Firing-Up the Spirit Between Members

I want to train Tom, I'd have him up at 6am every day to take advantage of those higher T levels :yelrotflmao:

My gym doesnt open till 9 :p So unlucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do like your training style though ;)

And i never knew you had higher T levels on a morning...:D

I didnt think we had to change to doing someone else's provided routine.

I thought it was just more of a competition between two members, in aid to share knowledge and improve motivation etc. Like maybe setting targets which are agreed with each other and racing to meet those.

Thats sort of what I was going for. Two people pair up together and they are training partners. The purpose of the "draft" is just too add some fun to the mix. For example, we get a pool of people who want to participate. Everyone posts their info (height, weight, lifts, goals, etc) and whether they want to draft, or be drafted. We then randomly assign an order, which I have a program that will do this. Then the drafters review the draftees, and we start the selection process.

Once the draft is over, the two (maybe 3) people start up a journal together. They must update it at least every 3rd day or something, but the more the better. The two individuals motivate each other and can challenge each other, whatever they want. Then other participants can view other journals and see how everyone is doing.

Because honestly I am not into the trainer competition. I have people that pay me for services, it wouldnt be fair to them if I charged them, yet did others for free.

So does that mean we've scrapped the trainer aspect idea?

Personally im not up for the trainer idea. Because thats a lot of work for the trainer, and the trainee as they will need to change their routine's etc.

Currently i dont want to change my routine drastically, im making improvements on it as time goes by.

What does everyone else think though?

I Am Definately For Doing This! I Would Love The Opportunity To Work With Someone Who Knows Thier Stuff, And Compete Against Them To Overall Improve Both Of Ourconditions!~ Let Me Know! Woo Chillen

edit: full caps is not allowed on the forum apparently lol

I am just beginning to train seriously, although I have a pretty good bit of knowledge I can use to reach my goals I'm sure I could benefit from this.

I can take a lot of **** and pressure, I need a hard ass...to look over me and tweak my workouts if needed, I need someone who does not hold back and has the ability to say whats on their mind...

So, who wants to get to work with me? I'm down.

:D

I dont want a ''trainer'' as such.

For me personally i want somebody who is wanting to cut, but also wants to still gain in lifts (obviously). So i can compare, get ideas of what they are doing and share with them my ideas.

Working together in a way, with friendly competition.

Feel the absolute brute power of forum unity! :)

By working together as a TEAM we can assist in being the "stepping stone" for forum brotha and sista's reaching their goal dreams.

Educated support and encouragement, FLAT ROCKS! :)

We dont need the BS "some" other forums provide.....we stand united! :)

Okay........

Lets look at the goal participants and trainers, to see where we stand "presently".

Again, those that want to be a goal participant or trainer, make it "specifically" known.

We need a set of "observers", and since mods/admin (have the power, ;)), they can work together on this one, and they can decide among them who it is. Mreik is one thus far.

As of today, June 26th, 2008 (at the time writing this post), these are the goal participants: (no particular order)

  • Kraken
  • BigTom
  • JDie2003
  • Focus
  • iwasfatbefore
  • Hardyb
  • Crarzyboy
  • rideandshoot
  • Realworksucks (RWS!)
  • Shayner
  • Soridere
  • JackP
  • EricL
  • Dallen
  • 5Spirit
  • Woodt
  • Lillian
  • FlyinFree

Sparrow, Stingo, G8R80? Are you willing? I didnt see any specific statement saying so. Just specifiy which you want to be.

I am calling out 4 youngsters, who havent posted in this thread:

Smithmachine, Phate, Jackie11, and SpicyPumkin, come on! Join up, the benfits "could" be astounding for your personal goal----progression.

If I left anyone out, I apologize in advance, its not intentional.

Trainers:(no particular order)

  • Mreik (?, and/or supervisor, referee, peace keeper, etc :))
  • EVO
  • LV (?) A PM is necessary.
  • Tony M
  • SkianS 40
  • CCR (?)
  • Chillen
  • Malkore (?) A PM is necessary.
  • JP Fitness (?) A PM is necessary.
  • Jaim91

We are currently lacking in the trainer side of the program. If I had missed someone please let me know.

I am going to review the rest of the most recent comments, and post some more when I do.

ROCK ON!

This rocks.

We have all the power at fitness.com. :)

Best wishes,

Chillen

Wow - reading this thread has my head spinning....

I understand the excitement of having a "competition", however, does it really need to be a competition? Without competition, you wouldn't need a "level" playing field. Why can't two people with similar goals, etc. can be paired up to work together - more of workout 'buddies' (for lack of a better word).

People can either be paired up as more experienced vs less experienced OR even equal experienced with same goals to challenge and encourage each other.

If it needs to be a challenge, what is the challenge? How will it be judged? Who reaches their goals the best?

Maybe I am completely missing the point (wouldn't be the first time).

C~spot, if you want, I can play trainer. I'm fine either way. To be honest I'm not sure I would even be willing to change ANYTHING I'm doing right now. :p

I wanted to be a drafter. Maybe we should split this into two different ideas? A draft and a trainer challenge? Then they can possibly be merged because whoever works with the same trainer can then partner up through the draft for a specific e partner?

This might be a good idea. There are members who have the same goals from what I've seen on this thread. Such as members being in a cutting stage after bulking. But, there might not be anyone who has the same goals as me. Which is to lose 60-80lbs. So a draft might fit some peoples goals and situation better.

So maybe there should be 2 groups?

How do i raise my chances of getting the first pick? :p or will the trainers be picking?!? So many details...
