Same here! I'm glad to be back again. I'll head over there later and look (lurk) around :troll:

I liked it so much that I moved in! I'll be back here to visit once in awhile, but it looks like I found myself a new home. :auto:

I haven't talked to you in forever. I'm back. lol I was just checking in to see if your ever get on here anymore.

Hey! I was actually going to write to you this week. You have re-motivated me. I got on here last week to re-read my old stuff and when I went on your page to see that you have been going strong, I was so excited!! I saw your progress pics...um....amazing! Go you! I moved over to anotherdietforum .com ...a little spin off from this site. It's small but intimate.

I am about to take my measurements and that's why I got on here. I wanted to find my measurements before I got pregnant (My baby turns 1 tomorrow!) to compare them with what I am now. Dun Dun DUN. A little scared.... but ready to throw myself back into this with all the gusto that I used to have. Ready set GO!

Thanks for stopping by. And thanks for sticking with it. You are doing so great!

I understand I didn't even check this site for over 6 months. Just 2 months ago I decided to get back on track when I was 190lbs. I was stuck at 190 for a long time...always seems to happen around summer lol maybe its the jeans & long sleeve shirts I end up wearing...and the fact that I do go swimming in public. It's hard to get that 240lb body image out of your head even when your smaller.

I'll check out that forum! WOW your baby is a year already..Thats crazy I swear you just were preggo. lol thanks for sharing & stopping by my journal!

Good Luck hun! I'll be checking in on ya : D

Tuesday 6-1-10

My daughter's first birthday party was on Saturday and turned out to be a success! Fun was had by all. We had a slip n slide, kiddie pool, and lots of water guns to go around.

And I cooked enough food to feed an army. :p It might as well have been Thanksgiving around here! On the menu: Corn soufflé, Southern style green beans, boudin, rice dressing, homemade mac and cheese, 2 honey hams (one slow cooked and one cold from the fridge) rolls and the fixin's (mayo, mustard, pickles, cheese), hot dogs and chili, veggies and dip, animal crackers and a gazillion little pink cupcakes! I'll post a few pics from the party in a bit.

The day after the party I almost didn't get on the scale b/c I was afraid of the damage... and strangely enough I lost a pound! So, Sunday's weigh in was 209.

I guess the real damage was done yesterday (Memorial Day)... I took the kids to my dad's to go swimming. My dad BBQed and I brought the leftovers that I didn't already freeze and I munched all day long. This morning I was at 211.5. Rah! Well, what's done is done...time to move on. I did see a picture of myself on my dad's fridge from exactly two years ago when I weighed 235. It was Memorial Day 2008 and that was the day that I decided to quit ignoring my weight and to face it that I was fat and needed to do something about it! I'm not close to my goal weight but at least I've lost 25 lbs. since that day :)

Weight: 211.5

Breakfast: 2 eggs; half whole wheat sandwich round(50 calories); 1 wedge light laughing cow cheese; diet green tea

The following is due to Excuse #874: Not much in the house except leftovers from the party and have not gone grocery shopping since.

Snack: 1 serving triscuits, ham, 1 slice havarti, 2 small plums; diet green tea

Lunch: 2 rolls, half piece of boudin, half serving of light vanilla yogurt, 1 small plum, diet green tea.

Dinner: nothing yet. I feel gross. Hopefully I'll find something healthy around here and I'll be motivated enough to get some exercise in. My house is a wreck and I'm feeling yucky today. To be continued....

(Tue. 6/8/10) FOOD/WEIGHT:

Today's weight= 209

Breakfast: 1 small pink lady apple, triscuits, cheddar cheese, 1 C. milk (half c. 1% half c. 2 %)

Lunch: Amy's Organic Split Pea soup, 1 slice colby jack cheese, tricuits, 3 oreo cookies, 2 % milk

Dinner: Brown rice, roast, steamed peas; milk to drink

....I started out with a decent portion (1/3 C. brown rice, 1/3 C. peas, small piece of roast and a spoon of gravy) and then I went for 2nds and then 3rds...and didn't measure anything :( And I ate 2 pieces of bread with it. I also probably had 4 or 5 C. of milk along the way. Booooo!

Exercise: Rode 7 miles on my recumbent bike for 30 minutes. I was dragging b/c I usually make it to 10 miles easily if I'm on there for half an hour.

