Weight-Loss Halloween Challange: Caspers Countdown

Weight-Loss
Durn Hajni, if I could lose half of what you lose, I'd be happy!!!!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I am at the same as when I left for vacation - so I didn't "mess" up too bad while on vacation - just a lack of exercise. Which I need to go do some right now.

Well, I give up trying . . . to understand! I stepped on the scale today and it read 173lbs., a loss of .4lbs. Great, a loss is a loss yes, but I stepped on the scale 2 days ago and it said 171.4! So i gained almost 2lbs in 2 days? I ate, exercised and drank water in the same fashion that I have over the past few weeks. THIS is why I should not step on the scale more than once a week- sure I would have been a little disappointed at only a loss of .4, but now instead of just that, Im confused and FRUSTRATED that supposedly I was down to 171.4 48 hours ago!

I'm still moving in the right direction and will continue to do so- I'm in this for the long haul- a lot longer than I anticipated lol! But long and lasting is what I'm going for!

Hope everyone else has a great weight in!

Hey All~
Well weighed in this morning.........at 207!!!!! :jump::jump: That's a WHOPPING 3.4# loss!!!!:eek:
That puts me at a little over 11 pounds since the challenge began!
I never really thought I would lose this fast. And at the rate it seems I am going I think I may have to come up with a new mini-goal.
Originally I had figured 200#'s by Thanksgiving but it would seem that I am going to hit that way sooner than anticipated. So now I am thinking that I will shoot for 185 by Christmas. If I start my mindset for that right now that gives me about I think 8-9 weeks. With an average loss of about 1.5-2 pounds a week I could get there.
Anyways, I am so happy that by Best Buddy Sweatpea hooked me up with this challenge. I really think it is one of the reasons that I have succeded so far. I am looking forward to the next challenge!
Oh by the way can anyone tell me what is the new bonus challenge for this week......I looked but couldn't find it.
Thanks!

HI Caspers!!

Bella: AWESOME!! Congrats on the 3.4 lbs!!! You are cruising!! I was looking at the updated posts and I think somehow you are a week ahead of us. LOL We are in week 6 and you have your bonus and exercises recorded under 7. I am just thinking about Tammy adding up our points and surely don't want to lose out on yours!!!!

Yarmiah: I know I go through "high and low" days, usually my high days are Sun-Mond-Tue-Wed. For instance this week on Wed I was 150.4 (up from last Sat.) and by this Sat I was 2 lbs less. I bet I will be "up" again tomorrow. I think your "high" days are the weekend days. When I started looking at the scale every day, I kind of figured out which are my low days and set my weigh-in days to that. (Thursday) And there is no way you gained 2 lbs in two days, especially since you are keeping on track!! It is just a fluctuation. Keep on going, you are getting to be in great health!!

SweatPea: congrats on the no-gain. That is a biggie after a vacation!! Just keep going.

Everybody don't forget to update your stats!!
Have a great night!!
Only two weeks left, lets put everything into it!!!
Hajni

Bell - Fantastic on your weight loss!

Yarmiah - I bet it's salt or something like that - you know those pounds are gone, just not on the day you want them to be gone.

Just stopping in to say hello again, I guess. I should go see what the challenge is for this week as well, not sure if I saw it earlier and I just forgot.

Have a great week everyone!

well I lost 2.6 pounds. 2.4 of what I gained last week and another .2. So I am happy. I am thinking I won't make it to goal. But if i don't that is alright with me, I still lost.

Hajni...You are the woman! That is incredible, how much you are still losing every week.

Bella...what a huge loss! You will be out of the 200's in no time.

SweatPea...I gained while on vacation. You did great! You kept up your exercising and eating well...good for you!

Yarmiah...That happens all the time with me. You will see the loss again...keep it up!

Cathy

Okay Girl
I went in and tried to change it (did successfully) but when I was looking at the weight part it is obvious that I messed up somehow but don't know where. Maybe Tammy can take a look and let me know. (shrugs shoulders)

Thank you Bella!! I try not to be a pain in the rear end, but I think it is my nature!! :rotflmao: I direct 18 people at work and hubby says I forget sometimes I am not at work.. LOL

So I finally took some pictures this morning and posted in my diary. I am impatient so I did not wait until I reached my goal weight but I am pretty darn close so this should really show the progress.

