Lift, Train, Fitness

Training withe the help of little miss, nothing heavy or complex on the days she is in the gym with me because little miss likes to do all the exercises and rearrange the equipment

She’s such a cutie!

Son 3 has agreed to do a water cut and get a bodybuilding tan during this semester so I can do a photo shoot for my portfolio for Uni, however he has suggested that he gets a Mankini for it :leaving:

Not much happening today, very humid outside, light training in the gym, having the big fan with the battery pack helps keep a good air flow where I want it. Chipped one garden bed while it was overcast but as soon as the sun shone through it was time to seek out the air con.

Spent some time reading studies, but none relevant to most members here.

Checked Pea eggs in incubator, so far so good, all fertile and still living (no blood rings and air sacs developing correctly)

Was wondering this morning where you might have got to; good to see you posting. I moan about the lack of airconditioning in the gym in our summer: in your climate I don´t even want to think about it!

Sometime I log in just to clean up spam, most of my days are very much the same most days, either in the gym or farm stuff either with or without little miss "helping" and next month back to Uni.

as a side note I learned a new technique yesterday for getting a subject to contract their abs to photograph them better.

Cool, care to share? I don't photograph people but I am always looking for new ways to get people to be aware of their muscles.

In a photography tutorial after getting the subject to flex, they were asked to cough and hold which caused the ab flex to intensify and appear more defined. I tried it on son 3 who happened to be walking through the house shirtless and it did definitely make the definition much more visible and far more ab activation than a voluntary flex. the model in the tutorial and my son both have ab definition without flexing but for good pics the stronger the flex the better.

That makes a lot of sense and might be a useful cue for pelvic floor awareness as well. So many people can only tense muscles when you give them something to push against.

Was that missing man up your way for real, do you think Tru. 18 days in that heat, without water?

he was found by our state MP next to the MPs dam, the man claimed to have been eating mushrooms and drinking dam water. his dog he went missing with has yet to be found which is a bit suspicious. On the TV report the bloke sounded a bit mentally slow and there was no mention of his dog. he looked in remarkable good condition for essentially being without food for 2 weeks. A friend lives near where he went missing and there is not much in the way of edible mushrooms but a few that will have you hallucinating.

I think there is more to the story than I have seen in the local discussions and on national media.

Finished my morning hike, opted for a longer trail, it has some longer hills offering more of a cardio challenge whilst avoiding the treacherous small slopes that I found difficult for my knee.

I have gotten a little out habit for posting my training in more detail

Temp: 29 C Humidity: swimming

Warmup: Bike and lights set before each exercise

4 Sets of 6 for each

Deficit Deadlift (bar below feet)
SLD
Seated row
Lat pulldown
reverse flies
Palloff press
TRX pistol squat super set TRX row
Bow Pulls and Snow Angels on foam roller. (rehab exercises)
Diaphragmatic Breathing Exercises (very important to learn and practice)

feeling out of sorts today, slept in due to taking an antihistamine last night, I am still not sure what I ate this time to trigger a reaction. I always feel bad the day after a reaction.

My Obliques are a bit tender this morning as are my hamstrings, all good considering how important core stability is for lifting and how important it is for me to keep my muscles in balance for my knee health, as I am prone to being quad dominant and need to pay particular attention to my hamstrings.

Knee is feeling good and working with unilateral exercises help to make sure I am not favouring one leg.

Took a selfie for my Powerlifting coach ID that I need to renew in the next few days (will get my paperwork witnessed tonight at the Gym in town)
ID photos are the worst lol