Wednesday 6/9/10
I reaped the consequences of my 3rd helping of dinner last night. Weight= 213.5 I wasn't surprised at all. Another big downfall was my milk consumption and it's possibly also water weight from the soup and roast/gravy (I seasoned them both with cajun seasoning...high salt content). Tomorrow I am starting calorie counting. I have made a habit of the food journaling and now it's time to get serious.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Wrote that ^^^ this morning (this was all written yesterday 6-9-10)and then decided not to wait until tomorrow to get serious. I got on my recumbent bike and rode. And rode and rode and rode. And rode some more. I rode 46 freakin' miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me 169 minutes and 3 seconds. I started at 12:30 p.m. and finished at 4:30 p.m. I took a few stretch breaks, fed my daughter at one point (surprisingly she entertained herself for 2 hours), took 2 pee breaks, a water refill....etc. But for the most part I rode straight through. I cried when I was finished, not from exhaustion, but because there was something really emotional about pushing my limits like that.

On September 23, 2008, right before I found out I was pregnant, I rode the farthest that I ever had on the bike--32 miles. I did that in 97 min. 33 sec. Today when I reached 32 miles I was at 115 min. 25 sec. So I was a little slower but I definitely paced myself better this time. I think my average was 16 mph this time around. I was mostly either going 21-26 mph and above (a few times i hit the mid 30s) and then to rest I would drop it down to about 10 mph.

Right now I feel like I met an athlete inside of me that's been dying to come out. I may not look like an athlete but today I feel like one.

I caught up on some episodes of Biggest Loser on Hulu while I rode the bike. Watching Bob can get me through just about anything!! :loves:

I am on episode 12 and still don't know who the winner is so if anyone reading this knows, please don't give it away!! :)

After 100 minutes the timer restarted so add a 1 in front of my time!!!

Written on Saturday:

I am still recuperating from that ride! I came down with a head cold and I'm not sure if the two are related but I haven't done a whole lot of exercise since then.

Exercise: 5 miles/20 minutes I didn't exert myself but I didn't want to skip another day so I just went pretty slow. I plan on going a few more miles this evening.

Oh...and I'm just not talking about what number I saw on the scale this morning. Last night= overindulgence.:blue:

Last night my hubby, C, picked up 15 lbs. of boiled crawfish, with potatoes and corn, and we had his sis over for dinner. When it comes to boiled crawfish I have no control. Anyone else get all crazy like that around certain foods? The same goes for chinese food. It's like walking into a death trap! Anyway, I ate 5 lbs of crawfish (this is weighed before they are peeled and everything), 1 sm. potato, sm. corn on the cob, a gazillion crackers--35 to be exact...420 calories in JUST crackers....yeah, I'd say I over did it :( , and fattening dip for the crawfish...mayo, ketchup and seasoning. BLAH! I thought I was dying of salt poisoning when I woke up this morning! Then I almost died of sadness getting on the scale.

I tried to make up for poisoning myself by eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies today. Though I did feel like a bottomless pit all day after overdoing it so badly last night. Gotta shrink my stomach back to normal!!!

Food:

Breakfast: 1 Clementine (small orange); half C. 2% cottage cheese; 1/2 C. blueberries; 100 calorie whole wheat sandwich round; 1 T. natural PB; diet green tea with lemon
(I made a pb and blueberry sandwich and used the rest of the blueberries in my cottage cheese)

Lunch: 100 calorie whole wheat sandwich round; sprouts blend (broccoli, clover, and mustard sprouts); sliced homegrown tomato (mmmm); 1 wedge light laughing cow french onion cheese; ham; diet green tea w/ lemon

Snack ?: small roll with ham; mozzarella stick; and grapes

Dinner: Grilled Fajita chicken patty; 100 calorie whole wheat sandwich round w/ light laughing cow swiss cheese; sprouts blend; thick slice of homegrown tomato; ketchup; steamed summer veggies; diet green tea w/ lemon

Dinner was great. The burgers were made with ground chicken, cumin, oregano, chili powder, cajun seasoning, lime juice, finely chopped and pre-sautéed mushrooms and onions in olive oil, then browned in a cast iron skillet and then baked in the oven for 15-20 min. on 350

The veggies were in one of those microwavable steamer bags and included: squash, green beans, carrots, onions, red peppers. I just mixed those with some of the leftover seasoned onions and mushrooms.

I'll post a pic later.... :)

Here are the pics as promised..... The first one is of the crawfish that I overindulged in. And the other two are of the chicken fajita burgers.

Today 6-14-10
Weight: 207.5. Time to update the ticker. I love moving my little dragonfly closer to the goal. :)

Yesterday we celebrated C's sister's 23rd b-day and my MIL made shrimp fettuccine, garlic bread, and lots of cupcakes and cake. I filled my plate with raw veggies (baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers) and when I served my plate I put about 5 or 6 shrimp and a few noodles (and cut them up really small), skipped out on the bread and ate realllllly really slow. I was very satisfied and didn't want seconds or even desert! yay! After dinner I put Ivy in the stroller and strolled around the backyard for about 20 minutes. Toward the very end of the night I did cave and had half a glass of champagne and a tiny dark chocolate cupcake.

