LiveFromNY's Exercise Log

Tues the 26th
Moaned about my side hurting. A good amount of walking and no bad things to eat!

Wed the 27th
Karen Voight's Streamlined Fitness; skipped the ab section. So far I feel okay.

Thursday the 28th

Did 40 minutes or so on the bike in the AM.

For a while, maybe like a month? I'm going to alternate AM workouts - weights (skipping the ab sections) and bike.

Thurs the 5th

Approx 40 minutes on the bike in the AM. Forgot to weigh myself, but have been kind of busy to seek out any treats for a long time.....

LiveFromNY,
Just curious, how long ago was it when you first started exercising and getting into fitness?
You have done such a great job!

Thank you, Codi.

I danced ballet until I was 16 and decided I wanted to run track. In college I did aerobics when it was first big....then fast forward until the birth of my second, when I started doing high impact step aerobic every day, then blew out my knees.

I was always thin as a child, teenager, and young lady. Either 98 lbs or 102 lbs....

I took a break as the pain was so bad it would wake me up at night. After a year of physcial therapy, I was happy just to get my groceries home from the store and keep up with my active life and kids!

Postpregnancy, I was about 118 lbs then. (5 lbs from each baby, and ......)

When I turned forty, I got a wakeup call in the form of being diagnosed with a thyroid problem and and told to lose weight. That was 2004. I went from 137 to about 110.

I did it with workout videos every Am, and bike or walking at night. On Sundays, double.

I lost the weight in about 5 mos. Life was good. That was 2005.

This summer, we bought an apt and moved. I kept up my schedule and promptly sprained my stomach. It's been a hard road to recover and I'm not there yet.........

Maybe by Turkey Day, though.

Monday Oct 9th

The rest of the free world is having Columbus Day; I did Karen Voight's Core Essentials Pilates with no ab section, took about 30 minutes.

Wed the 11th

Karen Voight's one hour long Streamline Fitness.

Skipped the 12 minute abs section, did the cool down and stretches on fast forward...

So it only took me about 40 minutes.

Oh, and I oinked a couple of cookies, too..........

Also, a good 45 minute brisk walk during lunch.

Friday the 13th

DH didn't feel well and slept late so no weight video for me....doubtful if I can squeeze it in later.

He claims he's "also going to exercise" as the weather cools off; I have been hearing that for YEARS now ..........

Monday the 16th

Did Kari Anderson's 30 minute Tone It Up, with 10 lb weights. Skipping the abs section.

My own weight is holding steady, about 116 lbs.

How's your midsection doing?