Back to normal today after my blah day yesterday. I did ok, the scale showed the same this morning as yesterday so I am fine. I just got done with walk away the pounds dvd and 1 mile running. Hubby and I are going for a hike right now and depending the calories burned ( I am taking my HRM with me) I will exercise some more after coming back.
Food is right on track, drinking my water!!!
I looked at my spreadsheet and my "mini-goal" weight for next week is 147, so I need to lose 1.4 lbs to reach that. I will work hard to get there.

Everybody have a great weekend what's left of it!!
Hajni

Good Morning Caspers!!

WHOO, we are number one again!! With a nice big lead!!! Now we really have to give everything we got!!!!
had 35 min exercise this morning and I have boot camp at the gym tonight and probably some elliptical.
I just realized there is a separate thread for recipes. You can tell I am a little slow on the uptake here. I already found two i am definetely going to try to make!!!
hope everybody's week is off to a great start!!!

My motivational quote for the day:

WTG Caspers! I'm glad I didn't drag you all down!

I'm going to post my goals here so I can't back out.

Goals for this week:

Water: drink 80 oz. per day
Exercise: Run/walk on treadmill and elliptical 4 x this week, Do a total trainer/weight workout 2 x this week
Food: Eat clean keep cals within 1800 or less (depending on my workouts - if I'm going to up the levels, I need a few more cals.)

That should do it.

Good luck!

MOrnin folks!
I think we are in the lead cuz we are lucky enough to have the most people still activly participating- I kinda feel bad for the other teams- they have had so many drop outs. And because we still have so many, we kinda feed off of each others enthusiasm/motivation. Which is why I NEED a Christmas challange to keep me on the path! :)

I woke up at 5am with a sour stomach so had to forego exercising this morning. I'm feeling better and guess I'll have to knock it out when I get home from work.

Keep up the good work folks!

Just got back from the YMCA where I set up a weekly program.
I will be doing weights M-W-F and swimming/cardio(equipment) T-TH.
Saturday and Sunday will be my rest days.
Also will be trying a class tonight that is called PowerCore or CorePower.
If I like it I can sign up for the next session and it won't interfere with my Master Gardner Schedule.
It is on M and W so I would be getting all my weight lifiting/resistance workouts in those two days.
The guy that I sat down with was wonderful. Said I was doing a fantastic job and that from where he was sitting I would most definately be meeting all my goals. Said I had the best attitude about the whole thing!
Even "jokingly" asked me if I wanted a job!
So anyway tomorrow I will be putting on my swimsuit for the 1st time since the end of June. Guess we will see how it fits. Can't imagine that it will be big on me as it has one of those tight corset type things that is stretchy and it was really really tight on vacation.
I'll let everyone know how it goes!

Sounds like you are having a grand ol' time at the Y! The power core class sounds like a blast.

Good luck!

Howdee folks! Hope everyone is having a good day. I've been so tired lately- little exercise over the weekend, did not get up early enough yest, but did knock out 40 min last night instead. Guess its the extra hours at work, and the new stress involved with my dad's health problems. I just finished up a yummy lunch - I found a new tuna product "Tuna Sensations" that is a small can of tuna that is flavored. I like spicy food so I got the Spicy Thai Chili wow it was SOO good! I put it on a LF tortilla with some lettuce and a little cheese. DELISH :) I'm also looking into the possiblity of checking out the gym near my work- wondering if I cant squeeze in a quick work out over my lunch to add to my 30-45 I'm tryin to do anyway. Who knows- depends on how expensive it is first.

The Y sounds fun, Bell! Too bad there is none close to me

HI Caspers!

I just realized I did not post yet today here.
Yarmiah what a great idea for exercising in lunch time. I tried to do that over the summer, I work right across a high school and they have a track to walk but I get all sweaty and yucky and there is no place to clean up so I had to ditch the idea.
Bella: congrats on the Y!!!
SweatPea: Exercise schedule looks great, i know we discussed this before and it is just my opinion but 1800 cals seems a bit high.
I am doing good, right on track with exercise and food, of course scale is up, but it is the beginning of the week so I am not sweating it.
Planning to do some running tonight after my daughter goes to bed.
gotta run,
Everybody have a great week!!!
Hajni
