I'm up to 214.5 :(

Gotta do something before all that hard work last summer goes down the drain!!!!!!!

I'll be back on here tonight to post my food journal from today. Has anybody been watching Biggest Loser on NBC? Great motivator!! I can't wait to watch it tomorrow night.

Kristi!!!

I hope you're back to stay, we miss you!!! :hug2:

Dude! You are doing amazing!!! 91 lbs. lost?!?! I'm so impressed!!! I am back to stay! I feel that sluggish feeling coming on me and I've got to get back in shape!!!! How are you doing on that bike of yours? I'll head over to your journal in a bit after I post my food/exercise from today. Thanks for the welcome back :hug2:

Gollie, Kristi, it's good to have you back. I was already worried that something had happened to you or the baby. Congratulations on your baby girl. I've strayed off this forum onto another one but I noticed you were here so I had to stop by and say hello. I gained tons of weight during my pregnancy. I'm all the way up to 234 so we aren't even close anymore but I'm back in the game myself and I'm ready to lose all this baby weight. I've already managed to lose 39 pounds of the 53 pounds I gained. Now that you are back, I'll be glad to be checking in with you. I had a little boy in June. He was born on my daughter's 4th birthday. How weird....anyway, we named him Ryan Mathias and we call him Mathias. He's gorgeous and I'm so in love. I finally got my little boy and you have your pair. How lucky we are. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and I hope you stay in touch. I'll be checking in on you. Take care.

Englan

I'm so glad that you are still on here. My fear was that I would come back and all my people would be gone!! We can do this!!! 39 pounds is insanely awesome!!! Great work. I'm sure you've lost even more since this post. Congrats on your baby boy! :D

I feel like I really am getting back on track. I already feel better about myself--long way to go but it's happening. :) Last week I was 217.5, yesterday I was 214.5 and this morning I was 213...as long as the scale keeps going in this direction, I'm going to be just fine!

(395) Breakfast: 2 whole grain blueberry waffles(180), 1 T. natural PB (105), 1 C. 1% milk (110)

3 large glasses of water (during and after working out)

(425)Lunch: (chicken sandwich~ 1.5 chicken legs (no skin, wiped off the bbq sauce)(150), 2 slices of wheat bread (140); 1/2 cup of vegetarian no fat baked beans (130), 1 glass of diet green tea (Community, sweetened with honey, lemon, and splenda) (5)

(175)Snack: 1/2 toasted wheat pita (70), light laughing cow cream cheese wedge (35), 1/4 C. Blueberries (20), 3 triscuits (50) Large Ice Water

(325) Dinner: Kashi Pesto Pasta Primavera (290), 1 light laughing cow cheese (35), Water with lemon (0)

(133) Snack: Half sandwich~ 1 slice wheat bread (70), 1/2 T. natural PB (53), 2 sliced up strawberries (10), Water with Lemon (0)

Total Daily Calories: 1453 (I could have sworn I got more calories in than that.)

Exercise: 20 minute cardio and strength workout video (Level 1 of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred) BUSTED MY BUTT! I'm still sore and probably still will be tomorrow!

I sure do eat a lot of cheese and pb throughout the day! It's in small amounts and is high in protien, so I think I'm okay with this as long as I keep the portions small. I can't find my dumbbell weights anywhere! I'm going to have to 'undergo a diligent search for them' this week. I used a galon of milk and a gallon of tea during my workout today. My two year old son really thought I was strange. I had the windows open so I wonder if any neighbors saw!! hahaha!! I'm going to pull my treadmill out of my closet and just keep it in my bedroom for now until I have some more room in the living room. Ramble, ramble, ramble...

Ramble away smiley! Nothing wrong with a milk jug as a DB. Full its an 8 lb dumbbell. Good enough for al kinds of work outs.

Treadmill? Say it ain't so! Not the bike? hmm... not sure how I feel about that...

My bike broke  The part on the bike that changes the resistance broke off and the screen was cracked and didn't work anymore. My hubby deemed it worthless and threw it out without me knowing! Ah well. My MIL lives about 10 min. from me, so I'll just use hers now and then until I get a new one. I'll let you know when I do, and IT...IS...ON!!!!

