Ran about 5k yesterday, felt good, was on flat ground with some small hills. I also went and checked out my new bike, it ios sweet as, picking it up next Monday, $700 2005 raceline Modoa or soemthing liek that, Sham 101 gear set. I will post a pick soon.

I am scared now

First of all, do I need to stop lifting weights? I pick up my bike on Monday, so that is good timing

Current training is this

Tues free weights at home (i also do this on Thursdays)

Dead lift - 80kg 12/11
Bench - 60kg 10/9
Bent over row - 80 kg 12/11
Shoulder raises (side) 6kg 11/10
DB pull over 22kg 12/12 (need to buy more weights)
Tri ext 16kg 12/12
Bi curl 16 9/5

120 min Soccer game Sundays

Friday arvo kick around

Try and run once a week, lots of hills around here, but did about 5km yesterday.

I can swim, I live in Australia, but It is not currently part of my training program.

What do u think about the distance of this race? Others seem to think I should start with 300m swim, 20km bike and 5km runn (Which I can see is a sprint). I am happy to aim for any of the races on there.

You do not need to stop lifting. You can either ignore what I send or you can incorporate it. But don't stop doing what you're doing because that's what you like to do.

I think it's short but then again, I'm starting to think they are ALL short. I like 300/20/5 but there's no reason why you can't do both. It's not like this training can't be for multiple races. If there's a race you'd rather do instead or a few weeks after the shorter one, we'll just plan for that too.
 
Well we will see how I go, I would love to compete in one. My lifting program is really annoying me, I am way more keen for some sort of body resistance program, or joining a gym

I'm loving the break from any significant volume right now. I think I'll put some miles on my bike this weekend by just going out and having a pleasure ride. I haven't done a ride for pleasure since... ???... ????... I can't remember.
 
I get it on Wednesday now, slight colour difference but that is the make and model.

Excellent. It will do just fine.
