Lost 3 pounds this week!!! Down 23 pounds and am at 212! ahhhh! I got on 3 more times to make sure that I was not dreaming! :willy_nilly:

Funny you mention Omega's diary. I've actually been wanting to read it. I've seen her posts around the forum and saw her ticker recently and was blown away. How long is she on vacation for? At least now I'll be able to catch up on reading her stuff! Thanks for the heads up :)

I think she was planning on being gone for like a month. Maybe a bit less.
I expect her to be popping back in on us anyday now.

I found you and added you! Thanks! Oh and the Kashi pizzas are soo good. I love Kashi. I actually just joined their website so that I can get coupons and keep up with what they are coming out with next. They even have recipes on there that use their ingredients. Very cool. Everything tastes so fresh and healthy. It's not overly salty and bland like every other frozen thing I've tried out there.

Thank you so much for asking about me. I haven't really thought about how I'm doing because I'm just so focused on this weight loss. It's basically ALL I think about and most of what I talk about. So, how am I doing? hmm. I'm trying to fight the sadness of not being with my husband. It's really starting to wear on me that I don't get to see him but an hour a day...if that. And in that hour he has to eat, bathe, and undwind from his crazy busy schedule. I don't get to share anything with him because I don't want to add to his load. I'm even afraid to tell him that I miss him in fear that I'm going to make him feel bad. He is such a hard worker and I don't want to put a damper on him. I know I've talked about this before but it's just really hard on me because I've been holding it all in. *****I wrote ^that and then my hubby woke up to go to work. As he was getting ready to go I hugged him for a long time and cried. I feel much better now and he said that he understood why I was sad and that I didn't have to be sorry for sharing that with him. Weather permitting, we are going on a movie date on Saturday to see, Burn After Reading. Looks like a cute movie. I know I will really enjoy the time with him. That is if Ike doesn't come to get us. When there's a hurricane in the Gulf usually he has to stay at the station even if it's his day off. He just left for a 12 hour shift from midnight to noon tomorrow. Good thing the university is closed due to the weather or else he would of had to miss his classes.
Anyway, other than all of that I'm doing pretty good. We went to Chris' brother's house today to say goodbye to him. He's leaving to go to Iraq for a year. I hope it wasn't the last time that we see him. He has a wife and two little girls to come home to. This has always been a dream of his to go and it will really set them up financially for the future. My hope is that he will be safe.
Tomorrow I'm going to have Ladies Night with a few of my gal pals! (Again, weather permitting...) We are going to go see "The Women" and then go to a coffee shop and chit chat. We are trying to all get together once a month without the kids and so far this will be our second sucessful attempt. We have to plan around all of our hubbies being able to watch our kids, so sometimes it's hard to make it work. My mom is going to watch Erik tomorrow, so it's all good : ) Can't wait and hope that hurricane Ike doesn't mess up my plans for the weekend! grr.
Thanks for asking about how I'm doing!

Kristi, you are such an amazing person. It comes right through the computer and I just want to tell you that you are one of my fav people on here...I so wish I lived closer. Cuz I'd come by when you're down and we'd go get coffee or something and I'd cheer you up. Seriously I bet all your r/l friends are glad to have you. Glad you're having a girls night out and keeping busy while missing hubby and I'm also glad you talked to him.

Ya know something that might make you feel better is some little projects for him when you have time. I used to do that when I went all week without seeing my hubby and I'd leave stuff for him like in the car and stuff that he'd find later. Either notes, cards, sometimes just something thoughtful like a snack cuz I'd know he wasn't gonna be getting enough food. Not a replacement for the time you're missing but it helped me feel better so maybe would work for you too. Like he opens his school book and there's a note :) Bet he'd love that.

Anyway I'm SO excited for you how well you're doing :) I say it all the time but you are kicking so much butt in the weight loss department. Talk to you laterz, Lisa

Kristi-
3 lbs today is kick ass. You are doing so well and keep it up!!!!:hurray:

I also read some of your other posts and WOW i thought my life was stressful. I know it can be tough but you'll be ok. The hurricane season is almost over. Ike left you guys alone so that was a good thing. Not that it's good for TX but you just had one.

Hope you enjoy your date on Saturday, those nights are the best.

Lisa, This was soooo sweet of you. I might be reading this several times! You're a wonderful person and if we lived closer I would love to hang out with you! :)

I love the little note idea for Chris. I used to do that and so did he, but I guess we've forgotten about doing that. I def. want to start that up again. It's so romantic! I used to find little notes in my drawers and hidden around the house. I bet if I started it up again, he would too!! :beating:

:iagree::iagree:

With what she said!!!!

Kristi, I hope you are out of harms way...

