LiveFromNY's Exercise Log

Stingo, thansk for asking...I feel fine with the once a wee. I said that in Jan 07 I'll go back to more...I have to decide if it's going to be 2 or three times a week......

Prob two is good to start.

Tues the 12th

Karen Voight's 40 minute Core Essential Pilates, no ab section. Walking, though.

Yup, I'd agree - 2 is just fine since you don't want to rush things and reinjure yourself especially because it seems like it's taking a long time to heal.

Just out of curiosity, do you do yoga as part of your regular routine? You don't mention doing any stretching pre or post workout so was wondering if maybe that'd help?

Stingo, prior to the stomach spraining, I did weight training every other day, interspersed with yoga/pilates. I did the bike alternating evenings.

Now that I am recovering, I have split the weights and bike in the am.

I hope to go back to it...but truth be told, yoga/pilates weren't my favorite workouts!

Stingo, I'm naturally horribly flexible and even after many months of yoga, I just didn't think I was getting anywhere with it. (And, truth be told, sitting on the bike and watching movies is a lot more fun!)

Friday the 15th
40 minutes on the bike

Sunday the 17th
Karen Voight's Core Essential Pilates - the whole workout (abs too), 10 lb weights.

Monday the 18th
40 minutes on the bke

Man, the bike!!
I used to use that everyday when I lived with my Mom.

You're doing great with your workouts. I'm inspired.

[that's one of the reasons I started this journal. I read other peoples workouts, and it makes me wanna workout more!!]

Tues the 19th
Cindy Crawford's 2nd workout in Shape Your Body, 40 minutes but no ab work.
Went to an engagement party and ate a piece of cake and a cooky. And that's it!

I'm not sure I understand the question, Derwyddon.

Thursday the 21st

Corey Everson's 30 minute Arm and shoulder workout, Get Hard.
We had the office party yesterday at lunch, and i ate most of the box of fried chicken and half the fries, but didn't have any dinner....

I think what Derwyddon meant was that your fitness program uses primarily DVDs, which seems to be uncommon. What had you choose that option?

uh...........................

I guess it all started back in 1991 when dd turned 2 and i decided to go back to exercising; i took gym classes for about 2 years until a car nearly ran me over. the very next day, i ordered a bike, a vcr, and tapes to do at home.

is that what you mean?
