"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence"

"Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me; I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend."
Albert Camus, French novelist, essayist & playwright, 1957 Nobel prize for Literature, 1913-1960.

"Always Do Your Best.
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.
Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret."
Miguel Angel Ruiz

“Keep your dreams alive.
Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication.
Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”

May your day be filled with sunshine.

“Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves.”

James Matthew Barrie(Scottish Dramatist and Novelist best known as the creator of Peter Pan, 1860-1937)

“To be a star, you must shine your own light,
follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness,
for that is when the stars shine brightest”
This one is for shine, who is coming forward & starting to shine.

The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them,
or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable.
Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way,
and who will be sharing the adventure with them.

“Passion is a positive obsession.
Obsession is a negative passion.”
Paul Carvel
(Belgian Writer and Editor, b.1964)
Try not to replace one obsession with another. It is best to deal with the emotional reasons for obsessing than to just change your obsession. Beware the pitfalls of obsessing about becoming really thin. Be aware if you are aiming to go below the recommended healthy GW that you will be treading on thin ice. If you feel yourself having these tendencies & thoughts seek help. Being seriously underweight is not attractive & is life threatening.
Low self-esteem led most of us to become over-weight. It can also lead us the other way unless we learn how to truly love ourselves. Seeing a counsellor can be very beneficial. It helped me immensely to put everything into perspective and I recommend it to anyone that has problems with lack of self-esteem or obsessions.

A positive attitude brings strength, energy and initiative.
Affirm the positive, visualize the positive and expect the positive, and your life will change accordingly.

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle.
~ John Quincy Adams

Learning to love yourself (part 1)-
Fall in love with yourself. Think about what makes you You.
Just like a flower that needs watering to grow, learn to nurture yourself in every way.
Love yourself for all the good that you see and accept your flaws and the fact that you are imperfect.
This does not mean that you do not learn to change from your shortcomings;
instead, you are being gentle and kind to yourself for all your flaws.
Look in the mirror and fall in love with the reflection that is You.

“To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance.”
Oscar Wilde (Irish Poet, Novelist, Dramatist and Critic, 1854-1900)

Learning to love yourself (part 2)
Eliminate Self Criticism.
Do you often berate yourself over the tiniest thing?
Is there a little voice inside your head that often tells you that you are no good
because you are stupid or make mistakes.
If you find that you criticise yourself often, make an effort to stop the self criticism.

“I CAN is 100 times more important than IQ.”

Learning to love yourself (part 3)
Let Go Of Worry.
Loving yourself requires you to let go of your worry. It is a horrible way to live a life filled with constant worrying. I can attest to that! Worry does not help in any way. It cannot, on its own, make things happen. Only wise actions can! So instead of worrying, spend time thinking about what you can do to help in the situation. If the situation is beyond your control, then ask the Universe (or your god) for your desired outcome and let things work out on their own. Things will come to be, if they are meant to be.

“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will.”
~ Epictetus (Greek philosopher associated with the Stoics, AD 55-c.135)