Hi Kristi!
Glad to see that you are back. I thought for sure you were a goner. haha
I kinda strayed away over the summer for the very same reason that you feared coming back. All your friends being gone.
I can pop in from time to time now seeing's how your back.
My weight went up from my low of 184. :( I am currently hovering around 207ish. I actually almost got back up to my "beginning" weight!!! So since August I have lost about 15 pounds. Now if I could just keep going in the right direction. I seem to have good days and bad days. And of course days in between!
If your on Facebook PM me and I will send you info to look me up over there. I am on that much more than anything else anymore.
So glad your back!
Dawn

Thought this was an interesting read:

There's about six pages but it's a quick read.

Ugh. Bad habits are hard to break. I got out of the groove...AGAIN and have put on about 10 pounds. The holidays are doing me in. On the bright side- because there is always a bright side- is that I got my very own exercise bike for Christmas!!!!!! It has a big red bow on it. Now I just need to name it...oh, and ride it...haha. I just might make it my profile picture.

I don't have any excuses to be fat anymore...just the truth, which happens to be that I'm just lazy and I love food. Bottom line. I guess I do have some emotional issues going on, as well. Actually, a lot of emotional issues if I'm really going to be honest here. I haven't let myself really process all what's going on in my life right now...it's just too scary. I know that's why I've been overeating and avoiding accountability with my progress, or lack thereof. Maybe when I get brave one day I'll write it all out. Today is not that day. I have to hold it together for my kids and my husband. Maybe after the holidays are over...which is GASP! next week! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. My baby is going to be 7 months old this Saturday! Wow.

Well, I don't know if anyone reads this anymore but I will update when I can. I feel like I should extend an apology to all of my cyber weight-loss buddies out there for being so flaky. I hope this new year brings the motivation that I had when I first started this on-line journey. Oh, how I need it.

First spin on my new bike!

Well, after checking out some journals around here of people that *are* motivated...I jumped on my shiny new bike and rode 12 miles! It's not record numbers, but it's a good jump-start. I'm so glad that there are people on here that are still continuing their journeys...it gives me so much hope.

P.S. This morning the scale read: 220.5

I wasn't going to write that out because right after I had my baby (7 mos. ago) I got down to 201. I'm so ashamed of myself. BUT! I'm not going to dwell on that! I'm going to beat this fat person out of me if it's the last thing I do!!!!!!! :smash:

Here's to hoping that those 12 miles put a dent in those 20 pounds!

Hello you beautiful person! I don't check here as much these days, a lot of people we knew kind of drifted off, I spend more time on my journal here than on wlf, but still check in from time to time.

Hey Karl! I'm definitely going to check out that site and possibly join soon. Maybe that's just what I need...a fresh start. I'm glad that you're still around and workin' hard!!! Very inspirational :)

I'm down a pound! (219.5) I didn't journal my food yesterday but I'm going to keep track of it today. I can do this!

I hope you do, honey! There are a few others from here too, like Dawn and Margaret. I'm just glad you're around. I missed you!

It feels soooo good getting back into healthy living again. I truly do love counting calories and exercising. It's kind of fun in a way.

I got on the Wii Fit today and did the Hula Hoops/Super Hula Hoops. Every pore on my body was sweating. Great cardio workout. I did a little over 15 minutes of that. On the regular hoops I got 249 hoops and on the Super hoops I got 805. I don't know if that's a lot in comparission to others but I seriously can't see myself moving my hips faster than I did on those last rounds!!! I'll have to google what other people are getting on their scores to challenge myself. Anyone out there reading this who plays Wii Fit...just let me know if you want to do a challenge with me! Also, I made a delicious low calorie Mexican style chicken soup for lunch today. I got the recipe from Fitness Magazine in their new Jan '10 issue.

(389)Breakfast: 1 egg (54); 1 slice cheddar cheese (80); 2 pieces of wheat toast (140); 1 T. light butter (land of lakes spreadable) (I know, I know.); 1/2 Cup 2% milk

(498)Lunch: Homemade Mexican style chicken soup (233); 1/4 Avacado(80); Whole wheat pita toasted (150); Light Laughing Cow cheese wedge (35);Diet Iced Tea with lime

(145)Snack: 1/2 serving of Triscuits Thin Crisps (65); 1/4 Avacado with fresh lime and pinch of salt (80)

(605) Dinner: Kashi-Chicken pasta pomodoro (280); 1 serving Triscuit thin crisps (130); 1 wedge light laughing cow- original (35); 1/2 avacado w/ fresh lime and pinch salt (160)

Total= 1638

I know it's a little low and I truly was shooting for about 1750, but I'm sooooo FULL and satisfied. I may have a yogurt later if I get hungry.
