Weight-Loss Halloween Challange: Caspers Countdown

Just checking in. Today I painted a friend's shed - it took us under 4 hrs. Then came home and did 40 min. on the elliptical.

I got in plenty of water, didn't count, but I do know it has been way over my amount since I drank like 3 glasses at lunch. I'm going to drink more too, because I feel thirsty - probably from being out in the sun all day!

Boy I felt like no exercise today. I really had to have a one on one in the morning to get my butt out of bed. I did, and walk/ran/jogged 43 min. Work was really busy and very draining today, my daughter did not take a nap during the day at the babysitters so she was overtired and unbearable.
I still talked myself into doing my night exercises, 35 min. turbo jam and about 13 min running. Now that is over, I am glad I did it, but it was really hard today... I am kind of dreading tomorrow at 5.30 am.

Anyway I drank a ton of water like, 4x 32 oz +some more while exercising.

Hope everybody had a good day and keep on going strong!!! Only two more days till our weigh in and updates!!

That sounds like quite a day Hajni! Good for you!

Today is my weight training day. I decided to switch my routine. I started using the body for life routine. I really hope this will work. The before and after pictures on that website is amazing.

Hey Tenshi,

BFL will really help to tone up and shake up your body to do what you want it to. :) Are you going to eat the way as suggested in BFL? I used to really adhere to the workouts and not so much the way of eating, just cause I didn't want to mess with food six times a day. I know I got much stronger with weightlifting when I did BFL - and toned up quite a bit.

That's great encouragement. I don't plan on adhereing to their diet. My work schedule is too hectic to eat 6 times a day. However I will continue to watch what I eat. I try to stay away from bad food. I'm a big sucker for chocolate and ice cream. For the duration of this Halloween challenge, I've decided to give it up! I'm doing good so far :)
 
Just thought I'd drop by before heading in to work! Knocked out the exercise and water yesterday, and already got the exercise in for today. :newangel:

I am trying to conjure up bad images to associate with chocolate, and then maybe I can stay away from it. I mean it isn't a very pleasing color if you compare it to other things of the same color...if you get my drift. ;)
 
Hi there everyone!!!!

Well Ihave been getting my my excercise...about 60 minutes of walking a day since the challenge started...I dont think i'm posting my stars or pluses correctly but i'll check!

Every one stay motivated..I only acheived the water challenge twice..First on sunday then again yesturday, getting up every hour to use the restroom at work is hilarious...sometimes I'm running!! hahaha

My diet is what I essentially have to work on...What too eat for luncg is my biggest dilema...any ideas? Thanks guys
 
I'm not exactly sure on the * and + either. Maybe somebody could explain it a little bit better?


I did a workout on my total trainer. Got the biceps, triceps, shoulders, and back worked on - 40 min. total. Then, decided to get on the elliptical for 30 min. I don't think the painting did much of anything - even though the calorie calculators totals it up there in the high range.

Water is excellent again. I think I'm already good, but will probably get in another glass before bed.

Good evening folks!

As I understand it, a * represents bonus challenge done and a + represents the exercise challenge done.
(this weeks bonus is the 1/2 weight in water thing)
(exercise bonsus is doing a min of 30 min each day, no more than 6 days)

I have met the water bonus everyday so far, and the exercise bonus everyday but the first day, so my original thread looks like
*, *+, *+, *+, *+ .. (sat, sun, mon, tues, wed) thus far . . and I use a comma to seperate the days.

As far as suggestions for lunch? I usually pack a turkey and cheese sandwhich on whole wheat (no mayo) or have a Weight Watchers frozen entree. I may add a salad, fruit or yogurt with it. And for a snack I like the sugar free chocolate puddings (only 60 cal!).

p.s. I have done the exercise for today but still have about 12 more oz of water to down but I will finish that off in the next hour ;)
 
HI Everyone!!

Vixen, check out my diary for lunch options it might be a little different as I am a vegetarian but I keep track of calories as well as portions. You might get some ideas that would work for you. I pack my lunch every day, usually the night before I already decide the menu so I don't have to think about it in the morning. Ignore the unhealthy options I have on there sometimes LOL

Water is done, exercise is done, one more day before weigh ins.Yeah!!

Got slammed at work today got up at 5:30 for work at 6 and ate no breakfest. Let me tell you this is hard for a 17 year old.

To My "Luck" someone brought in cookies. I had 1-2 ok 4

But I graced it with a salad for lunch

I came home and fell asleep which im trying to stop doing after work. I work at a dog groomers and its GO GO GO there so at least that gets my heart pumping a bit.

Just got back from a walk with the dogs which I have been keeping up with nicely. I think it was before I would say im going for a walk every night no if ands or butts and I would just go once and then stop. But now Im like ok if I dont feel like going or cant I wont and I'll leave that option open for myself but I have been walking for the past week and a half and I havent missed a night.

And Guys I just cant say it enough walking has just been amazing it takes my mind off everything and just lets me get myself together it has calmed me down a lot to get out of the house for an hour at night. Im going to start going in the morning.
 
TGIF CASPERS!!

Well, I'll be leaving in a few hours for a get away weekend with my sister in law. I will have already done the exercise before I leave, and will bring my water bottle(s) with me. (I took the liberty of already marking the + * for friday, as I'm sure to complete, and I'm an honest person)

As I won't be around tomorrow to log in, I weighed myself today ..
Down a pound! I'm happy about it, even though I was hoping for a little more. I have to remember that I had "off days" both sun and mon, and I am weighing in a day early. (Also, I have my "monthly visitor" this week). I am shooting for 1-2 lbs a week, so I can't complain.

Again, as I will be out of town, I won't know what the week 2 bonus is beginning sat, but will be home sunday and will do my best to complete it- whatever if is.

Don't forget to mark your post/thread for the week!!!!!

Just wanted to say that I did a BFL weight workout on my total trainer yesterday, just cause you posted that you were going to do your exercises the BFL way! :D

The funny thing is, I used to be on like a level 17 (on my TT) and now I had to start out a a level 10!!! :eek: The Total Trainer is like the Total Gym, only it didn't cost as much and came with more options! I like it ok for an "in-home' gym.

Sorry I haven't been posting. Water is going down easy. Although I cut down on pop prior to this challenge, I am not drinking any of it now. I don't have the time to drink it with all the water that I need to consume.
I am still walking. My husband and I was supposed to wake up this morning at 5am and go workout at the gym we are joining...but I couldn't do it. We were so tired. Hats off to Hajni and the others who are able to wake up that early. Maybe at some point I will get there. We wanted to go together the first time so we can check it out together and decide if that is where we want to join. After that I will be able to go any time. My husband has limited hours due to work. But, I can't wait to actually work up a big sweat. Great job on the challenge this week. Can't wait to see what is in store for us on Sunday.

I lost 2 lbs!!!! I am in the 150's!!! YAY

This is really depressing. I didn't lose any weight, but instead gained some. It's mainly because this is that time of the month. My body has really bad water retention around that time :( I don't think today's weight in should count!

Ugh! I'm the same as I was last Saturday. :( I am going to go downstairs right now and run my butt off, I'm so mad. I guess it's going to take longer than I want it to. I know it didn't come on over night, but geesh it sure is easier to gain weight than it is to lose it!
