Jaclyn's diary

Dinner:
1 veggie riblet
1 Sweet potato with a few sprays of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
1 cup mixed veggies-baby carrots, sugar snap peas and cauliflower in a lowfat butter sauce

Dessert:
1 Smart Ones Sundae cone

I've noticed that you ate a Smart Ones sundae cone. Are they any good? Do they come in different flavors? And, if so, which do you like the best? Are these made by WW?
I'm looking for some "acceptable" dessert choices.
Totallyscrappy

Hey, Totallyscrappy, yeah, the Smart Ones cones are really good. The ones I have have vanilla ice cream with some chocolate chips on the top of them and each one is in a sugar cones. I like them a lot. They are made by Weight Watchers. These particular ones are 130 calories each. I don't know about different flavored cones, but I do know that Smart Ones makes a whole bunch of different kinds of dessert. They have a cheesecake, different ice cream bars and cups, different kinds of individual pies. Definitely try them, the sundae cones are my favorites, but the others are good too.

Oh my god, so I got woken up at six in the morning with the worst heartburn ever. It hurt so bad and it wouldn't go away. I tried drinking water, then I ate a peice of wheat bread to try to settle my stomach and nothing would help. I took two Prilosec OTC that I had gotten in the mail as a sample (for whatever reason I don't know) and saved just in case. It took about an hour for the pain to go away and I was finally able to lay down and go back to bed. Now I have to go to work. So the day begins a second time...

Breakfast:
Egg Beaters
2 Slices Veggie Bacon
Small glass of Orange Juice (low acid!)

Went out with a girl from work for lunch. We went to this barbeque place down the street. I had...

Lunch:
A portobella sandwich, which is a big portabella mushroom, on a grilled bun (white bread unfortunately) with lettuce and this blue cheese vinagerette. I have no idea what the calorie count was, but it was on the "healthy side" menu, so it couldn't be too bad.
Side salad with fork dips of vinagerette.
Diet Coke

Snack:
Diet Coke and a peach

Thanks Jenn, me too!

I was hungry when I got home from work, so I ate my roommate's leftover Thai food, which was just about 1/2 cup cooked veggies and 3 tofu cubes in a sweet and sour sauce, low fat low cal and then I had a whole wheat english muffin with a tablespoon of light cream cheese and a tablespoon of low sugar jam.

Breakfast:
Whole Wheat English muffin with tbsp light cream cheese and tbsp low sugar jam
Banana
1 small cup orange juice

Snack:
Apple slices with peanut butter

Had a bit of a Mexican fiesta. I went to my favorite Mexican place with some friends. I did good in proportion to what I normally eat there, which is a bean burrito, a cheese enchilada, rice, broccoli and cauliflower with queso, a whole bowl of chips with salsa and bean and queso dip, and several glasses of Dr. Pepper. Tonight I had-

Dinner:
1 bean burrito
Plate of broccoli and cauliflower with queso
Diet Pepsi

No chips, diet soda, no rice, and one burrito. I think I did pretty good. It was a bit of a cheat, but nothing compared to what I normally eat, which I can see now was WAY too much.

Dessert:
Smart Ones Sundae cone (I wanted something sweet after the fiesta!)

So there you have it. I feel fine about it though. I know I've been doing really good. I think I've lost a few pounds. I can zip up a pair of pants I haven't been able to wear in awhile. They still don't look good, but I think in a few more weeks they will. At least I can zip them. I need to buy a working scale, because mine's a piece of crap. I also have my ankle doctor appointment this week, so hopefully I can find out how soon I can start really exercising.

Aren't you proud of the changes you've made?!! Look at how well you have changed your eating habits. Your fiesta is a prime example. Great job.

Totallyscrappy
...and I'm with you...you need something sweet and chocolatey after good mexican food!

Haha, that is so ture Totallyscrappy. Chocolate tops off any meal really! But in small portions now.

Breakfast:
Cup of grapes
Egg beaters

I got called into work today, which sucks. Hopefully it will be slow and I can get some homework done, but U2 went onsale yesterday and it might still be crazy from that. Oy. But I'm bringing lots of fruit and good snacks to eat throughout the day.

Snack:
Fat Free Light Yogurt (apple pie flavored!)
1/2 cup blueberries

Lunch:
Salad with spinach, argula, spring mix, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots and a sliced Parmesan Ranch Chik patty with fork dips of honey mustard.
1 fat free pudding

Snack:
1 string cheese and a peach

Lunch:
Lean Cuisine Ravioli with Chunky Tomato Sauce (and some parmesan cheese!)
1 apple
1 fat free pudding
1 Diet cherry 7up

I feel so full. I guess my stomach is getting very used to not holding as much food, which is a good thing. I could have waited to eat the apple later.

Well, by the time I got through drive time traffic I was starving. We had vegetarian tacos!

Dinner:
2 vegetarian tacos, which consisted of two taco shells, seasoned vegetarian burger crumbles, tomatoes, sprinkles of cheese, and a dollop of sour cream and homemade guacamole on each. Yum.
Then I was still hungry, so I had a spoonful more of the veggie taco meat with the topping, sans shell.
