Weight-Loss Halloween Challange: Caspers Countdown

HI Fellow Caspers!!
Since I have a family barbeque to attend to this afternoon, I asked hubby to watch our daughter while I exercise.
I just went downstairs and kicked butt!! Wasn't the intention, but I finished 45 min turbo jam and also ran 3 miles, took me another 40 minutes=total of 85 min exercise for today. Burnt 850 cal. I kind of mixed it up. I did the turbo jam DVD for 15 min, then hopped on the treadmill and did a mile, then back to my turbo jam for another 15 min.. you get the picture!!
Still working on the water.

Water is going great - thanks to my friend Bell, she suggested the to-go flavors. I used to just down it plain and I can as long as I'm working out or just finishing up a work out. But after that it's hard to down.

So far today, I've had 68, so only 20 more ounces for me to finish off the day.

Now for the down side - out of the last 3 days - I've only exercised officially once. :( Sorry guys. It's just that I'm in "weekend" mode. I will do double time tomorrow!
 
I'm finishing up my water now. I'm pretty proud of myself- as I'm still pretty tired from yesterday and fell asleep after dinner waking up around 7pm. I so wanted to just lounge around but . . I got the girls and the dog and we went for a 30 min walk!
 
Water challange well its a challange hard to keep up expecially at work but pullign through. I was at the gym for an hour yesterday. Im taking the dogs for a walk every night. Its good excercise and it relieves a lot of stress. Again im having problems with an ex and before when I would smulder my pain with food and then feel even worse now im taking it out on the tredmil and at the batting cages. I feel a lot different and its nice to hear people say you look great thats a good kick. No parties for labor day so I didnt have to worry about that. My life style has changed greatly and for once I feel self inspired. :)
 
Hi everyone. I am sorry but I didn't get my exercise in today. I am going to sign up at a gym tomorrow. I do better at a gym than I do at home. They have a childcare area so I hopefully can exercise without interruption. I am getting all my water in fine. It seems though that I am holding on to some of it. I weighed myself and I was 2 pounds up this morning. I didn't do anything different except drink all that water. I hope that it is just temporary. Have a good day tomorrow!

How long have you done turbo jam? I used to do turbo jam religiously every other day. Then after several month of it, my knees started hurting really bad from doing those twisting movements. I finally had to stop. It was an awesome workout though. I loved doing it. Charlene is so much fun. Good luck with your workout :jump:
 
Today900 : Congrats on using exercise as stress relief instead of food!! What a huge accomplishment!! I don't have much stress in my life right now, but I always used food.. ice cream to be exact to feel better!!! Your post was so positive and inspiring!! thanks!!

CAthy: Yes, your body will hold on to some of the water. I think I read it somewhere that generally we all walk around dehydrated and once we really drink what we should drink, our body needs some time to adjust. Congrats on signing up at a gym. Let us know how it went!!!

Tenshiblue: : I just started doing turbo jam not a long time ago, maybe 2-3 weeks. The first couple of times I did it, my knees were absolutely killing me. Then I adjust a little bit on my position and they don't seem to bother me lately, but will see down the line. Hopefully I can keep doing it, the 20 min. one flies by like nothing!!

I scraped myself out of bed this morning at 5.30 am. I was up 5 min. before my alarm clock went off so I think I am getting into the routine. Energy was so-so, I only ran a little bit and just walked fast on an incline. I should be ok food-wise today, at work I always just stick to my pre-planned food.

I've taken one walk to school, and started my water. Will likely take another walk to school to pick up the kids.

Hi all!

Busy day today. Do you think painting a shed for an hour and a 1/2 will count towards exercise? If not, I didn't get any "official" exercise in.
I am doing great with the water challenge though.

I felt thirsty all day long, I ended up drinking 120 oz water. This is little unusual for me though.
Ok, exercise is done, 43 min in the morning on the treadmill, and 26min. boot-camp at night + 18 min running.
Followed my planned food menu also.
Go Caspers!! Let's get losing to win!!!

Well I came down with a cold. I've been blowing my nose all day. By now I look like Rudolf the red nose reindeer. Anyway, I did 35 minute on my elliptical. I would have done more, but I just don't feel up to it today.
 
It is getting so much easier to get the water down. I always drank water, just not THAT much. I went for a walk today. It was good. I want to do more though. I checked into the gym and now I am in the negotiating stages with my husband to see if we can afford it. I hope I don't have a gain this week. I was losing consistently and then I start this challenge and I feel like I will be up this week. I don't want to let my team down. :cry:

Sorry I haven't been on much just been so dang busy!!!
Weekends do me in as I work 12 hour shifts so I don't usually workout. However no matter what I always seem to lose anyway. I think it is because I work in a freezer and my body is trying to keep me warm by burning off extra cals. What do you think?
Wasn't able to work out today as my MIL was coming in so super cleaned the house ALL day!
Does that count as exercise? I was sweating while moving so I think it should count! :D
Did great on the food today but for some reason not so hot on the water. Usually I don't have any probs with the water but was so busy going going going today I just forgot. Did get in 60oz. But that is meesly compared to the 109ozs I should have.
I'll do better tomorrow all around!

Good afternoon Caspers! Just checking in. I got on the Nordik Trak for 30 min, and have already downed one 34oz bottle of water, and working on my 2nd, and its not even lunchtime! It's hard to get up in the morning and exercise, but I feel so much better and more motivated when I do!
 
bad day. Woke up late and then i have to stay home all day with the dogs while workers finish my basement. I ate a lot of cereal. I get borded and I eat I have to break that cycle. But I promise I will break this keep me in your hopes cause i really want to do this I hope this is just an off day. I will be back on track right now
 
Hey guys just checking in too assuring you all that I haven't died lol.

Been maintaining my weight loss so far and have been dealing with a nasty allergy related lingering cough that just won't seem to go away.

Hopefully I can start getting my weight loss going full bore soon to help our team.

I find myself eating too out of boredom when I am home and nothing to do. You know what helps me? Hot tea (even in this hot weather). Just slowly sipping hot tea, fills my stomach and somehow i don't feel the urge to chew on something.
 
Ate out today with the MIL.
Mushroom Burger..........MMMMMMmmmmmm.........Yum yum yum!!!!!!!
Thought it was going to be a Portabella burger but turned out to be a regular 1/4 patty with these absolutley delicious whole 'shrooms on top the meat.
Had then put the mayo and the cheese on the side. When it came down to it all I ate was the 'shrooms, lettuce, tomatoes and a tiny bit of the grilled section of the bun. Oh and 1 french fry that my ds gave me. I'm sure the waitress thought I was a nut because it looked like a 3 yr old had torn apart the sandwich by the time I was done! LOL Oh also had ordered a buttered croissant (sp?) not realizing that it actually came out DRIPPING in butter. Asked the waitress to take mine back and give me a dry one. It was tasty too!!!!
At this point of the day I have had 70oz's of water. Only 39 more to go. Almost peed my pants waiting to pick up my dd at school. hehehe. I had to run into the school just before the bell rang!!
Once I get my new fan together, to help me stay cooler while I am ellipticalling :D I will get my 30 minutes in for the day.
