I'm having a hard time getting motivated- was sad and still tired from yesterday, but about to hop on the NT and THEN will weigh myself.

bmohearn- the points comment was a reply to mom2's question. I haven't updated anyones totals yet but hope to get a chance to do so later in the week.

Hey Yarm, just wanted to let you know that I will be out until Sat. with no internet access at all! I'm going to TN with my youngest son. I will try to get in my water. I know I won't have any exercise tomorrow - but Wed. and Thurs. (walking and hiking), then Fri. zilch again (ride back home.)

Well, I had a good enough week, I'm not frieneds with my scale atm though, it's being mean. managed to get 3 points for the fruit challange, yaay! :p Didn't get a 0 at least.
I did about... 390 minutes of working out last week.

And I got a 2030 combo on DDR yesterday! Yaaay me~ Concentration on max I tell ya. lol

And I also have the water chalange in a bag. Yaaaay~ ....I'm not going to get the bonus for the fruits though, because I've already missed yesterday. lol

Hope everyone is doing alright.
 
My boyfriend just went out and bought me a HUGE watermelon, so I have plenty of fruit for the challenge. And veggies aren't ever a problem. Water is easy for me too. I make sure to drink at least 64 ounces of water per day.
 
I love watermelon! and its so low cal!

So far the challenge has been doable. Altho, this week I have not been "gung ho" about all the exercise- not sure whats going on with that. The journaling, veggies and fluids have not been too hard for me, more or less motivates me to make sure I remember to get that fruit in, etc.

So far for the challenge only a 3lbs loss total, but a loss is a loss. My next goal is to get into the 160's.

How is everyone else doing?

blah blah and blah here I totally went down hill today, got my fruit and veggies and water in plus about a million calories--ok maybe only 10,000 LOL anyway you get picture and NO excercise, so far a big fat 1 day since friday.

I'm so tired right now.... but I know why... I had this brilliant idea that I should try and walk to my mom's place today, I was gonna back a b-day cake for her because her b-day is tomorrow. So I pack my backpack and set of.

And it took me 3 hours to walk to her place. lol it was like a 9,3 mile walk so..... yeah.... :rolleyes: But I didn't give up! I can be so stubborn when I want to. lol.
So now my feet hurts like crazy, and I'm stiff in my shoulders and back. I'll be crippled tomorrow. I'm glad I did it though. Because I proved to myself that I can do stuff even though it's tough work.

Well. That's my little ramble for today.

Thats awesome that you did that! My moms place is just 4 miles away and I have never even thought about walking there! I do live in a high traffic part of Atlanta, GA though.. lol Congrats on your long walk!!
 
Been pretty quiet here folks! I too, have been busy- I have yet to update my stats, but overall have done well this week, but yesterday maybe not so much. Yesterday was my youngest's Holy Communion so I was out of routine: eat too much, no exercise and not enough water. I was horrible, but it may effect my weigh in- at least I'll know why.

I'll post this week's challenge later today- I have church and then am going to the humane society to adopt a couple of guinea pigs for my girls.

We are animal lovers here. And I wanted to clarify that I'm not getting them FOR my girls- but they will be in their room. I am a firm subscriber to the belief that no animal should be a "present". We have actually done quite a bit of research about guinea pigs, understanding that they are not as simple to keep as our hamster(s) in the past, and that this is a 5+yr commitment. I just got back from Petsmart and picked up all the supplies for the mom/daughter pair.

Week 5 challenge

Time to build some muscle mass! per the MayoClinic:
Regular aerobic exercise, such as walking daily for 30 minutes or more, is an excellent way to burn calories. Strength training exercises, such as weight training, also are important because they help counteract muscle loss associated with aging. And since muscle tissue burns more calories, muscle mass is a key factor in weight loss

For WEEK 5 Challenge is do 2 strength training sessions this week. The sessions should be a min of 20 minutes. They can be former workouts on gym equipment, or home style doing pushups, leg lifts, crunches, etc.

Give yourself +5 points for doing 2 strength training sessions this week
Give yourself +5 points for Week1 build on bonus if you journal you food intake
Give yourself +5 points for Week2 build on bonus for adding 45min of exercise on top of the minimum of 90min
Give yourself +5 points for Week3 build on bonus for eating 4 veggies/fruits each day for the entire week
Give yourself +5 points for Week4 build on bonus for drinking 50oz of fluids everyday this week

For a maximum of 25 points bonus points
 
hi all, just popping in to say a bit hectic here lately. Still trying to stay on wagon, right now its just with one foot but alas I have not jumped off. Next week starting anew!

Just updated my stats- no weight loss, but I was not expecting to see a loss either. Didn't have the best week myself. It wasnt a week where I did alot of things wrong, but I was unfocused and in a blah mood for the most part. Good news is that I woke up this morning after a little chat withmyself last night, and am ready to get on track !
 
mom2- Thank you. :) I'm really trying my best. And this challange is really helping me to stay motivated.

And I really need to stay motivated because I'm going to a wedding in the middle of agust this year. One of my best friends are getting married, and I soooo want to wear a dress and not look like a bloated whale. :rolleyes:

I've really liked this challange thus far, but I almost died yetsrday as I did the first strenght training session. My thighs are KILLING me. lol

I have just been so busy I have not had time to get on here an post! I haven't lost any weight and did not keep up with the challenge this week in any respect.. No weight loss, no water, no journaling everyday, I did get exercise points in but informally by moving and packing all week!

My mom has moved and left an entire house full of stuff for me to clean out by myself. It has to be done by next Tuesday and it is still loaded with stuff! She has moved far and cannot come back to do the rest so it is left for me to do alone! I am having a garage sale today to see what I can get outta there! I will be back up to speed by next week hopefully when all of this is done.. It is just too stressful right now
 
glad to see ya still hanging around ladies.

I started off with an ubber healthy morning a VERY healthy new breakfast pooridge green tea and ran 4 miles.......sadly I am enduring a fair bit of stress myself right now and it went down hill from there LOL, ok tomorrow then!
