed when I eat. I can always have a snack later.

It could be that since you are "dieting" so to speak, you equate weight loss with not eating. That's not a good thing. You need to eat, just watch what you eat and how much of it.

Smaller portions = good
Big portions = bad

You'll find a happy medium somewhere. It will take time.

Today:

B: 2 eggs, 1 slice toast with pb (420)

Think I'll make brownies later. :p

Um oh yeah I was going to say on the heels of what She said that you
'may equate hunger with weight loss". I totally 100% believe this is the problem of 90% of dieters thats why they starve and then get FAT when they actually eat. Just cause you're hungry doesn't mean you're going to lose an OUNCE and just cause your stuffed to your gills doesn't mean you're going to GAIN an ounce! I'm total proof of that. At the beginning of trying to eat more I was like OMG I'm SO full ALL the time I'm going to gain a thousand pounds! I actually LOST weight for a while as I increased my cals. Conversely I can eat high cal/dense calorie food at my meal times and never be full, but gain weight. So its not really contingent on how you're feeling all the time. I do understand the "I feel like a whale" part after eating. Especially after dinner I can feel this way and for some reason dinner seems to really hang in my tummy for a long time, no matter what it is. So then I just feel disgusting as I go to sleep but I always wake up ok and not "fat" :). Anyway, I mostly just wanted to say be careful not to mentally think you are gaining weight or "fat" just cause you are full. Go by your cals and activity for the day at that point. Reassure yourself "ok I'm around my cal range and I ran today, so what". Thats been the key for me. Otherwise my head can totally play games with me.
 
Yeah, I totally hear what you are saying. It's just for so long, you think one way and then it takes a while for ur head to change its thinking. Today, I feel ok. I feel hungry right now (despite my brownie caving) and I am looking forward to my run this evening. My rings are another indicator, although they have been known to trick me a few times. If they are just really loose and go around in circles all day, I feel pretty good that I'm doing ok. Although if they start to get tight, I begin to freak. LOL
 
My clothes are my indicator, but they can be stressing too. I'm still in my 16's but there are days that they feel looser and then there are days they feel tighter. Damn mind games, I wish they would stop. Then it doesn't help at times when I think my shirts are on the verge of being too big and my mom would tell me, nope..fits just fine...ARGH!!

My mom doesn't know that I've lost weight or she hasn't said anything to me if she does know, but she asked me the one time when she was down for a visit if I wanted this shirt that was a 22/24 and I said no, it was too big and she said too big? I said yes and nothing was said after that. My dad asks me everytime he sees me have you lost weight and I just say no, redistrubated it. We just laugh and go on.
 
I'm kind of a fanatic about the rings too Wendy. If they're tight it bums me. lol. But I retain water EASILY and besides the obvious diet culprit, even if I've had a hard workout and don't drink enough water I'll puff up! SO I know even that lies. You're right, it is hard to switch the mind.

Had an AWESOME run. I sprinted for my last quarter of a mile. It was just awesome!
