Thank you all for the warm welcomes!! I'm happy to be back and I'm looking forward to supporting y'all on your journeys as well :)

I wish I could say that joining this forum again automatically kicked me out of my month long habits of overeating and choosing the unhealthy stuff in my house, but it didn't. I don't know why I thought it would be a magic overnight solution. However, I have started making some positive changes in the right direction, so I'll choose to focus on that.

•Sunday and today I had healthy breakfasts.
•I skipped out on a few sweets that I could have given into.
•I've been drinking more water.

Update on my food journal:
Sunday
Breakfast: oatmeal, scrambled egg, clementine,
Lunch: I knew we'd be eating out, so I was going to get a salad wherever we went, but then my husband suggested Chinese and I caved. I went way overboard and felt guilty the rest of the day.
Dinner: few bites of red beans & rice w Sausage, saltine crackers, clementine, water

Today: 5/8/17 219 lbs (down .4 lbs from yesterday)
Breakfast: whole wheat pita (Joseph's) 2 T natural pb, handful of blueberries, decaf coffee with stevia and sugar free creamer
Lunch: randomly munched on saltine crackers, almonds, fig cake, apple slices, and then had a bowl of spaghetti, 2 pieces of white bread with margarine, water
Snack (2nd lunch?) : another bowl of spaghetti and 2 slices of white bread with margarine, water
Dinner: ... Yet another bowl of spaghetti (smaller serving) peas, corn, triscuit thin crisps, diet green tea and a white Reese's mini pb cup.

Prenatal vitamin, 2 tsp of Natural Calm magnesium, and lots of water throughout the day

Totally could have done better by not eating all that bread & butter and also not having so much spaghetti! Here's to a healthier & more active day tomorrow. :)

Welcome back!!! :party::party::party:
Congratulations on the pregnancy - and the good sense to come back when you felt yourself slipping back to old habits.
Here's to a healthy pregnancy which you weather by not so much losing weight as keeping a control of the natural gains. :cheers2:

I ate a lot of food today. I want to work on portion control tomorrow. I don't think I'm supposed to up calories until my last trimester, which is a long ways away!
I also want to incorporate an exercise into my day tomorrow. I've been so tired, but I feel like if I push through it will actually give me more energy. I'm going to try out something light, but active. Maybe bike riding or walking.

Hi Kristi and welcome back :) Congratulations on your pregnancy! I can't speak from experience but I do see how much food people push on pregnant folks long before they need the extra nutrition and I suppose the same instinct/urge plays in the pregnant person as well. Best of luck with your pregnancy and with making loads of healthy choices to give your baby a great start.

I can't believe it's been 11 yrs since I started this journal...and that it's still here...and that somehow I always manage to remember my password, even when years go by since logging in I've been on and off the keto diet for 3 yrs, but I'm getting bored with it. I'm contemplating going back to calorie counting & exercise. I'll take another day to think about it, and if I do decide to change things up, I plan to journal my food, exercise, and progress in here.

After I had my baby girl in Nov of 2017, I put on about 20 lbs by Apr 2018, so I'll go with that weight as my highest recent weight (highest overall was around 250 over a decade ago).

Starting weight: 238.6 (April 2017)
Current weight: 209- 212 (back to pre-preg weight)
Mini Goal 1: 208
Mini Goal 2: 199
Mini Goal 3: 195
Mini Goal 4: 189
Mini Goal 5: 185
Super Happy Goal: 150
Ultimate Goal - 135

I've been bouncing between 209 & 214 for a month. This morning I was 212 (Thurs May 9)

(Fri May 10th...late post, past midnight)
I weighed in this morning at 211.4
Down a lb. from yesterday

I said yesterday that I would wait a day to decide before switching from keto to calorie counting/exercise, but I just went for it bc I'm ready for a change. If it doesn't work well for me, then I'll just adjust accordingly :) It's a journey, right? I need to grocery shop, so it's like a bottom of the pantry & fridge kind of day! I normally won't be drinking whole milk and eating white pasta and bread & margerine I'm still feeling guilty about those choices and also really full from dinner. I'm curious what the scale is going to do tomorrow, even with calories not being too high. I'm not used to all these carbs so I might put on a little water weight at first. We'll see!

But here's my food journal
Total calories today: 1556
Exercise: 30 min yard work (worked up a good sweat!) MFP says I burned 206 calories. I need to get out my Fitbit and start using that again now that I'll be exercising daily.

(441 calories) Brunch:
1egg & 1 slice ham on a whole wheat tortilla w 1 T low fat cream cheese & 1 tsp sugar free raspberry jam. 1 packet oatmeal cooked with blueberries, stevia, and half C whole milk

(143) Snack: 8 small baby carrots, 5 whole wheat round crackers, 1.5 T garden vegetable cream cheese

(770) Dinner: Half C spaghetti + 1 C spaghetti meat sauce w parmesan. Whole roasted green bell pepper & baby carrots. White bread with half T light margerine.

(195) Snack: half cup jello pudding (mix made with whole milk) + 2 T sugar free whipped cream

When you´re ready, you´re ready, and it´s best to just start! And starting out with an empty fridge is great because it means you get to fill it with great stuff that´ll help you with your goals. I agree you´ll probably go up a few pounds of water weight at first coming back from keto. But you know it, so I´m sure you can cope.

Total calories for today: 1442
Exercise: 10 min of a Low Impact HIIT workout (Lean Justine youtube video)

Up a lb, but same weight as the day before yesterday.. 212.4 lbs. I woke up feeling lighter and good, and then my stomach hurt & wasn't hungry until around 3, so I waited to eat. My body must be adjusting to the diet change. I did do a big grocery shop this morning, and bought stuff to make a soup and some healthy meals for this week. I had planned to make a turkey pita pocket when I did finally get hungry this afternoon, but ate leftover spaghetti instead. I'm not feeling as guilty as yesterday, but I'm not sure of that's good or bad! For dinner, I just ate snacks...almonds, blueberries, mozzarella string cheese, a crunchy oatmeal cookie..and chocolate pudding with sugar free whipped cream ‍♀️

I enjoyed the workout. Its 10 min, but it's meant to be done 2 more times. I'll work my way up to that :)
