Motivational sayings and/or affirmations.

Learning to love yourself (continued)
Trust Yourself.
Have confidence in your abilities.
Know that you have the ability to make important changes for yourself,
for as long as you put your heart to it.
You can also support yourself by visualising desired outcomes.

“Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.”
Benjamin Spock (American Pediatrician and Author, 1903-1998)

Forgive Yourself.
If you have made mistakes in the past that had caused you to feel less worthy,
then you need to forgive yourself.
All of us make mistakes; so there is no need to beat yourself up over them.
If you’ve been carrying around a baggage of emotional hurt because of a childhood trauma,
learn to forgive yourself & let it go.
It was not your fault.

Be Truthful To Yourself.
Loving yourself requires you to be truthful about your own feelings.
If you are happy, acknowledge the joy.
If you are sad, acknowledge the sorrow.
When you are truthful about your feelings,
you do not try to lie to yourself or seek to bury your negative emotions.
Instead, acknowledging what you feel provides a good guide to what your thoughts are
and, as we all know, thoughts can be changed, so that healing and self growth can take place.

Nurture Your Dreams.
Why deny yourself your dreams? When you nurture your dreams, you would love the life that you are leading. Every moment that you live is a joy because you are expressing yourself fully.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
~Mark Twain

Relax.
You need to give yourself space to take breaks every now and then.
If you spend your time working, without paying attention to your health,
it also means that you do not love yourself well enough to take care of your own body.
Fill your time with silence, soothing music and visions of beauty;
anything that nourishes your soul.

Boost Your Self Confidence.
Make a deliberate attempt to look for opportunities that can help improve your sense of self.
For instance, if you are particularly good at doing something,
set aside more time to indulge and improve your skills on it.
Knowing that you have particular gifts can boost your self esteem.

Learn To See Beauty.
When you learn to see beauty in everything, you will also see beauty in yourself.
"Take time to smell the roses." Notice everything. Feel everything.
The colours of the flowers in your garden,
the greenness of the paddocks, the whisper of the gentle wind,
or the myriad hues of an evening sky.
Be in the moment & savour it.
Life is beautiful, nature is beautiful, you are beautiful.

Grow Spiritually.
When you spend time growing spiritually, loving yourself is an automatic thing.
You become more peaceful, connected, kind, loving and compassionate.
You nurture a mind that grows more beautiful by the day.
How to not love yourself in the process?

"There are no mistakes, save one:
the failure to learn from a mistake."
~ Robert Fripp

"To walk the earth in friendship is to embrace the highest human potential.
Friendship bathes us with warmth and life while inspiring our soul to blossom."
~Micheal Teal - Poet , Philosopher and Shaman

Whatever it is that you are doing commit to it 100%.
When at work commit to work 100%.
When with family be consciously with them 100%.
With friends give them all of your attention.
Really live your life whole-heartedly.
Be in the moment.
Give it your all.

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think that you dare not, you don't;
If you'd like to win, but you think you can’t,
It’s almost certain you wont.

If you think you'll lose, you've lost;
For out in the world you'll find
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are;
You've got to think high to rise;
You've got to be sure of yourself before
you can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don’t always go
to the stronger or faster man;
but sooner or later the man who wins
is the man who thinks he can.

Dinah Maria (Mulock) Craik (often attributed to George Eliot)
"Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person;
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but to pour them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together,
knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping, and then, with a breath of kindness,
blow the rest away."

Don't be afraid to share your thoughts and fears with your forum "friends" because that is what unconditional friends are for.
Pour it out. Feel free to do so.

May you find .....

May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand.
May you not become too concerned with material matters,
but instead place immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.
Find time in each day to see beauty and love in the world around you.
Realize that what you feel you lack in one regard
you may be more than compensated for in another.
What you feel you lack in the present
may become one of your strengths in the future.
May you see your future
as one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience.
May you find enough inner strength
to determine your own worth by yourself,
and not be dependent
on another's judgment of your accomplishments.

"Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles,
and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well.
Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else."
~ Brian Tracy

“Women need real moments of solitude and self-reflection
to balance out how much of ourselves we give away.”

Barbara De Angelis (American researcher on relationships and personal growth)
