Weight-Loss Halloween Challange: Caspers Countdown

Weight-Loss
I was determined to get my exercise in yesterday, but i got lazy and declared it as a rest day, so I have to exercise all week. It is ok, I am so much better to keep on track on workdays. Go figure. LOL
I am going to edit my original post once a week. I find it easier that way, I have a spreadsheet to keep track of everything.
Have a great Sunday Caspers and keep on drinking your water!!!!
Hajni

Tenish, I too wasnt able to squeeze in exercise today- so its you me me for the rest of the week! 8). Also, dont let this first day discourage ya . . look at it like . . ya got that bad day out of the way, and everything else gets better from here! :D

add me to the list of people who didn't exercise yesterday. I have not been exercising, so does it have to be strenuous or could it just be a brisk walk?

I thought I drank a lot of water until I actually measured it and drank 120 oz yesterday. OH BOY! I feel like I am retaining this water right now. Not peeing to much like I thought I would...maybe it will kick in today.

GL!

Hey Fat2Fit!!
30 min exercise could be a brisk walk. That totally counts!! To me exercising while losing weight is really important. I don't have to cut my calories way too low and it is extremely healthy. I feel more energized and it puts me in a better mood after a hard day at work. Yes, there are days when I have to push myself to do it but I always feel so much better afterwards!!
If you have not been exercising at all, you might want to start slow and ease into it. Start with something you like to do!! I started with walk in the nearby park!!
Keep drinking that water fellow Caspers!!
Hajni

Just stopping in to say hi!

Also to let the team know that Bell is having techincal difficulties as far as this forum goes.

I am going to take the dog for a walk and will be back to post more. Ciao!

Ok Caspers!! Lets all move and do our exercises!!

80 oz down, 71 min. exercise done today.

Hajni

Its almost 9pm and I still have 20 oz to go, but I WILL DO IT- even if it means frequent trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night, LOL Also, I was able to get my exercise in- even if it meant I froze my butt off- I went to my sisters farewell party and got in the UNHEATED pool for a little over an hour. In addition to just playing around, I did some laps, and went of the diving board a few times too- CANNONBALL!

GO GO CASPTERS!

Oh yeah, if your forgetful like me, remember to mark your 1st post under WEEK 1 challenge with the appropriate * and +. I'm too unorganzied and the days would get mixed up if I didnt edit the page daily.

I got my exercise in today! I swam laps for about an hour. I was really tired at the end of the it and my heart was beating so fast. It was worth it! Go team!

I got exercise in. Just enough for the challenge though. I was going to take a long walk outside, but the mosquitoes are horrid right now! It's like they came from nowhere. Well I know where they did come from - we didn't have much rain all summer and then the last 2 weeks - boom - it all came down.
So it was just a 1/2 mile walk round trip - about 16 min. I did jog a little bit of it - cause I was picking on my kiddo. LOL
Then, came home and did 25 rolls with the ab slide thing I've got..10 crunches, 30 modified push-ups (with breaks in between), 10 bicycle crunches, and some stretching.

Water is going good - so far I've downed 89oz. I think that's all I need at the moment, but will get a swig before I go to bed too.

Have a good day tomorrow!

Well I had an awful day I'm going to be honest.

I can NOT handle this water thing, I can't. I'm used to 80 ounces a day and now I'm trying for 130? It makes me feel sick. I'm really sorry if I let you guys down but I'm going to be honest, I will try my heart out every single day but it's a lot more than I'm used to and it really does make me feel sick :( I've talked to my mom who has kept 40 pounds off since I was a baby (I'm 18 now), my aunt who has kept weight off for the same amount of time, and my grandmother who used to be a nurse, and they all say that it isn't even healthy.

I didn't get my exercise- Yesterday I started my strength training for the first time in six years and it killed me, I couldn't move today. I'm going to try working out for atleast an hour tomorrow though to redeem myself and the team. I'm sorry if I let you guys down, but I'm really going to try, I PROMISE!

130 does sound like a lot. And almost like it's way too much!