Hey Matt and Karl, thanks for the concern. Ike isn't headed toward us directly but we are getting some of it's furry. Last night we had 50 mph. winds with 75 mph. gusts, tornadic activity and wer'e in a tropical storm. On my way into to town yesterday my car felt like it was going to blow over while driving. I really was afraid for my life and was thinking, WHAT AM I DOING DRIVING IN THIS...ON PURPOSE?!?! Hey, it was a long week and I was desperate for some adult interaction without children! Anyway, we lost power at about 4 this morning but thankfully it came back on half an hour later. Some of my family still waiting to get theirs back on. I reeeeeally hope we don't lose ours again. My biggest concern though, is our large oak falling on our house. I can't wait for this to be over. Thanks everyone for the thoughts, prayer, and concern.

Good luck

Hi there

This is my first time joining an online forum as well. I think you will find the support that you need. I hope so too.

Good luck and keep on smiling

Ladies night! ...and some pictures of Thursday and Friday

This morning was so refreshing. Chris and I actually got to go to sleep at the same time last night and wake up together. We got to sleep in, which was really nice too. My mom slept over last night(she was watching Erik since Chris had some guy friends over to hang out and I went to my Ladies Night) Then he cooked us a brunch this morning, which was reallly good. He normally doesn't have to work on Saturdays but since Ike is in the Gulf he had to leave around noon and should be back around 3 this morning. We don't get our date tonight :( but at least we had a really great morning.

Well Ladies Night was a blast! We went and saw "The Women" It was really cute! Meg Ryan's hair was almost distracting because it was sooooo gorgeous. There was not ONE man in the cast or even in the background or anything! I think it's a remake of a 1930s movie. I want to see if I can find it and watch it. After we went to CC's coffee and stayed a couple of hours catching up with each other. Well, I do have to mention that I did not have one piece of popcorn...I just so happend to be sitting next to the friend that got popcorn, candy and a coke....ahhh! It smelled sooo good, but was able to turn it down when she offered to share. I did get a whole wheat bagel and light cream cheese (and a little thing of orange marmelade) and juice at CC's since I hadn't eaten dinner. I know that CC's bagels aren't exactly low calorie but I kept my calories to about 600 total for bfast and lunch so that I could keep my options open for the night. When I met up at my friend's house, she and another friend that was already there, got all teary eyed and said how much they could tell that I'm losing. We all cried and hugged. It was so emotional to see my friends excited for me and cheering me on.

Here's some pics of us at the theater.

Here are some of me and Chris (and Erik in the backseat)on Thursday night on the way to his brother's going away party.

Thank you so much Wahula! I look forward to your journal when you get it going. You're going to do great!

Keep it up...

You are doing so great. I've been reading your posts and you are awesome!!! There are so many great people on here to learn and be encouraged from and you're one of them, so thank you for your dedication.

OMG. :cheers2: You left me in the dust. HA! You are doing great. I can't wait to be where you are. If feels like it is just taking so long but I know I'll get there. Keep it up!

Hey girlie! Sorry I have been MIA, but I'm back and more motivated than ever. Boy, let me tell you, though... skipping just a couple of days and I was back to my old bad gross yucky habits just as fast as nobody's business. And the thing was, I truly thought I was SO MOTIVATED! I didn't think anything could affect me. (And then it did...) So, for one thing, I know I am an emotional eater, and for another thing, I know that that is not the lifestyle I want to lead.

Ok, that's enough of that. I am so proud of you!!! You are an inspiration to me, cuz you have obviously been dealing with some bad stuff as well. 23 pounds down is just AWESOME!!! And now you are at 212 so I have some major catching up to do. I haven't even been on the scale in the last 2 weeks cuz I KNOW that I have gained. I can feel it in the way my clothes are fitting. But don't you worry... I will try my best to catch up and then we can begin our race to the skinny line again.

Have a great day!!!

Hey everyone! I am getting ready to hit the sack, but just wanted to say thanks for all the encouragement!! It really means a lot to me to have the support on here that I have and I hope that I can give the same. Y'all all really mean a lot to me!!!! I'll reply tomorrow when I get the chance.

My meals today were not all the great. I didn't count calories and did not plan anything out and so here's what I ate: :reddevil:

Breakfast: nada

Lunch: leftover meat pie, and garlic and onion string beans. I'd give the recipe except it's not exactly a healthy meal! (I did eat a small portion) 1 % milk

Dinner: Wheat bread with light pb and banana and butter on one side(i was at my inlaws and haven't had butter in about 3 months...it was a splurge!) A lot of grapes, 7 cheese cubes, 7 multi grain crackers. 2 % milk.

Exercise: 7 miles on the exercise bike (my MIL's) (23 minutes @ 17-27 mph)

You Rock Kristi-San :flame:

Can tell you Ladies had a fantabulous nite out. I saw The Women Sunday am...didn't like it.
