Gratz on your combo, Hikari!
So, do you not like fruits or veggies, or don't want to be "bothered"? You're really selling yourself short by not eating them (forget the challenge!). They are packed with vitamins and minerals and antioxidants!
-1 cup raw
-1/2 cup cooked
-3/4 cup vegetable juice
and fruit:
-1 medium raw apple, banana, orange
-1/2 cup chopped, cooked or canned fruit
-3/4 cup fruit juice
I love salads and eat alot of them, my portion usually counting for 2 servings of veggies, and usually have a cooked veggie with dinner like broccoli. Toss in a fruit and that's 4 servings for the day, TAh Dah!(general guildines say to eat 5 though).
Eating them in their natural state is best, but lots of food items contain fruits and veggies-jello, yogurt, cottage cheese, all fruit popsicles, frozen entrees . . just peak at the label, you may be getting alittle in anyway?! Juices are way to get in the servings too but be careful, they are usually concentrated in calories!
