Thurs the 4th

Karen Voight's Core Essentials Pilates - the whole workout, abs too!
AND yesterday, ate nothing bad...I didn't even get around to my afternoon fruit (apple) snack!
 
Friday the 5th

40 minutes on the bike.
No overeating on Thursday......
Oh, and I saw the podiatrist - if the pain persists, HE'LL SHAVE PART OF THE BONE AWAAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Sunday the 7th
Cindy Crawford's Shape your Body with Radu, Workout #2, with full ab section, and feeling just fine!

Monday Jan. 8th
Bike for 40 minutes in the AM

NOW - SOME THOUGHTS -

I know that I pretty much just report my exercising and how I feel, but I see everyone else adds "the personal touch" so I may as well, too; and if anyone is reading this and comments, more the better.

A good few months ago, maybe even as year ago, I saw a nice infomercial for the Urban Rebounder. Small chuckle - all informercials look good, right?

Anyway, I like my recumbant bike as you all know - what's bad about sitting comfortably and watching movies?

My podiatrist says that the pedaling action isn't the best nd that I should really do more of a variety of cardio workouts.

I let it go - now I have a bunion thing, and I'm thinking about what he said, again..........coupled with that, a friend is sponsoring a complete Urban Rebounding system in a local charity's Chinese Auction.

So, for $5, I'm totally IN ..........what the future holds, I can't be responsbile for .........
 
That's why I'm doing impact training on the treadmill now - all my cardio has been non-impact on the stationary bike and elliptical. It's taking some getting used to. Good luck with the auction. :)
 
I know there are other exercises, but I don't want to do them; like my dr says swimming is good – but I’m not going to get my face we, no siree !!! And walking I do all the time; I live in the city and don't drive.

So, I'm gonna see about the U.R -

I was thinking about making Monday AM yoga/pilates, and then U.R. in the evening.

If I do:

Sun - AM weights, PM bike if I don't walk a lot, or U.R. if I didn't do the bike the PM before
Mon - AM yoga/pilates, PM U.R. or bike
Tues - weights
Wed - bike
Thur - weights
Fri - bike
Sat - deps if i get out and walk a lot; prob bike or U.R. depending on Sunday's schedule

So far the abs Sunday & thursday haven't killed me ......
 
Do you wear high heels a lot NY? I'm always afraid of having foot problems later on. But I could never NOT wear stilletos! LOL.

My only non heeled shoes are my gym shoes (about 4 pair) and two pairs of uggs for lounging around LOL, oh yeah and the obligatory flip flops for summer LOL (for around the house)....there's always my slippers, those don't have heels on them either :p
 
No - don't much sweat, and no, don't wear heels - broke ankle at age 18 and toe a few years later, and those dreams/hopes were gone forever for me.

I jsut want to wear nice flats, not old lady shoes !!!!!
 
Flats are in right now anyway. There are tons of cute ones around. I was just wondering what your foot problem was (just being nosy:p ).
 
those flats ballet type shoes actually not good for your feet, unless it has insoles with support. I hope your feet recover soon & dont have to go thru the procedure... sounds scary ; ;
 
Oh, sure. You can WebMd it. Apprently many big toes bones do not jive correctly with todahy's active lifestyles and shoes!

Sure I wear orthotics and have for 10 years! Syre I wear flats and take care to wear proper exercise shoes!

Just one of those those things, I guess . . . (podiatrist said the bone shaving is "not big deal", that he does it "all the time" and I could be out of sneakers in three weeks' time . . )

Tues the 9th

Cory Everson's Get Hard Arm and Should workout. Then I went to Conway and bought two of the most gi-normous and heavy amounts of nuts, shampoo, etc., on a "moving" sale. I barely made it back to the office - had to rest 6 times!!!!! - and my arms and shoulders are killing me!

It'll take four trips to get everything home by subway . . .

40 minutes on the bike. And my shoulders are killing me like no tomorrow from all the bag shlepping,and I have two more to get hom!
