I'm in the same mood as you SweatPea- according to the scales, I gained 1 lb! I don't get it!! I was almost at the point of tears this morning . . ALMOST, before collecting my thoughts and being rational about it. But still . . it so SUX -I have been working my @ss off for the past 3 weeks, working my way to a healthier (and HOPEFULLY slimmer) me but the scale is not cooperating. I know, I know, its only one tool to measure, but that does not change the fact that after 3 weeks I think I actually hate it. I'm seriously considering stepping on the scale once every 2 weeks or even monthly at this point.

I'm not sure if this is a kinda of plateau, or my calories are too high (I eat between 1300-1600 a day), or what. I have been gettin my cardio in 5-6 days a week for 30-45 each session, and adding floor/strenght exercises about 2-3 times a week too.

Let there be no doubt, I am pretty MAD at the SCALE, but am not using that as an excuse to relapse- I have still lost weight and have made healthier changes and choices since starting in August. I WILL see this THRU- screw that flippin' scale!

You have done an amazing job thru-out this whole thing. And your attitude is the best. You know that you have made positive choices/changes and that is what really counts right now.
So I will say it again..........

Okay so I am down 1.4 pounds from last week even with the tail-end of TOM. So I am pretty impressed. I did not expect to even lose anything cuz' of the big loss last week and then with TOM.
So I was updating my stats and I realized that I have lost a bit over 13#'s on this challenge! :eek:
I was always so focused on the week to week that I hadn't even paid any attention to the over-all.
I am going to miss everyone on this challenge and I owe a huge THANKS to Sweatpea for alerting me to it!
Hope to see everyone's costumes this week!
 
i hope you dont mind I need to change my number. I wieghed myself when I got home from work and im at 218.7 so Im just going to put down 219 if you guys dont mind. Which is awsome because If you recall I needed to lose 4lbs this past week and another 4 this upcoming week to reach my HC goal of 215.

Yarmiah - I've never understood why some can just lose and lose, and others can do nothing right, I always seem to be the latter. :confused:

Anyway, I guess all I can do is keep trying.

Yarmiah and Sweatpea: I am so sorry you guys have not seen a loss this week and I am totally floored by it. You both really worked hard and stuck to your plan. The only thing I can think of is the dreaded word: plateau. I feel your frustration and I really do understand all the feeling of resentment and disappointment as I have been there myself. All I can say is: don't give up.... but try something different. You both had made some awesome changes in your eating and exercise habits and no doubts both are getting healthier by the minute. Please don't give up trying... and I know it will happen.

Hajni, thanks for your support. Right now I'm thinking mine has more to do with the meds I'm on. I will talk to my dr. in a few weeks about it. It can't get any worse as long as I'm exercising, right?
 
I worked my butt of at the gym and I lost 3.8 pounds. I haven't lost that much since I started my new healthy lifestyle. I am just happy to be in the 220's!

Congratulations to everyone who lost and to Sweatpea and Yarmiah...Hang in there...it will come off.

Last Week

We have arrived to the last week of this challenge!! Let's put some extra effort into this week!! (I am trying my hardest to get as close to 145 as I can...)
I am sad this challenge is going to end!!! I really had fun and I have to thank you for all of your ongoing support!!!
I added it up, we have lost a combined of 72 lbs!!! WOW!!!

Here is to great week and the biggest losses for this week and I think we are keeping our first place!!

50 points to the team who has the most peeps on their team at the end
50 points for you in a halloween costume (put a *)on week 8 bonus
20 points if ya don't have a camera and have to google a costume(put a @ on week 8 bonus)
100 pts for goal weight met

I have my costume in the washer as I type this. Will have hubby take a picture of me and post it this week!

Over slept this morning, so will be gettin in the exercise in the PM- JOY. A healthy breakfast and lunch so far and 1/3 way thru the water.

No more news on Dad atm- only that it is a tumor on his kidney and more tests scheduled this week.

I will be particpating in an Alzheimers walk this sat- almost 3 miles. I am the captain of the team (all family members) and we ahve raised over $1200!!!! in memory of my Grandad.

My youngest smashed her thumb in the car door thursday- nothing broken thank goodness. I changed the bandages yesterday- - - the ugliest thing I have ever seen in my life- black n blue, swollen, and was bleeding a bit-she is sure to lose the nail. :eek: (shes only 7 yrs).

okay here is mine now Im kinda cheating cause we actually did this for our school spirit week: super hero day which was about three weeks ago but we are doing it for halloween too. Ive lost about 10lbs since that shot

I want to thank everyone for being so motivating throughout this challenge. You have all been great. We only have less than a week left and I so want to make it to goal for the extra 100 points. TOM is here so I see a gain on the scale now, so I hope it goes away by Saturday. Good luck everyone! We are so close in points now, anyone could win. Let's bring this home!

We are in first place I think this is like the 3rd week in a row. We are going to WIN!!! I have the extra 100 points already Caspers due to me being the forever pessimistic about my goal!! LOL
I hardly slept all night, DD was up too. I still did my 35 min walk on the treadmill this morning and plan on doing some exercises after I got home.
Found a bunch of good, easy low calorie recipes , tweaked them a little... I think I will post them in the recipe thread if I find the time today.

This challenge was a blast from start to finish, glad to have met you all!!!

I couldn't agree more, Haj! You can be sure I will continue to visit the diary's of the friends I have made here.

I peeked on the scale today, tho I know it may change, but it read
171.6lbs. As long as it stays below 173 on Saturday, I'll be happy. I got up this am and got in my exercise. And my costume is all clean and ready for a picture- hope to take it tonight and post it tomorrow at the latest!
