:d

Wow, what a huge difference! You look great :D And I took some measurements...around my stomach basically. But I'm so large it's hard to do it myself or make sure I'm doing it in the same place each time. And having my husband help is worse than doing it myself, lol. So there's the issue of accuracy. I guess I should try to do it once but I'm not too worried about it. I'll have other ways of knowing how much weight I lost. As soon as my weight is down enough I can do the measuring myself though I will because I know I may lose inches sometimes and not pounds. Anyway long answer to a short question, sorry, lol. You do have a point though because you look like you lost more than 20lbs and that's a whole lotta inches gone :)

You are doing freaking amazing! Look at what total dedication can do!

:D Aww you guys!! Thanks so much!!!!!! That is such a confidence booster. :D So much that I'm going to take a few more shots and will post them in a little bit. Thank ya'll again! :grouphug:

On top of this, I got my first compliment from a non-family member and someone who has NO idea that I am trying to lose weight. She saw me just a couple of weeks ago, and when she saw me today, she commented on my weight loss and asked me what I've been doing. I told her about this forum and that I've been exercising and watching how many calories I eat. She seemed so amazed and she couldn't stop talking about it! I felt soooooooo gooood! I don't want this to make me feel comfortable as though I've arrived. I still have 70 pounds to go and want to keep going strong and not get lazy. I'm still waiting to get my exercise bike...grrr. They NEVER have it when I go. Even the floor model is gone. I did try out the belly dancing DVD that came in yesterday (Basics and Beyond with Jenna) and loved it so much more than the one on tv. This one goes through a lot more warming up and works a lot on posure and is much easier to follow. Def. recommend it if anyone is looking into getting something like this. Stay tuned for more pictures....

Thanks everyone! I feel so much better this time around at this weight. I feel less flabby than I did about 2 years ago when I weighed 215. Of course that was right after I had a baby, but even my face looks a little better. I'm feeling everything tighten up! What a good feeling.

Okay about my tooth....I went to the dentist very prepared for them to pull it. They took an x-ray of my mouth and said that they wanted to surgically remove two more wisdom teeth....This meaning that they had to reschedule me for TWO weeks later! AHhhh! He did prescribe me pain medication to take 3 xs daily, but still, I'm ready for this thing to be GONE. When he looked at the inside of my mouth with the little mirror he actually said, "ouch" because there is an ulcer where my tooth keeps rubbing against my gums and cheek when I talk or eat or move my mouth. No wonder this is so painful! He said that it looks like someone kept poking a fork in my cheek and gum over and over. This is exactly what it feels like. I'm sure once I start taking the motrin that they prescribed I'll feel a lot better. Thanks for the concern everyone, but looks like I'll have to get nervous ALL over again in two weeks!

Augh!... That sucks (pardon the language). I've been there, I had to have mine removed as a surgical procedure also, because they were impacted.

Nice description by the way... I'm have horrendous visuals from that one...

Only Motrin? I'm surprised they didn't give you Vicodin at least. Although motrin doesn't carry the addictive quality that Vicodin would for a two week stint, so I can understand wh the doc would try to stay away from it.

Good luck!!

Day 70 9-8-08

My mouth doesn't hurt too too bad for the moment. I swiped some of my son's "baby orajel" and my whole mouth is numb now.

(450)Breakfast: whole wheat pita(150), wedge of light cream cheese(35), banana(50), 1 tbl. natural peanut butter(105), 1 c. tangerine/orange juice (110)

(?)Lunch: Ate out with my mom at an italian restaurant: salad with lettuce, ham, cheese, ranch. garlic bread and one slice of cheeseless veggie thin crust pizza

(510)Dinner: leftover spaghetti (300), baked asparagus with garlic and parmesan(100), 1 c. of milk(110)

(170)Snack: Half of a whole wheat pita(75), 1 wedge of light cream cheese(35), 1 tbl. honey(60)

Exercise: Barely any! (12 push-ups) My son is sleeping at my mom-in-law's house and so I've been catching up on computer stuff. Speaking of....I made a new myspace account (I have 3 now!haha) anyway, not sure if any of you have one but if you do, you should add me!

Ow Kristi :( Mouth pain is the worst! Glad the orajel is working though...wish you could get in sooner. If that stops working though and the motrin doesn't help I like excedrin. I think the fact its a combination of aspirin, tylenol AND caffeine it seems to work when nothing else does. Everyone's body is different though for sure so the motrin might do the trick for you. I still have my wisdom teeth too...all of them :X

Wow, that sounds like a pretty tasty combination of stuff!!

I'm going to have to start getting more creative with recipes. By adding new flavors, it should keep things interesting.

We're moving from our apartment in a very busy area and moving into our first home on a peaceful dead end street It's still in the same town and not far away but the difference I'm sure is going to be amazing...and yay I can do gardening again

Kristi
Are you going to have to head out of the way of Ike?
I am concerned for you guys down there. Just seems like when you do get hurricanes you keep getting this 1-2 punch thing.
Stay safe!
Way to go on the food. YUMMY! :drool5:
I need to do some twisting around on my menus as well.
Though I can't twist them to much.
Or else the kids won't eat them.
Did get them to eat Baked Salmon the other night. Ds kept asking what we were having. He has it in head to think that he doesn't like fish, so I told him we were having ocean chicken.
He bought it hook, line and sinker! LOL
