You drown by staying there.

"There is no failure except in no longer trying."
Elbert Hubbard

“You won't realise the distance you've walked until you take a look around and realise how far you've been.”

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.”

Make your own list of "The advantages of losing weight & becoming slim."
Look at it every day for positive reinforcement.

Picture yourself moving towards your goal, rather than away from something negative.
Imagine yourself there. Picture it. Picture wearing the sort of clothes you dream of wearing.
Imagine you are that person right now.
You are making it happen. It will become your reality.
(Goals are much more compelling when you are moving towards something that you want, rather than away from something you don't.)

Sacrifice is giving up something good for something better.

(I like this because it is all positive, rather than labelling certain things as "bad")

"Success is failure that tried one more time".

Never, ever, ever give up. Nothing is lost unless you stop trying. Get up off the floor, dust yourself over, and give it another go. You only lose when you stop believing that you can do this.

No-one ever "conquers" anything for good in the simplest sense. All we do is master a skill, use it to achieve a goal - but then we have to keep applying our knowledge to make small adjustments as life progresses. To "conquer" a country once meant an invader had to administer that territory for good, and keep applying pressure to keep the people in servitude. To "conquer" our weight demons means we have to learn skills, apply them to deal with the issues at hand (weight loss, fitness, healthy diet), and then keep coming back to make those fine tweaks and adjustments - or maybe even walk some of the same old path again. "Success" therefore means you have to keep on doing what you know works.

Keep trying and you are a success.

Niyah- Your blood is worth bottling! That really resonated with me!

Be kind to yourself as well as to others.
Respect yourself. Refuse to berate, put-down or belittle yourself.
Forgive yourself. Accept the fact that you are not perfect.
Choose to move forward instead of remaining stuck in the past or replaying a mistake you made over and over again in your mind.

‘You chose the action, you chose the consequence..’
I think of this every time I feel like reaching for something fattening.. If I chose fattening food...i am choosing to be remain fat...

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

Maria Robinson.

If food isn't part of the problem, it's not going to be part of the solution

(When life is throwing you lemons, and you want to squash the feelings with food)

“Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be”

George Sheehan.(American physician, author and running enthusiast, 1918 - 1993)

When you are "down", the only way out is "up".

It's good to know that at the bottom of the cycle, the ball always bounces back up again. The mind doesn't remain in turmoil forever - it will choose to resolve the situation and reintroduce calm. Yesterday is gone - let it float away into the past. Tomorrow is a new day full of new possibilities that we can hope for. Today is the day we can work to reintroduce calming order into our lives. This is the 24 hours we have to deal with now. Let's deal with these hours from dawn to sunset by choosing to introduce peace, quiet and calm back into our lives, and order and health to our bodies with careful nutrition choices.

Don't be concerned with being considered a "talker," rather than a "doer" if you make many 'false starts.'
There is no such thing as a false start if you are seriously committed to advancement & achieving your goals.
Keep moving forward & never look back!

You can explore the universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself,
and you will not find that person anywhere.
