Nice, nice! great job Matt. 5 pounds in a week. :sifone:

I'm fighting it at work today. Somebody brought in a big box of Italian pastries and doughnuts. :ack2: I could easily eat half the box. Oh, and no one is touching them much, so they are sitting out staring at me. :cuss:

One thing that is working for me is that I weighed in this morning at 204.2, so if I am really good this weekend, under 200 is doable this month. :cheers2:

Howdy folks, long time no see! I've had some computer issues and haven't been online consistently for quite some time. Made it hard to track calories since I use online programs. So I didn't...arg! Anyway, I did write down my weight for the past few weeks, so I'll start with my Sept 1st weigh in and my goals for the month in red (now that I can keep track again I should be able to meet these!). I'm still trying to keep my loss at 2 pounds a week.

Sept 1: 192.2
Sept 8: 189.8 (190.2)
Sept 15: (188.2)
Sept 22: (186.2)
Sept 29: (184.2)

Glad to be back guys!

Hey Madness I was wondering where you went.

Trops, I have been fighting down over eating the last couple of weeks. To me it was a fake high last week. So this next week will really see what is happening.

I'm thinking the same for me, Matt. I think a "true" weight for me on Monday should have been somewhere around 206-207. Still hitting it strong, though. I'm hoping to hit 203 by Monday. Will it happen? We'll see.

3 pounds down this week!! So excited because that puts me at...

200.4

Half a pound until I am in ONDERLAND!! I have not seen one-derland since high school. I am so so so excited.

Unfortunately, stress and anxiety is not the best and most reliable form of weightloss. I don't recommend it. I look forward to getting back into regular eating and exercising habits instead of feeling nauseous from stress and anxiety all the time.

Monday! There is a lot to be said to having a mid week weigh in, but I figure that Monday is my highest day, so that's why I do it.

Sept 1: 208.4
Sept 8: 209.2
Sept 15: 205.4

It was not as good as I had hoped, especially since I was a pound lower on Thursday. This gives me two weeks to get another 5.4 pounds gone. I think I can do it.

Sep 1: 175.0 (21.9)
Sep 8: 174.5 (21.5)
Sep 15: 171.7 (21.1)

All in all, a good weigh-in especially since I wasn't as good as I planned on being. Yesterday and today are on track and I'm planning on keeping it that way. SOOO close to my original goal.

One and a half pounds from goal! That's really great. :hurray:

What's the plan from there? Maintenance for a while? Muscle building? Training for the half marathon?

The goal is to get down to 10-12% body fat. So it'll still be nose-to-the-grindstone for a while. I'm hoping to be there by the year's end. I haven't checked the numbers to see how reasonable that is, but go big or go home, right?

Once I get there I'll be hitting the gym pretty hard, increasing my food in order to build and see how that goes. I'd like '09 to be the first year (in my adult life) that I can go to a beach and feel good about how I look.

Way to go Brad!

And Trops, are you seriously complaining about losing 3 pounds in 2 weeks? At least you didn't gain! Look at the bright side man!

I was WAY low on Saturday due to dehydration and I always bounce back pretty high because I eat salty foods and drink TONS of water to counter that. And for once, the dehydration was due to sweating too much and not to drinking! :p

Sept 1: 192.2
Sept 8: 189.8 (190.2)
Sept 15: 188.7 (188.2)
Sept 22: (186.2)
Sept 29: (184.2)

So only 0.5 pounds off from my goal. Not bad if I can seriously keep this up!

Oh, Madness, I wasn't complaining at all. Sorry if it came off like that. I'm just trying to kick my ass into a higher gear. I'm actually very glad to be to where I said I would be this time last week. This time next week I'm hoping to have an new low. :smash:

I knew you weren't complaining too much! But sometimes I beat myself up for "only losing a pound" when I could easily have gained 2 pounds. After my surgery, I gained almost 3 pounds a week for a month. And that was REAL fat, not just water weight. So losing anything is a HUGE step in the right direction.

But I know what you mean. I'm trying to kick it in high gear too since I maintained for almost 6 weeks. No loss at all! But it could have been far, far worse...

Well, I seriously tanked this week. Despite adding more exercise than usual on the weekend, My diet was crap. Up 3 lbs. Don't see that it is likely to hit my goal for September, but one never knows. I will be taking it seriously now...

Up three pounds from Friday or from last Monday? All the salt from your football snacks will easily add three or more pounds.

I didn't really set myself a target of how much to lose...as long as I lose, I'm happy. *lol*

So far I've lost 7.3 lbs since Sept. 1st...oh, and I managed to resist all those fast food places while I was in Manchester with my Mom...I'm a McD junkie, and just walking past there and not caving in made me so proud of myself....stupid, isn't it? *lol*
