Lift, Train, Fitness

All photos of yourself when you hate having your picture taken are the worst! Good to hear your knee is feeling better but I hate the days when I feel like crap without knowing what triggered it.

tracking down the cause is harder when I am not sure if it was my food or cross contamination from something that another family prepared in the kitchen, did hubby or son use a knife for the butter after using it on his bread before I used a fresh knife to put butter from the same block on some safe food ?????

Todays training

This afternoons activities was not exactly active, went into town with son 3 to pick up his new custom build gaming computer which will make all the other devices in the house look like dinosaurs lol

also finally the parts for my car have arrived and will have it all fixed at the end of next week, It has already cost a small fortune to fix a few problems they found last service that I did not want to become big problems later on but had to wait for an ABS sensor and a new actuator for my front passenger window which currently cannot be wound up.

Still need to get AC re gassed and a couple of tyres are starting to get close to needing to be replaced.

Parts for diesels can be expensive but it is super efficient for highway driving with adequate grunt for towing. our other car that hubby drives is a hybrid which is better for the in town driving he does.

nope, I am from a family of mechanics and can do some work on small motors but the cars get worked on by a mechanic in town, however I do have enough knowledge to not get taken advantage of, and one of the mechanics in the workshop is the son of a friend and if he ever tried to pull some of the shit that unscrupulous mechanics do my friend would have a lot to say about it lol. I also don't have the tools or motivation to work on modern cars.

It's always good to know more than people expect you to. I hear the same thing about modern cars from even my former-mechanic patients.

Not much happening, trying to get into a new routine after changing the days little miss is at childcare ready for the start of the Uni year.

woke up to the sounds of chirping
Peafowl chicks have begun to hatch, one is out and walking around the incubator and I can see one of the other eggs has pipped, not sure about the others.

Hi, Tru. That's great to hear about the peachicks. When will they go out into a pen? Do you have a separate one for them?

Chick/s will stay in the incubator for a couple of days (hopefully they will all hatch but peas have a low hatch rate) Then they will go into a brooder box under a heat lamp for 4-6 weeks before being moved to something larger without a heat lamp.

Little miss was very excited when she saw the first chick this morning and her childcare has asked for photos and ongoing progress pics to be e-mailed to them because the kids love this sort of thing. Baby animals are often brought in to the centre by the kids as most are farm kids and learning about different animals is important.

Power is out today, generater is running the fridge, incubator and the satelite dish for internet. Another egg is starting to hatch. It is steaming hot, using big battery powered fan. No water unless I find another extension cable to run the pump. No phone and no mobile signal, however no mobile is normal.

I am using my phone via satelite to log in. Hopefully the mechanic will phone hubby when car is fixed today so he can message me.

I can't even imagine power outages that last longer than 10 minutes these days. You really do live in another world in some ways! Fingers crossed things will get fixed soon.
