maybe Im building muscle I was 223.4 last sat. but even with all that exercise I saw the scale rise through out the week 224 226. so could it be muscle im at 222.9 right now but I feel good and look good so what is going on. I wish I knew. Hell muscle would be awsome burning wieght easier but its driving me crazy now.

it could be just normal water fluctuation.. don't worry about it. I am always higher for about 4 days after Sat. weigh in and starts to go down on Thurs-Fri again. And if you feel good the scale is just secondary!! keep on going, you are doing so amazing, we are all proud of you!!

yeah I fluctuate a lot over the week on my scale as well... weighed myself this morning and was a 335.3, after having a nice record of 332.4 on monday.

I don't trust it at all.
 
I dont trust my scale either, Heretic. I know the body fluctuates, but by numbers of pounds in a few short days??? No way. I'm thinking about getting new batteries for it. In the mean time I use my mood and other factors to motivate me as the scale sometimes has the opposite effect.
 
I should find the article, "why the scale lies" and post it here. It definitely does have an impact on us good and bad.
 
thanx guys. I just cant stop weighing myself. Its an addiction i must break. cause it gets me so frustrated when I see that. I tell myself dont touch that scale until sat but sure enough 3 times a day im weighing myself. We need to bring back that weekly challenge from awhile back where we wern't allowed to weigh ourselves.

I think that the week 8 bonus should be all the bonuses put together we have to do all of them That would be a big bang for our last week:jump:

I know I burned some cals last night cuz' I felt like I was doing lots of aerobic moves. What with the arms waving and the hips moving around!
Currently I am .8 down from last week. But TOM is here so we will see what kind of results I can get tomorrow.

You know it! I forgot to weight myself this morning!!! :doh:

I know I burned lots of cals with all that dancin' we did. ;)
 
I already got my exercise in this morning doing 30 minutes on the NT, but also plan to do some floor exercises when I get home. I went out to lunch today and we did chinese- I'm nervous but don't think my choices were too bad. I ordered a hot n sour soup, and a chicken and string bean special. I gave all the fried rice to my sister and shared the chicken/beans with her too. I did however, eat the eggroll, but have counted the calories in my journaling. I plan on eating a light dinner tonight instead of the pizza everyone will be having. (According to my tracker, I have consumed just over 1000 calories today and have about 600 more avail.)

So far the scale looks good for me. I am praying it stays(or maybe even lower:jump:). Tomorrow will be the first Saturday that I will actually be able to exercise. Today I had my best workout. I did 5.5 miles on the eliptical. I really think this cahllenge has kept me on track. Yeah for challenges.

went to my sisters 21 b-day party at a mexican place don pablos did very good. I had one little piece of chicken qua. and a torrtilla soup. Not much at all. They baught butter cake for the party (a dieters worst nightmare) I had one bite off my sisters piece and was satisfied. So I had a good sensible dinner. And I had to wear my 16 jeans for the family to see.:jump:'

feeling good the scale showed 220 today we'll see how it looks tomorrow.
 
hey guys im putting in my weight tonights I have work at 4:30am tomorrow so I figured it wont change much. Had an up an down week but still finished with a loss we'll see how this week goes. i need to lose 5 pounds to reach my HC goal of 215 so fingers crossed
 
Good Saturday morning Caspers!!

147.4 , I lost 1 lb this week. Slowing down over here, now I need all the motivation I can get.
I saw a better number on the scale thur-friday but I am going with this one..

Darn it all - up up a 1/2 a pound - I'm still at 169 which is where I started this challenge at.

I suck!!!!! :eek:
 
I'm in the same mood as you SweatPea- according to the scales, I gained 1 lb! I don't get it!! I was almost at the point of tears this morning . . ALMOST, before collecting my thoughts and being rational about it. But still . . it so SUX -I have been working my @ss off for the past 3 weeks, working my way to a healthier (and HOPEFULLY slimmer) me but the scale is not cooperating. I know, I know, its only one tool to measure, but that does not change the fact that after 3 weeks I think I actually hate it. I'm seriously considering stepping on the scale once every 2 weeks or even monthly at this point.

I'm not sure if this is a kinda of plateau, or my calories are too high (I eat between 1300-1600 a day), or what. I have been gettin my cardio in 5-6 days a week for 30-45 each session, and adding floor/strenght exercises about 2-3 times a week too.

Let there be no doubt, I am pretty MAD at the SCALE, but am not using that as an excuse to relapse- I have still lost weight and have made healthier changes and choices since starting in August. I WILL see this THRU- screw that flippin' scale!