Don't worry about the exercise today, you get 1 day off. Plus you just have to do your best. I've felt like that when doing a really hard core strength training workout in the past.

Good luck!

I did good today, went for a walk. I do like to exercise and I know I have to find the time. My husband leaves early, comes home late and I have 5 kids 2 of which(the youngests 21 months and 6 months) are very needy lately. It seems like I am on the go..feeding, changing diapers, trying to clean up, play with them. I love it, but it doesn't stop. When I have a break I just want to sit. I guess I need to start making it a point to wake up early.
Water was a little easier today. I have been peeing every 5 minutes it seems. When I get up it looks like I didn't even go. My pee is crystal clear...how is that for hydrated?

Have a great day tomorrow!
Cathy

Wasn't able to access the forum for most of the weekend (computer problems combined with new server for the forum) so could someone please update me on what the bonus was. Also was unable to exercise Saturday or Sunday due to the nature of my job and dh being gone outta town. Will be rectifying that situation tomorrow.

Danielle, I think I can say this for my team-members: we all appreciate your trying but if you can't do it and it makes you feel sick don't do it. Go for your regular 80 oz (which is great by the way). This challenge while it is a challenge it should still be fun right?! It should not be stressfull or make us sick. You are doing great with you water intake as it is..
And we all have a day for no exercising!! And the exercise does not have to be strenious either to the point of feeling you will never want to do it again!! LOL

HI Bella, great to see you worked out the technical difficulties!! The bonus for this week is to drink 1/2 of you body weight in water ozs.
Tammy is going to keep score by coming back to these treads and look at the original post and see the updates weekly. Please edit your original post, she might not look further to the tread for any new info that is not on the original signup copy and paste thing. LOL

Wow Cathy!! Hats down to YOU!! There is no way I could fit exercise in with 5 kids I know that. I only have one and she is a handful at times that I can not do a thing from her!! LOL

Yarmiah, Tenshiblue, SweatPea you are doing great with getting the exercise and water in..Go team!!

Everyone has checked in, but heretic. Anyone know whats going on, or if its just a busy weekend? Looks like we are all off to a great start. Don't worry, as long as you are giving it your best shot! This weeks water challenge is very difficult, considering I think many of the members already are consuming water as part of a healthy diet. LOL I think its a 2 for 1 challenge as all the water also means more exercse: Running To The BATHROOM :rotflmao:I for one am lookin forrward to next week's challenge so I can go back to my 34oz of water a day. Hope you all enjoy your holiday - I'm off to church and then the inlaws are coming over later for burgers and dogs (low fat/no fat of course!)

Not sure how to go back and update an original post. Can you walk me thru it? Also I tried to add sweatpea's casper to my sig line but it only comes up the way you see it. What did I do wrong?
Thanks

Hey Bell, just go to your original post (in the beginning of this thread), then hit the edit button.

Also, you have to put the [url ] tags in the sig line (with no spaces in there, I had to put a space so you could see it.) I can help you with that when you come over. :)

HI Fellow Caspers!!
Since I have a family barbeque to attend to this afternoon, I asked hubby to watch our daughter while I exercise.
I just went downstairs and kicked butt!! Wasn't the intention, but I finished 45 min turbo jam and also ran 3 miles, took me another 40 minutes=total of 85 min exercise for today. Burnt 850 cal. I kind of mixed it up. I did the turbo jam DVD for 15 min, then hopped on the treadmill and did a mile, then back to my turbo jam for another 15 min.. you get the picture!!
Still working on the water.
Have a great day!!
Hajni

Kudos to everyone who's working hard on the water challenge. It is very easy for me to do because all I drink is water. I rarely drink juice either. I don't like filling myself with empty calories. I prefer eating fruits instead. I do try to drink milk so I get my needed calcium.

I used to be a soda girl through and through for several years. I quit drinking soda all together about 5 years ago, and I never went back. Once in a great while, maybe once or twice a month I would have a cup of soda. I drink water day in and day out. It is great for the body! So keep it up guys!

DanielleMarie, don't worry about the water thing. Just do the best you can. Your body will thank you for any little things you do :)