I just finished lunch and am about to hop on my bike and catch up on some more BL.

(146) Breakfast: 1 Clementine-35; half serving of triscuit thin crisps (7 crackers)61; low fat mozzarella stick- 50 water to drink

(500) Lunch: whole wheat sandwich round (100); 5 grape tomatoes(10); 1/2 C. sprouts(5); 1/2 C. cooked shrimp (104); 2 T. ketchup; = Shrimp sandwich......; 1/2 C. 2% cottage cheese (90); 1/4 c. Blueberries (41); water to drink...........ended up eating a few bites of my son's fettuccine alfredo noodles when he was finished...gotta stop that!(120) Water to drink

I got lazy with the calorie counting at dinner time. The boy I babysit, (J), has been w/ his family for 2 weeks on vacation and came back today so it was kind of hectic around dinner time.... 3 hungry kids can kind of make you feel like you work in the restaurant business....

Dinner: 100 calorie whole wheat sandwich round (100); 1 wedge light laughing cow french onion cheese(35); 1/2 C. Sprouts(5); 5 grape tomatoes(10); 1/2 C. steamed squash and zucchini w/ pinch of salt(?)

Got hungry again a little later so I ate 1/2 C. leftover shrimp fettuccine and a small cupcake (red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting  )---I KNEW I should not have brought leftovers home yesterday!!! I told myself that they would be for everyone but me and that I was not allowed to touch the fettuccine or the sweets. Hmph.

My calories were low anyway so I guess that worked out in the end.

Exercise: 45 minutes, 23 seconds/ 12 miles on recumbent bike.

Awesome! You ARE still over here! I thought you were only on that other forum and that you'd left entirely because I was looking for you under your old forum tag. Did you get the PM I sent? Anyway I started back here beginning of June but missed ya since looks like you've not posted since 6/14. Hope to see you soon on here :)

Hi Lisa :)

I wish I could come back in here and have it be like it was 2 years ago. It's just that it's gotten so big with almost 7,000 members and I feel lost in a big open sea.

I do want to keep on supporting you and checking in here once in awhile but as for posting in this diary--it'll probably be few and far between. I miss the way things were!! But you are doing great and I'm so happy for you that you are enjoying it and making GREAT progress! I will see you around! :driving:

Wow, it's been a while since I've been in here! It was bittersweet browsing through, as it was such a different time in my life when I was writing in here. The last 2 years have been a time of major readjustments to being a single mom and going through a very long separation and divorce process.

I'd like to start writing in here again, so just a quick update:

Highest Weight ~ 235-240ish (May 2008)
Last recorded weight in WLF ~ 207.5 (June 2010)
Today's weight ~ 192 (May 2013)

Next mini-goal ~ 187
Long term goal ~ 135

Hopefully I can write more tonight and read through other journals to see what everyone else is up to in the weight-loss fitness world :)

Welcome back Kristi! Nice to see that despite the long layoff and what have obviously been some tough times, you've still managed to lose a few pounds since two years ago.

Keep us up to date on your progress.

Hi Kristi, first of all, I'm sorry you've had such rought times lately. I hope it all gets better for you. I'm a new-er member here so we've never met, but I do love seeing long time WLFers come back. Looking forward to getting to know you and seeing your progress. :)

I'm back....again! It's been 9 years since I began this journal and 4 years since I've updated.

I got remarried 3 years ago, and my husband and I started trying for a baby last year, and here I am 9 weeks pregnant! :)

I am mainly here to keep myself accountable with healthy eating and exercise bc over the last month I have let myself go, eating whatever and rapidly gaining weight. So here it goes....

When I tested positive for my pregnancy on Apr 1st, I weighed 211. This morning I was up to 219.4 :(

The good news is, I know how to take control of this with healthy eating & exercise! I'll write back later with what I ate today. I'm looking forward to checking out other journals. I'm sure it'd be nothing short of a miracle to find any of my old weight loss buddies still on here, but even if I do, I hope to make some news ones as well.

5/7/17 Food/Exercise journal entry
(219.4 lbs)

Breakfast
(365 calories•
48 carbs ~ 13 fat ~ 14 protein)

1 egg
1/2 tsp coconut oil
1 packet of Apple cinnamon oatmeal
1/2 cup whole milk
Satsuma orange
